Kessel wandered through the snow on his own, having wandered some ways away from Bale. He figured he'd stay close to the ruins of the buildings, however, and always kept them in his sights, not wanting to be a bother to the older wolf by getting lost himself. He rolled about in the snow, and sighed lightly as he gazed out into the distance, wondering if there were any other wolves in Bale's pack.

Naorue moved slowly through he snow, leaping over it a with ever few steps. She wasn't sure where she was, where she was going, or why really, but seeing as she had nothing better to do she saw no harm in finding something. After landing form another leap she spotted ahead a wolf, a somewhat familiar pup. As she trudged forward she recalled having seen him before, in the woods with Makena.

"Oh, hey, hey you!" Quickening her pace she hurried towards him, tail wagging at having found someone else.

Kessel blinked a little as the familiar voice reached his ears, and his tongue lolled out the side of his mouth in a big smile as he saw who it was. "Hey! It's you!" he called back, and darted toward her, kicking up snow along they way, tail wagging. He had been growing terribly bored, and was happy to see a somewhat familiar face. I remember you!" he said happily, inwardly glad to see that she wasn't with the angry adult.

Nao sped up even more when she say him coming towards her, bouncing around the other pup cheerfully. "Yeah, it's me. I remember you too." She came to a momentary stop and cocked her head to the side. "I don't remember if you gave a name though, but I'm Naorue!"

Kessel laughed when they reached each other. It was nice not to be alone. "Oh yeah. I didn't, because that bigger guy scared me. My name's Kessel. I'm glad you came, Naorue, it's really boring around here." he said, the smile lingering on his maw as he sat down in front of her, glancing back at the ruins that lay some distance away.

Naorue sat down in the snow when the male did, grinning back. "Oh yeah, well it is nice to meet you. " She shot a quick glance around before nodding. "It must be, I haven't seen any one else until I came across you. Where is everyone?"

Kessel flopped onto his stomach and stretched towards her in a playful fashion, yawning a little before replying. "I dunno...My pack leader isn't around here anymore I don't think, but I'm staying here in case he comes back." he said nodding back toward the destroyed buildings. He then hopped up, smirking mischievously. "You wanna play for a while?"

Nao pawed at him when he stretched towards her, glancing back at the ruins. "I see. Must be terribly lonely with no one else around. She turned back to look at him and nodded, grinning broadly. "Alright, I'll play with ya!" She pawed again at his head before bouncing back a step, crouching down in the snow with her rump wagging in the air.

Kessel snickered, and leapt toward the female, tail wagging as he tried to pounce on her. "It really is. I wish there were more puppies around. I guess we're sort of scattered..." he said, and nipped at her side, though it was very light, and only meant as playful nibbling. "Where did you come from, anyway?"

Naorue rolled to the side of the pounce, tumbling over into the snow. "There aren't many pups?" When he lightly nipped her side he nipped back, rolling over to her other side before bouncing to her feet. "Me? I'm not sure anymore. From that way, but how far I don't recall." She nodded sharply towards the paw prints that led away in the direction she had moved from.She really didn't remember, probably not the best thing for one to wander around alone but she liked it better than sitting alone in one place.

Nao let out a sharp bark and dashed around the male, running in small circled around him.

Kessel laughed, and tumbled over her, laughing. "I'm not sure...there aren't any around here besides you and me, that I know of." he said, and tried to follow her as she got up and ran a circle around him, only to twist around too far and fall back down into the snow. "I'm glad that big scary guy didn't get you." he said with a snicker, getting back up to shake the snow off, and chase after her again.

Naorue chuckled as Kessel fell, ducking her head slightly as he shook snow from his fur. "Oh, well that's a bit odd. But I am glad nothing happened to you as well, I did feel kind of bad for leaving you behind with him still there." She looked again back at the ruined building before looking to Kessel. "What's inside those?" She wondered curiously, glancing back at the buildings at her question.

Kessel laughed. "Yeah, me too. I thought for sure he was going to tear apart your weird friend." he said, remembering the freakishly colored puppy that Naorue had been with that day. "And uhh...not much. It's all rubble. I met my pack leader there about a day ago, but there isn't much there." he said, standing still for a moment to observe the buildings. Being so young, he was unaware of who or what had left the ruins there in the first place.

"I'm glad no one got hurt, that was one grumpy adult." Looking back at the buildings she snuffled lightly. "Not much? What if it had some secrets hidden away that no one knows about." She looked back at Kessel, smiling. "Like secret rooms or something."

"I'm glad too." he agreed, and pawed idly at the snow as he observed the buildings, smiling at her her proposition. "I dunno. Maybe we should check it out! Some of them are just rubble though, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt if we went and poked around a little." he replied with a grin, tail wagging.

Nao shifted quickly from paw to paw, excitement building at the thought of an adventure. "Yeah, okay! Maybe we will find something neat that no one else knows about." After a bit more paw shifting she bounded towards the buildings, sliding to a halt and spinning once to make sure Kessel was following.

Forte's snout was against the floor snuffing a little at it, looking for something to eat. Her ears twitched hearing the sound of others in the area. Lifting her black furred head, with its blue markings, it tilted listening. They sounded harmless enough, and only two, she could hear. She looked around her, she was on an upper level of a ruined building. She placed her paws up on a window's ledge and looked out the best she could, but she wasn't able to see anyone. Pushing off it, and she pressed on, lowering herself to the ground floor, wondering which building the others she had heard went too.

"Sounds fun!" he said, tail wagging as he darted after her. "Beat you there!" he said as he barreled past her, kicking up snow and laughing as he raced toward the nearest intact building, not quite noticing the little head that had peered up over the windowsill moments before.

