A storm. It was just a storm.

Or at least that’s what they want you to believe.

The wind howled and the rain came down so rapidly that the children of Heedwic believed devils in the skies were weeping, sobbing so hard that their tears might eventually drown the city.

And some would say that their little theories were partly true.

The devils in the sky wept continuously for three days and the ghosts of wolves that swept through the wind would howl a low and saddened howl for those three days.

But they weren’t wolves.

For wolves are not evil creatures, wolves do not prey on young children just for the sake of destroying something beautiful…

…something pure.

53 cot deaths occurred in those three days.

Light.
The light went out on the third day, a blanket of black had been thrown over the city. The devils stopped crying and all was quiet.

Dead silent in fact.

The eerie quiet only lasted 53 minutes.

A flash of hellfire and a giant roar straight from Gods mouth, something swept through the city.

There was silver.
There was Gold.

But the sun didn’t return.

A constant and strong wind caused buildings to crumble, people were killed…they were mauled to death.

Their bodies in shreds, organs missing.

Mutilated with blades.
Mutilated with fire.

Heedwic transformed into hell on earth.

It was not just a storm.

The city of Heedwic has been left a total wreck from a fierce storm, there is no day for it is constantly night…although the stars do not shine anymore and the moon only ever glows a violent red. Many have been killed by being crushed by falling buildings but even more have been killed in such gruesome and mysterious ways that some don’t even believe it is true.

Children have been snatched, some small corpses have been found in the rivers and under the rubble but on the most part children are just missing. Many have fled the city but strangely…it has been known that the people who have attempted to leave have been found days later strung up by ropes hanging from the walls of the grand church, placed dead in the centre of the city.

Most will now not dare to leave in fear of being slaughtered and then displayed in the church. The priest is still alive and he still lives in the church, the citizens of Heedwic have turned against him, they have become paranoid and seem to think he has something to do with the strange goings on in the city.

With all of this going on people do not trust each other anymore, living in the city means constantly being on guard…not only are these ‘demons’ killing but so are the citizens of Heedwic.

People are basically trying to find a way out of Heedwic…well, some are trying to find a way to be rid of what ever is terrorizing the city…but most are just trying to find a way out.

Main locations.

The Church – A Grand and most beautiful building with much religious art and architecture placed right in the centre of the city. Heedwic is a place of religion and much superstition, the church was once a joyful and bright place…there was always something going on in there but now the church has more dead visitors than live ones. The dead are often found strung up with their eyes gauged out in the main worshipping room. Although this place is now probably the worst place in the city, people still live there…not wanting to leave their home. Father Tunston, the main priest still resides there…along with a couple of monks. They usually clear the bodies away when they find them in the church and give those poor souls a good burial. (The monks are available as characters)

Dovedon Inn – This is the main pub in the city, many would go there just to be merry and drink. So many good memories still haunt the inn that sometimes, in these times of dark people can still talk about the good times…it cheers them up, people still go there to drown their sorrows and quite a few have taken refuge in there since their houses have been destroyed by the storm. An elderly woman runs the pub along with her two adult daughters (the two daughters are available as characters)

Imson Park – The Park was once a place where families would go to sit in the sun, look for wildlife, sun bathe in the grass and swim in the little pond. Where young boys would go hunting for frogs and bumble bees and little girls would pick flowers and make daisy chains. However that place no longer exists, the once green grass is now brown and dead, there are no flowers to pick or frogs to hunt. Grumbles and growls are heard from the park so people do not dare to enter there. There have always been rumours about elves living in the park…or under it, hiding amongst the woodland parts of the park. (Elves are available as characters)

Graveyard – The graveyard is just your average graveyard, it’s kind of creepy…as graveyards can be. However every single gravestone has been smashed and some bodies have even been dug up and placed about the city as if to try and scare people. A very cruel practical joke some call it. People rarely venture near the graveyard anymore since it is just too scary. There have been reports of spirit sightings and zombie sightings but this could very well just be the imaginations of over tired and paranoid people.

The castle – The royal family lived here…until they went missing. The castle is huge and overlooks the city on a small hill. All royal servants have been found dead within the castle and prisoner in the castle dungeons have all been released back into the city. (missing royal family members and criminals are available as characters)

Available races

Humans – must be a citizen of Heedwic, they usually have a range of skills and a greater range of flaws. Usually quite insecure in comparison to other races with too many emotions and doubts. All humans are very different to one another in appearance and personality.

