Hello, guild! This is my first thread here [due to the terrible internet connection, otherwise I would've posted sooner] and this is my little rut~

I'm what most call "skinny-ish", meaning I could be thin, but I'm not.

Impromptu pic?

The source of the problem: my less-than-healthy [or, blatantly dangerous] diet.

For whatever reason, I've developed an "L" diet [reference to Death Note, in which the character "L" has, too, a very unhealthy diet] and I can't seem to break it.

It's not that bad, or at least so bad that it's not hard to break, however, I know it's a problem.

Lately, fatigue and my already-there insomnia have been hitting me harder than usual. My diet, consisting mainly of water, Nesquik chocolate milk, sunflower seeds, original Lays potato chips, limeade, and chocolate chip cookies, isn't helping.

Especially during school days, that's ALL I eat. No joke.

So, I want to find some cheap and healthy alternatives. My family isn't the richest, and my mother blatantly refuses to change our every-other-weekly grocery list "just" so I'll eat healthier.

My main meals, when they're healthy, are breakfast and lunch, with maybe a snack in the evening. I've only eaten dinner on one other occasion in my life, so three square meals a day would only hurt my cause.

As for exercise [moving away from my repulsive diet] I'm an amateur dancer, only doing so in private. As soon as my diet improves, I want to get some of my Michelin man arms/thighs and tummy off of my anatomy.

In conclusion, my dearest guild, I would like advice on:

A) Improving my diet
B) Working my arms/thighs/tummy . . . especially my love-handles. Dx

Can I identify with you.

I eat the sweets, but I just sleep, and sleep, and sleep.

Now! On to my advice for you!

For diet wise, try your best. Lay off the cookies and other sweets and only use them as a snack, as in, once a day. That’s what I try to do.

Exercise now, that’s my thing. I play DDR like a maniac, even though I kinda suck. I just put it on workout mode and dance until I can hardly breath. Dancing is a fan-tab-ulastic way to exercise. It all depends on your music, I find hip hop and R&B combined with lots of hip rolling and rump shaking are awesome for the tummy. Swing dancing in general is a total body workout.

As for your arms and legs. Legs with disappear with dancing, as will arms if you use them right. Push ups and weights help too. What I like to do, is when watching Ghost Hunters and Mythbusters, I do a few situps and push ups during the commercials then pop back on the couch as soon as they’re over.

Until I saw your siggy, I thought you were my friend... oops. Oh well, you look the same body wise... Ever considered semi-vegetarianism? You eat white meat, and plant matter. Lay off the sweets, eat those sunflower seeds, and dance. Best advice I can give you, since I don't really know you, or your body's specifics.