"Oh we'll see about that!" Nao giggled and shook snow form her head that was kicked up, racing after Kessel towards the building. The head as well went unnoticed by her as she sped through the snow, bouncing in her steps. She stumbled lightly over hidden rocks in the snow, slowing her pace as paw landed on the flooring of the building. "This place looks really old."

The echoes of the other two reached Forte's ears and she perked up some. She was further back in the same building. She hoped they were friendly. She glanced back at her footprints that had been pressed into the areas of snow, that reached the floor from the holes in the top. She started to wander toward the voices wiggling herself through hole to reach another room.

"Yeah, it does." he said as he stepped in through a big hole in the wall, sniffing about at the floor. Strange, vague smells. He stepped in and called out. "Hello?? Anybody in here?" he perked his ears, listening for a response. Maybe Bale or some other wolf was taking refuge. It seemed like a good place to do so.

Naorue continued further in, nose to the floor and snuffling loudly. She stopped mid-stepped and jerked her head up, nose wrinkling before she let out a loud sneeze. When Kessel called out she glanced back at him before looking around the room they were currently in. "You think anyone is here?"

Blinking, Forte thought about responding. It could end badly, but they sounded young, like her, so maybe she would be okay. She mulled over the thought before she barked. "Uh... Yes back here~" Her blue eyes shifted around to take in the surroundings, as she padded her way over to a crack in the wall, and she pulled herself up and landed on the other side.

Kessel blinked in surprise as he did receive a response. "Wow, there is someone? Hello, where are you?" he called again, heading in the direction the voice had come from. "I didn't think anyone would be here..." he said as he moved back to find the new pup.

Nao spun in place at the sound of the voice, gaze running over walls and shadows. "Oh, someone is here!" Seeing Kessel walk off she quickly spun to follow, bounding after him before slowing pace with his.

"I'm over here!" She called out. She wasn't to sure where they were, or she was. The size of the structure was unknown to her as well. She sniffed at the air, and moved to to the right, going into another room, and then she saw shadows on floor of the other side faintly, through a hole in the wall. "On the other side of the wall~" She padded over and stuck her snout into the whole.

Kessel finally realized it, and ran to meet the other puppy. "Here she is." he said, tail wagging as he peered around the wall at the other female. "Who are you?" he asked with interest, tail still wagging. "My name's Kessel." he said, and looked back to Naorue, smiling.

Naorue trotted to the hole in the wall and shoved her own nose to the other females. "Hi there! I'm Naorue." She backed up and moved to where Kessel was, peering around the wall at the dark female.

Forte murfed and jumped back a little, as the female shoved her snout against hers and she blinked over at them. She wagged her tail so much, her butt wagged with it. She padded over to them, and placed her paws on the wall where they peered. "Naorue? It's nice to meet you!. I'm Forte~" Nodding some, looking to the male, waiting for a name.


"Kessel." he repeated, and smiled kindly. "Do you live in this place? I bet it's a nice spot to get out of the wind." he observed, and tried to find a break in the wall so they could all be in the same room. "I guess I didn't check well enough earlier. I looked in another one of these buildings earlier, but I didn't really go inside."

Naorue nodded. "It is nice to meet you as well, Forte." She looked with Kessel for a way in and spotted a crack that looked big enough for them to squeeze through. She padded over to a small pile of rubble and made her way up it, wobbling a bit as it shifter under paw. With a wiggle of her rump she leapt onto and through the crack, landing with a stumble on the other side.

"Wow, it was higher than I thought." Grinning she padded over to the other female and sat down beside her. "I suppose this place does get you out of the wind."

Forte nodded at the male. "Kessel." She repeated to be sure she was saying it right, and as they looked, the female had joined her. "It is, alot of smaller rodents come here too, so it's usually easy enough to find food." She nodded, and then settled down next to Naorue. "Are you two just exploring? I don't seem many others in the area."

"Really? That's pretty great, I wouldn't have suspected much to be living in here, though it does make sense." he said, and followed after Naorue, observing the pretty black and blue pup when he got to the other side."Yeah, we were exploring. Her idea...I might have gone into one of these things earlier, but I didn't wanna go in alone." he admitted rather sheepishly.

"Rodents, ehh?" Nao peered around quickly for any sign of other life, though there appeared to be nothing else with them at the moment. "Yes, exploring~ Looking for secret rooms and treasures! You wanna look with us?" Nao smiled and cocked her head to the side as she waited for the other female's reply.

Forte watched Kessel and laughed a little at his remark. "Well that is understandable. I won't either. These places are rather creepy. Being that its so open, you never really know what will show up." Her ears perked up some to the idea of playing with them. She barked excitedly. "Really Naorue? I'd really enjoy that~"

Kessel smirked a little, and then wagged his tail, nodding in agreement. "Yeah come with us! Unless you know this place already?" he asked curiously, unsure of how long she had been there. He bounced away a few steps to sniff around the floor, peering about cautiously.

Naorue jumped up and wagged her tail. "Yeah!" She sniffed the floor, tail wagging behind her as she zig-zagged around the room. "Yeah, how long have ha been here?" She sneezed again and raised her head, peering around for a moment before looking back at the other two.

Forte had to think a little at the question. "For about 6 days now? I haven't exactly gone exploring aside from looking for food." She nodded watching the two. She then got back onto all fours, and she waited for one of them to take the lead. "There's alot of areas I haven't checked out yet. Might have some food."

Kessel nodded. "That makes sense. It's never been very easy to find very much good food." he said, and took the lead, making his way through the closed room they were in. He jumped a bit as he heard a scurrying and a squeak, a bit startled as it echoed a little. "You were right, Forte." he said, and laughed at himself.

Forte blinked and pawed around some. "No doubt. This placed seemed pretty abandoned when I can around." She stretched some and padded over to join the female. "The other buildings have them too."