Elves – Usually fair haired and petite, at one with nature with an ability to always be positive. Simple minded and good natured…although often a little proud. They are full of love and don’t have a nasty bone in their bodies. They get some sort of high from making people smile and often don’t understand sadness. They are very quick and some but not all are able to disappear and be invisible for a few hours.
Their weaknesses include:
Human tears (it burns their skin)
The cold
Salt

Angels – They have descended from above to help save the city of Heedwic for their duty is to protect innocent mortals from what should be in hell. Although angels are often perceived as being kind and gentle beings they are in fact harsh warriors, they are not very emotional beings and do not care for anything but their missions. Their mission at the present being destroy the creatures from hell and close the gateway in which they came through. Angels have great physical strength and a strong love for music, some even have the ability to sing their enemies into a sleepy trance.
Their weaknesses include:
Gold
Blood (burns their skin)
Anti religious signs

Hounds – They are not dogs as you might have thought, they are shadowy beings that can take the form of a black dog if they like but usually look human. They usually have dark hair and dark eyes and they are tall. The hounds are the ones that took the 53 babies from their cribs. They killed them and drank their blood, they feed from the innocent…they thirst for blood and they eat souls. They are very troublesome and like to frighten people just for the fun of it…probably the ones stringing up the dead in the church and scattering dead bodies around the city, maybe to taunt their enemies.
Their weaknesses include:
Sun light
Impure souls (Eating the soul of a sinful person would kill them)
Holy water
Crucifix
Salt

Lost souls – The souls of the dead that went to hell, they are either very angry beings or very sorrowful beings. Usually full of guilt from their sins, very defensive…the last thing they want is to go back down into hell. They are unsure how they managed to claw their way out of there but they did and now they want to stay in Heedwic. They lack direction and don’t really have much of a purpose.

Demons – Very similar to angels, in fact they are pretty much the same race with a few differences, for one they come from hell. Their mission to destroy the angelic army of course. They do not possess musical abilities but the ability to control fire. Very persuasive and great liars. They can see into the souls of mortals and know of their sins and guilt.
Their Weaknesses include:
Sun Light
Silver
Crucifix
Holy Water

When making a character remember to give them flaws, I do NOT want perfect, unbeatable and stereotypical characters. They must have a history that explains why they are the way they are. Your character must act in accordance with the personality and abilities you have originally given them. Your character will not instantly know what is going on and will not always have the answers. Please think through your characters carefully and post carefully.

Please try and follow my guide lines and pick a race from above, how ever if you’d like to use a race that is not up there feel free to do so but make that race fit into the story…I don’t want random robots or aliens wandering around or anything like that razz

You are allowed 3 characters max…unless you message me and convince me otherwise.

You must message me your character profiles and I will post them if I decide you are acceptable.

Application.

Characters.

Just-Kill-It-Please

Name: Gray Orithia
Race: Hound
Gender: Male
Age: 10033
Appearance: User Image
Personality: Believes himself to be above it all, even his own race. He has a sharp tongue and a very cruel sense of humour, but that’s all everything is to him…humour. He doesn’t consider himself evil, he considers himself care free and in it for himself and himself only. Everything he does, he does because it thrills him…he doesn’t think that feeding on the souls of innocent people is bad because he does not think there is anything wrong with taking life from something that will eventually die anyway. He loves to play with humans, he likes to scare them and he loves to see their tears. He thinks it somewhat beautiful…all of that emotion running around inside of them. Gray Orithia is not set on killing angels or doing what ever the demons order him to do…he works under no one. He doesn’t like to be put under the label Hound because he does not want to be part of those he believes fools. He is his own being and does what ever the hell he likes!
Bio: As a mortal he did many bad things, plenty of theft and murder. So he went to hell and in hell he earned the rank of Hound. As a hound he is expected to do as the demons in hell tell him and for the first couple of hundred years he did as he was told. He stole the souls of many innocent people and slaughtered any angels he happened to come across. He terrorized certain churches throughout the world and lived a pretty ignorant life. Although he worked for the forces of hell he was still mistreat by hell, he was tortured, beaten and punished when ever he stepped out of line. He did not know of his freedom until one night he thought ‘why am I taking orders from those I do not truly respect?’ When he heard of the upcoming war that would take place in Heedwic he saw it as an opportunity…a way to get out of hell and live amongst mortals who would not order him around but fear him instead. So that is how he comes to be in Heedwic. When arriving in Heedwic he had a wale of a time terrorizing the mortals…laughing at their screams and tears as they discovered the hell that was unravelling around them. He did however get a little bored and now he seeks angels…is there a place for him in heaven?
Other information: Gray is uncertain of exactly what he wants, he changes his mind a lot and is prone to making haste decisions and bouts of extreme anger.

Name: Virgil White
Race: Angel
Gender: Male
Age: 20001
Appearance: User Image
Personality: An over zealous Angel, absolutely devoted to his God and his cause. He believes that all who sin against God and the heavens should be burnt in hell, he feels no pity for the evil…however believes that anyone who is willing can redeem themselves and live in the light instead of in the darkness. He is defiantly one of the kinder angels out there and can see the good in those who are good and thinks it important to encourage the good in people. A very humble and approachable angel…however he can be sharp and stern when he feels it necessary, he has no problem in punishing those that have sinned and he does not feel a thing when slaughtering those that are to be slaughtered.
Bio: Virgil started out his life as a guardian angel; his job was to watch over mortals he was assigned to. He would guide through their dreams and with signs…the mortals were often oblivious to his presence but Virgil felt that in some sort of way deep down in their consciousness they knew they had someone watching over them. He would watch a life from birth until death, if he had done a good job that soul would go to heaven and he would meet the person he had been watching for so many years, however if he had done bad they would go to hell. More of his mortals have gone to hell than heaven…but you’ll find that’s the case with most guardian angels. There are more sinners than do gooders. During his time as a guardian he had seen so many awful things and so many good things, the good would outshine the bad…the good he saw gave him hope for the human race…the only problem was them blasted demons, they would whisper to the mortals and they would tempt them into hell. After many years Virgil could not stand to see another soul go to hell, he could not stand to fail yet again…and that was when he decided he would be a warrior angel. He would fight against his enemies face to face, he would punish them for taking the souls he had hoped and prayed for.

blackbeltsquirrel

Name: Shalom, which means "He Who Cries Fire"
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: User Image
For the most part, he looks like the picture, except for some important differences. Shalom's human tears from his half-human side have burned his face. His eyes are red, disfigured, and useless. Deep red burns stretch from his eyes down his cheeks. He has pointed elf ears. However, his bangs cover most of his face, stretching down to above his mouth. His hair covers his ears, eyes, and most of his burns. The collar of his trench coat is instead a hood that he normally wears. He also has white wraps that stretch to the first knuckle of each of his fingers. He keeps a flute inside of his trench coat. His weapons are two daggers shaped like crosses. The hilts are brown like the top of the cross, and the blade is silver like an average dagger. He holds the daggers with the blade coming up between his middle and ring fingers, and the two guards go between his index fingers and thumbs, and behind his pinkies. The guards somewhat protect his fingers from being cut, but he still gets slightly cut from it. However, he doesn't normally use them. He normally uses his flute for magic and to command his wolves. He has a main pet wolf named Urufu, who he always keeps at his side. He can also summon other wolves in the night to fight for him.

Bio: Shalom was born of a human man and an elven women. He was never told who his parents were, only that his mother died in child birth and his father left the forest. He almost died as a baby when his human tears burnt his flesh. Only by elven magic was he kept alive. His eyes became red, disfigured, and useless, and deep burns stretched down his cheeks. He grew up blind, honing his other senses. He soon learned to sense through magic; to see deeper into the world around him, without having to go through the visual to get to it. Because of this, despite his blindness, he can sense much of his surroundings and the people around him.

Two elven parents decided to raise Shalom alongside their other son. Shalom's childhood was horrendous, because the elves couldn't understand his sadness, and because whenever he cried he went through inhuman pain. He had to learn how to fend for himself as the outcast. He became a recluse among a reclusive people. Furthermore, he aged dramatically faster, and was catching up to his older foster brother by the time he left. The one thing where he could relate to his fellow elves was with music. Shalom had a deep love of music, and was a prodigy. At a young age, he foster parents gave him a beautiful flute, and he soon began to play incredible songs. However, they were often songs of sadness, which the elves didn't like and didn't understand. Eventually, at the age of 9, Shalom ran away to the humans. He hoped that the humans could understand him, but they didn't. They were afraid of him, and called him a demon. When they realized he was not a demon, they started calling him the Daemon, because they still thought he was some kind of demon.

He was eventually found by Father Tunston, who pitied him, and took him in. Shalom took up residence in the church basement, and became a devout priest. He learned divine magic, how to heal and smite. At night he would go out, found a quiet place, and play his songs. His songs were magical, and the people who could hear them began to call it "the Daemon's Song." At the age of 14, Shalom found a lone wolf and befriended him. Shalom could understand him, and he could understand Shalom. He named the wolf Urufu. Shalom learned how to use his flute to tell Urufu what to do when they were attacked, using it for other magic at the same time. He can also summon other wolves to his side. When Shalom plays his flute, he plays based on the feelings he gets from the world around him and the people he senses. He played a single song throughout the entire storm, the best he had ever played. He hasn't left the church since the storm.

Personality: Shalom is a very calm and contemplative person. Anyone who talks to him can sense the intense sadness he goes through. He loves music and animals, and tries to send back a summoned wolf before he is hurt, even if it means Shalom will be hurt instead. However, he still bears some things from his elven side. He doesn't like fighting. He has a hard time understanding his own sadness (although that is often a human trait). One of his chief goals to understand sadness. Demons fascinate him, because he believes that they understand sadness. However, at the same time he despises them because of the evil things they do. He is a devout Christian, and keeps a small Bible inside of his trench coat (the Latin kind, which he can speak).

XDangerXStarX

Name: Rudolph Pennyweaver
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Age: 98
Appearance: User Image
Personality: Rudolph is the typical elf, happy go lucky and a little vain…always carrying a tiny mirror with her. Rudolph believes that a good deed is always worth doing, even if it only helps one person. She can be a little shy now and then but not all of the time, she just sort of blends into the background if there is someone around who might intimidate her a little. She sees good in almost everything and everyone, a bad situation or mood can easily be turned round when it comes to Rudolph…it’s all about being happy and working with what you’ve got, even if it isn’t much; complaining never solved anything!
Bio: She grew up in Imson park with her large elven family, She had 6 sisters, 3 brothers, a mother, a father and 3 aunts and uncles plus 5 cousins. They all shared a large under ground home, directly under Imson Park, they would enter through a secret doorway in a large hollow tree then go down a spiral staircase. Growing up she learnt how to hide herself very well, since she lived in a community of elves that lived secretly amongst humans the art of being invisible and blending in was essential. Before the storm she made a living writing short stories for the elven children of Imson park, she sold her books for very little gold since she wanted her stories to be accessible to every elven child. Being an elf she absolutely loves nature, especially insects. Growing up she found that insects could be very useful indeed and she got on with them incredibly well. She was even somewhat inspired by them, some of her best work was about insects…one of her most well known stories being ‘the little spider and his yellow spots’ that very story written about a baby spider she had actually met. The spider had come to her in despair, confused as to why he had yellow dots on his back. Rudolph explained to him it was just simply how he looked and that he was not to worry…she convinced him his yellow spots were handsome and would some day attract a lady spider. Rudolph has some knowledge about combat and weaponry, her father, one uncle and her brothers had a weaponry business, making and selling weapons of all kinds. She learnt much about fighting, often dueling her brothers when they wanted to practice their swordsmen ship…they didn’t like it when their little sister beat them now and again though. She has a silver sword with green gems in the hilt; it was a gift from her father when she sold her very first book. Although she was not allowed contact with humans sometimes she would wander the park and read her stories to little mortal children, at one point she had about 15 children coming to the park every day to gather round her as she read them her short stories. They did not know she was an elf but they did know she was not human. Rudolph had a wonderful and very fulfilling life until the storm. Most of the elves fled Imson park as soon as the trouble started, she and her family decided to stay put…but it didn’t do them any good for they were all picked off one by one, She was left just her, a brother two sisters and an aunt. They decided never to leave their little underground home since everytime someone went out they would eventually end up missing. So now they are underground waiting for this horror to end. Rudolph is spending most of her time writing, she plans on dedicating a small story to every one of her deceased family members.
Other information: Rudolph has the ability to call a small sparrow to her whenever she needs him, he is called Cupid.

Name: Adonia Morgenstern
Race: Angel
Gender: Female
Age: 777
Appearance: User Image
Personality: Adonia is often very stern and quiet, giving the impression she’s angry a lot of the time when she actually isn’t angry at all. It’s just the way she is, she isn’t very sociable and can sometimes snap at people even when they don’t deserve it…she just can’t be bothered to listen to someone yapping on about pointless things, especially mortals. Although she is a protector of the mortals they don’t half get on her nerves, they come out with unnecessary things and ask too many questions and even after all of their questions are answered they still remain ignorant and naive…well at least that’s how Adonia sees them. She’s a natural leader, able to take control of any situation; being very organized and punctual making her one of Gods most trusted and relied on warriors.
Bio: Adonia was a warrior from the moment she was created; being strong and stupidly brave got her noticed by the higher ranks. Her first years were spent simply guarding the heavenly gates but she was soon promoted and moved up to the front line where she would face many demons and earn many heavenly gifts as she moved up the ranks, like the power to emit heavenly light from her palms and better weaponry and armor. Being only 111 years old she had already achieved what much older angels could not and then her sister was created, Zuriel, personality wise they were completely different but skills wise Zuriel followed in Adonias footsteps. Working her way up to a very respected position. The girls were a little competitive and would often make bets on who would kill the most demons and such. Adonia would always win of course…being older and stronger with much more experience. Zuriel would get jealous and feel pushed out, her glory always outshined by Adonia and her commitment. Adonia would often argue with her younger sister but these arguments were small and meaningless in the eyes of Adonia, she thought them unimportant which would madden Zuriel even more…but the girls stayed good friends. They became partners and were often sent out into the mortal world together to battle the forces of evil. A particular mission changed everything between the girls. Their mission was to go down to hell posing as demons, and assassinate as many demons as possible…it was to weaken hells forces before an upcoming war. However suddenly turned on Adonis. She said she would stay in hell, she did not want to go back to heaven. She said she did not want to be in the same army as Adonia for Adonia was vain and took all of the glory. Adonia begged her sister to reconsider but she would not. They got involved in a fight, Adonia over powering a younger sister of course. She threatened that if Zuriel refused to come back she would have to kill her there and then. Zuriel laughed at her threat spitting in her face with Adonias blade at her throat she did not cower. Adonia turned from her unable to kill the girl who had been her bestest friend for so many years and that was the last she saw of her sister. She often thinks of her sister but has come to terms with the fact that Zuriel is now her enemy. Adonia went on to do well, being renowned for her fighting ability. She eventually made leader…she had her own group of warriors to be in charge of now. She heard of the strange going ons in Heedwic and was sent with her angels down to figure out what exactly was going on. She personally suspects a portal of some sort was opened in Heedwic, she plans on finding the portal and closing it.

Name: Zuriel Morgenstern
Race: Demon
Gender: Female
Age: 666
Appearance: User Image
Personality: A very bold and fun seeking girl, she’s unable to keep herself from speaking her mind and can offend quite easily…even when she doesn’t mean to…but she usually means to. She feels powerful and likes to let people know that she’s above them. A very arrogant and often sarcastic demon with a hot temper. She doesn’t like to just get the job done she likes to have fun with it, she likes to toy with her victims…make them suffer. She is absolutely in love with music, she puts it before most things. She hates God with a passion and isn’t really all that enthusiastic about the hell god (the devil) she just loves doing what she’s doing. She likes to be in charge and she welcomes admirers and compliments.
Bio: Zuriel started out as an angel, she found that she was always compared to her older sister, Adonia, although they got on well…deep down she hated her sister; filled with envy and spite. She tried so hard to keep up with Adonia, just once she wanted to be one step infront…but she never was. Adonia was always ahead, always outshining her. Zuriel felt Adonia was doing it on purpose, her sister was arrogant and boastful and this drove Zuriel mad. She felt so much hatred that one day she realized…she was not an angel by nature, she would not have such wicked thoughts and feelings going on inside if she was pure…she was not a warrior of God. She went to hell and joined the dark forces, she gained a lot of attention there and was soon top dog, in hell she felt she got the recognition she deserved. She sometimes thought of her sister, she mostly thought bad thoughts though. Zuriel has come to be a strong hater of angels and all things holy. Zuriel was sent to Heedwic with many other demons, her mission was to destroy the city and any angels that got in the way and then once the city was destroyed she and her army would move onward to take over the world.

kitoko minh.

Name: Kitoko Minh Fowl
Race: hound-elf cross
Gender: female
Age: 719
Appearance: Kitoko is amazingly pale. Her long, slim frame is hidden by floor length black hair when it is down. Sharp, black eyes stare out from a narrow facial structure.
Personality: Kitoko is cynical and quiet. She'll help others, but only if it will help her or one she loves as well. Taking after hounds more than elves, she rarely gives a true smile. Kitoko will randomly get very depressed, at which point she will pretty much sit and not move or talk unless she absolutely has to. At these points, its best to avoid her lest she lashes out and.... hurts you.
Bio: See profile family history, and add that she was thrown out because her mother was an elf that had been seduced by her father. Because of this, Kitoko has lead a very tough life, and does not easily trust others. She tends to wander alone or with Amin, rarely spending more than an hour of her time with only one other.

Name: Amin Fowl
Race: hound-elf cross
Gender: male
Age: 719
Appearance: Amin's long, slim frame seems to glow in moonlight because of his pale skin. His sharp, golden eyes peek out through equally golden hair.
Personality: Amin takes a bit more after elves than his twin, Kitoko. He has a more cheerful disposition, but is still somewhat cynical. He will only kill those who are in a lot of misery, and will help those who are young and full of life.
Bio: See profile family history, and add that he was thrown out because his mother was an elf that had been seduced by his father. Amin has spent a majority of his life trying to get Kitoko to smile, which is a rarity, and trying to find food for them both when Kitoko goes into one of her depressed spells.

MusicIsLyfe104

Name: Toby Thomas
Race: Hound
Gender: male
Age: 704 (looks 14)
Appearance: User Image
Personality: Toby is very sadistic. He works quickly and silently. He is a very quiet, soft-spoken young man, but he is not shy. Toby enjoys the pain of others.
Bio: Although a Hound Toby spent many of his years working on a farm, he worked long hours and got paid very little. His parents were both dead (since he was a hound he outlived his mortal parents) and the man he worked for gave him food and shelter and a little money in return for service. I would wake as soon as the sun peeked the horison and wouldn't get to sleep untill the dead of night. He slept on a pile of hay with the cows and horses. Mr.Vanturen, the man who owned the farm, was the first person he killed when the storm came, he found tht more of his own kind (Hounds) had invaded the city of Heedwic and took this as an oppertunity to get away from the labouring mortal life he had lived for so long. He wanted to learn more about being a Hound and what he was capable of (he had been living and acting as a human for many years) the first of his own that he bumped into was a man called Gray Orithia.
Other information: He looks up to Gray and he wants to be just like him. If the Demons tell him to do something, he asks Gray if he should do it or not. He follows Gray like a dog. He met Gray when he ran away from the farm after he had killed Mr.Vanturen. He looks up to him because he has no fear of the Demons and doesnt care what they say about him.

Name:Izanami
Race: Demon
Gender: female
Age: 12007
Appearance:User Image
Personality: Izanami is a stuck-up teenager since her parents gave her everything she ever wanted. But having everything also made her stubborn. She has to have everything her way (she always has tp be right) whether it's possible or not. Her favorite past time is teasing the humans with her beauty (only because human males are mesmerized by her beauty). Flirting is another thing she loves to due during her spare time and while she's at work. Izanami becomes happy when she sees anyone suffer. To make people suffer more she toys with their minds and make them see things that aren't there. Her power is the gift of making people see things. Her weaknesses are sunlight, silver, holy water and crucifix. The only way to defeat her teasing is by acting irressistible. This makes her angry because she knows that she can't have you. If you tease her back it also makes her angry. She has a bad temper, so making her angry makes her furious.
Bio: When Izanami reached the age of 12005 her father made her get a job and move away from home. She was the eldest of 4 children (she had 2 brothers and 1 sister). She got a job traveling to Earth (at the city of Heedwic) and whispering evil deeds into the innocent ears of humans. To have more fun at work she would allow certain humans to see her demon form (wings and all). And then she would toy with their mind so they would think they were going crazy so that she wouldn't get fired from her job. After a couple years she developed a crush on a human, but underaged demons weren't allowed to marry let alone humans. So at night she would slip away to see him. When Izanami turned 12007 darkness fell over the city of Heedwic and a portal opened in hell that allowed her to travel between worlds at any time. Since there was no sunlight to harm her she moved to the graveyard of Heedwic.

Sat on a seat staring up at the main alter he sighed, it would seem that the mortals of Heedwic no longer had that lively buzz anymore. There was little electric in the air...the static of fear had seemed to fizzle into a low and heavy groan of acceptance, having dealt with more death to last a dozen life times he thought himself an expert on such matters, and his senses told him that the citizens of Heedwic had given up...They all sat waiting to die, he was sure of it.

'How dull' he thought to himself as his eyes traveled up the huge colored window, blocks of different colored glass had been assembled to resemble the cross with a skinny dead man hanging from it, their savior...Jesus Christ. He gave snort, so much faith in a skeletal man that was defeated with a few nails and a tree. He imagined how the patterns of the stained glass would look when the sun shone through...he imagined it to be a pleasant sight. Although a creature of hell, he still had an appreciation for art. He let his head fall back against the cold wood at the back of him and he closed his eyes, he was certain no one would bother him. The main hall of the church was often empty, maybe the odd corpse hanging around that had been most likely strung up by his own kind; but that was it really.

With a large gasp Virgil stumbled over, his face smashing against the cold hard dirt of the graveyard. His sword slipped from his fingers for only seconds, he swiped it up as he rolled onto his back. Bringing the point of the blade upward he impaled a large man, he seemed to be human but when observing the being closer it would appear this thing was in fact a zombie...the body of a mortal taken over by some nasty pest demon. The large balding corpse screeched an inhuman sound and he fell, Virgil did not take a moment to watch the body hit the ground for he was already up on his feet busy beheading the re animated corpse of an elderly woman. His eyes followed her unattached head as it rolled off to the left stopping as it hit a gravestone. The only sound now was the whistle of the wind; satisfied he had done as much as he could here he left the graveyard. The mortal monks would probably re bury the bodies in due time. Virgil put his sword away and began walking the long lonely streets of Heedwic, the very sight of the place saddened him deeply. The bodies of all types of mortals scattered the streets, laced into the rubble of fallen buildings. Surely more Angels would be sent to help out, this was one of the worst cases he had ever seen and there simply wasn't enough help.
Virgil came to a stop as he came to grass that surrounded the church, he shook his head...that place had been so holy and now it was where those idiot demons would ridicule God and his mortal followers. He sat at the edge of the grass bringing his palms together, he began to pray for the souls that were in danger of being dragged down into hell and he asked for the strength to carry on in this place of horror. He could feel the harsh winds come across his back knocking him forward so that he hunched over, his eyes shut tight as he prayed as hard as he could.

The blank page had really started to taunt her, writers block; she dropped her papers that had yet to be written on and got to her feet. The rest of her family where sleeping, she could hear the faint snorting snores of her cousin from the other room. Tonight she was restless and full of energy, she thought writing would get rid of the energy she had bubbling up inside but it just didn’t. She was not in a writing mood tonight. She circled the little living room with a skip, she ran her hands along the wooden cabinets…she wished she was tired.
Thoughts of the outside world gathered in her head, she wondered what it was like out there now. Had it gotten worse? What if everything was okay now? Curiosity began to well up inside, the questions really started to bug her.
I should be out there helping!
Curiosity was getting the better of her and before she knew it she had many reasons that would justify her going out there.
I could be helping people,
I could gather supplies for the family,
What if everything is okay now and we have trapped ourselves down here for no reason…I should find out!

In a frantic rush she had flung a brown hooded cape over her, carrying her sword by her side. She carried a little brown bag; in it was writing material, bread and a flask of water. She crept out, being ever so careful not to wake any member of her family. She climbed up the dark spiralling stairs until she stood inside the hollow tree, she pushed the secret door open slowly and saw that everything was just quiet, it seemed perfectly fine from where she stood. She could feel her little heart banging against her chest as though it wanted to break through her rib cage. Taking a few steps forward she felt the jab of the cold night air against her warm cheeks. Her eyes wandered the park, there was nothing. The trees were bare and the park was very silent, too silent some would say. Rudolph walked through the park, it was a joy to see a place she had missed for so long but it was a little uncomfortable to see that many good things about the park had changed.
A little water she thought we could get this park how it once was with a little effort she smiled it’s not the end of the world.

“I want you to head up to the castle, it’s far and I suspect no one has bothered up there yet so you might have a lot of demons to face…keep your eyes peeled for anything odd” her voice bold and strong, completely the opposite of how she was feeling right now “You will clear the area of anything dangerous rescuing civilians and bringing them back to the heart of the city, report back to me once the area is cleared and we can investigate that area with much more depth” with that she turned from her men and gave a great sigh, she knew there was a potential danger of them not returning to her since she did not know of the situation up at the castle, but what else could she do? There certainly wasn’t enough back up in Heedwic, she expected that soon more angels would have to be sent since things weren’t looking up. She the group of angels she had sent of start walking away from her, with a small shrug she walked in the opposite direction, her eyes fixed on the cross that stood proudly on the very tip of the Heedwic Church. She walked along the broken streets, her eyes still on the church, where was her God?
If she listened carefully she could hear the sobs of broken mortals through the howling winds that surrounded her…the hounds taunting her perhaps. Her eyes fell from the cross to see what looked like a man curled up on the lawn of the church, as she looked closer she saw that he was in fact an angel.
She stormed over, her head held high and then she spoke.
“You are a warrior of God!” she snapped “Now get up and be part of the cause instead of sitting around sobbing like a weak…like a weak mortal!” She towered over him, her hands now on her hips.

Kitoko leaned against a tree in the park, gazing at the ground. She was in one of her depressed modes, so Amin was off searching for food. Amin.... would he be ok? There were so many other hounds, demons, elves and angels around, they could easily decide to hurt him. He, of all people, didnt deserve it. She, Kitoko, on the other hand... Ah, well, Kitoko thought, sliding down the tree into a seated position. I'll have to die eventually. Everyone does.

{I'll post Amin in a bit.}

Izanami sat on top of a gravestone. SHe lived in the graveyard since forever it seemed. Izanami took a look around the graveyard. There were many tombstones around since darkness fell on Heedwic. Hounds and other demons were around tormenting the humans into an early grave. Izanami was bored. The humans never came around the graveyard anymore since she made them hallucinate when they walked in. "I wish there was something to do around her," she said as she got up froom the tombstone.

He had been praying so hard that his surroundings had disappeared and all that there was were his soul and what he imagined to be a long brilliant white string of light connecting him to his God.

Her voice knocked him from his concentration, his body jolted and he look up from where he knelt to see who he recognised as Adonia...one of the big shot Angels, one of the leaders. Technically she was above him and could order him to do what ever she pleased but in his own mind she was too young to be ordering him around..a highly respected former guardian angel.

"I was praying" he answered as he rose to his feet "Prayer being the strongest force there is I wouldn't say I wasn't part of...the cause" he watched her thin but yet strong frame as she stood unmoved by his words nor the strong winds "Mortals are not weak Adonia" his voice softened "To live as a mortal...with all of those feelings, all of that confusion and then to be struck by this storm...they are going through alot, the good mortas are to be respected" he said wisely.

"Ah, but shouldnt everyone be respected who does any sort of good, or thinks they do good?" a quiet voice chided. It was Amin. He strolled over toward the two angels. "What you are doing is good, trying to rid this place of hounds and demons, I suppose," his soft voice continued. "But does it not harm someone? And is everyone who asks not granted grace by God?" He chuckled, smiling slightly. "I was born a hound-elf cross, does that make me evil? Did I chose to be a hound?" Amin cocked his head. "I did not choose my parents, nor did my sister. This is how we were born, and we must be happy this way, or not at all. I cannot change the past, so I only devour those who want to be put out of their misery." Amin's stomach grumbled audibly, and he laughed softly. "See? I stick to my word." He stood, his head cocked, golden eyes laughing while long, slim fingers played with a long, golden braid.

"To devour the soul of ANY mortal without our Lord Gods say is evil and the works of Satan" Adonia answered the stranger, she pulled her sword out holding it by her side "Choose your words carefully...halfling, do you work with us or against us?" in Adonias mind it was as simple as that, there was no room for any gray areas in her opinion. She turned to the angel giving him a very unamused look "Are you to just stand there? Are you to just keep...praying...or are you going to help me with this, well what ever it is" she said cruelly as she turned to face the stranger once more.
