Slinking through the night blood was still dripping from her maw, breath ragged and raspy, her voice did not touch the chilled air from the breeze that drew across no-lion's-land. Black claws sifted into the earth she crouched down, peered at some isolated prey beasts not far off. She had already killed for the night, fed herself well, but oh the blood, how it called to her. She grinned so wicked she could seem as a demon from pridal stories of ne that came in the night to steal away cubs who did not obey their parents.
If onl she could really be that one, steal away cubs, find the weak ones, dispose of them, keep the strong ones alive and train them to be just as unmerciful as herself. For what she had experienced through her life, she didn't lose, she always won, no matter what the consequence.
This was the area, she remembered. She could never forget actually, how she saw herself in the night and nearly lost her life for it. Dreams, dreams had brought images of one just as herself but in two different colors, silver and red, blood red, both had suffered the same fate as she, and now, now it seemed Karndess wanted to seek out the other side of herself, and bring about a new idea and desire. Flicking her tail as she slinked through the night, away from Jack and the Big Evil, Karndess stopped, sniffed the air.
Blood, lots of it. Stopping she crouched down, waited, some movement from a couple zebra nearby, this was the place, had to be, adn the scent of blood was thick just like it had been that night. She only wondered if this was a good idea, if it would work.
She could feel her heart beating in her chest as if it was a war drum. She grinned, snarled lowly and slowly began to move forward in silence, grass blades giving way to her weight, adn she then tore off towards them, claws extended, in silence she was sly, sleak, beautiful though her obsessions were far from moral. Jetting herself forward her weigh collided against the side of the younger of the zebra, ending it crashing to the earth.
Calling, calling for help it whined and kicked though quick work of the muscles and veins in the neck soon silenced the small beast as the other companions ran away blind in the dark. Blind with fear.
Blood again, thick, clamoring hooves upon the earth and then silence cut by fangs to flesh. Standing herself up Karndess took a breath, normally she wasn't nervous, normally she was all for the fight, the blood, but this, this was different Unstable this lioness had been last time, seemingly caught by strange obsession.
She could hear the crunching and tearing as she got closer, stopped, and saw the striped pelt that was very much like her own, and she stood strong, but in a manner that was not threatening, "I see things have not changed much since I have been here last."
A voice, a voice of not one in her head but of someone here, here, how dare they. A snarl and almost a roar erupted from her throat as she pushed herself to stand, blood dripping from her jaw as she dropped crackled bones and flesh from her fangs. Her tail thrashed as she took a step clsoer to the figure that she remembered so well, she had thought one of the voices in her head had come about in a true form, but no, this was Karndess.
"How dare you venture here? I told you this was Rellik's place, mine alone, my blood and flesh to consume, what do you want here to tempt your fate in such a way where your life could easily be lost?"
"I speak honestly when I say I've come and I mean no harm..." Karndess said taking another step, not intimidated by the dead body of a prey beast to the right of her. In truth, Karndess had come across a fair amount of corpses that vultures fed off of around here, all left from Rellik she presumed. "I do not bring harm here, but another way, a way in which you can still pursue your wn desires but be a part of something more..."
She stopped, waited, ears swiveling forward, a smirk across her maw as she flicked her tail, "I offer, a compromise, in a manner, but it would benefit you..."
Compromise? "Compromise, ha! What compromise is there to offer me in exchange for letting you breath? But something that may benefit me and my tastes, I will listen, but talk quickly, the blood, it can spoil, it needs to stay fresh," she said with a sadistic grin, running a paw over the preybeast letting it be covered in crimson that resembled her pelt. Crimson, and silver eyes, silver like hers but on another body.
Oh, she'd find her, then things would finally be settled. "Speak fast Karndess, for the darkness here can really be a killer, if you get my drift."
Karndess almost took a step back, but kept her ground, watched Rellik with a set gaze, eyes not moving, crimson meeting silver, silver eyes, yes, like the eyes she herself searched for as well, a key in both their pasts bringing them together now. "I offer you a group in which you can travel, a safe group, I am there, as well as another named Jack, a female, young but intelligent, and another who calls himself the Big Evil, he's like a monster Rellik, he can fend for himself..."
She flicked her tail, watched, continued, "We all have something in common Rellik, we have all killed, and need to survive, and in this world, you know there are dangers, so join us, be part of our group, keep us strong."
Others? She snarled to herself, let her paws seep with the blood into the earth, and her silver eyes flickered in the light of the moon of the dark night. Others? Though others who have killed, know the meaning of honor, pride, spilt blood, true survival, yes, perhaps this would be benefitial indeed. "Perhaps, though I must meet these others, I wil stay there, with them, as long as you do, if you leave, I leave, and I cannot promise when I leave that I would not leave dead bodies as well."
She grinned, yes, bodies of other killers as herself, doing a favor to the world? No, just striking up a desire in herself, oh yes, hell hath no fury like a killer.
Karndess gave a grin, the plan was coming together. She had given Big Evil and Jack a head's up if her plan worked, so that they could expand, after all, things were better in larger numbers, and a lot less of others would try to attack or try to steal meals from a fairly large group, and a groups of killers. Oh, how the tables have turned on the earth now.
She turned, though kept her eyes on Rellik the whole time, "Come then, I'll show you to them, I told them about you, so they are prepared, and Big Evil, he's interested in your 'talents."
Rellik nodded and moved next to Karndess, not caring of the fresh blood that was on her pelt, jaw and paws, no, she didn't care, she wore it with pride, it showed that she was strong and did not give up, that she was strength in its true form, that nothing could stand in her way, nothing at all. And now, now, this opportunity brought about new dieas, desires, oh yes, she shuddered with desire.
These others wouldn't be ready to meet her yet, though, the world was not ready for such a killer anyway.
Oh, how the tables had turned.
Karndess smiled to herself, and walked side by side with Rellik. Oh how everything was coming together, no one else would have a chance against them, even moreso, if others joined them, their group that would be the ultimate survivors, oh yes. Wide awake she scanned around with crimson hues in the night, only a little while until they would be back and would be on the move again to find another shelter where Riddick could shield his eyes.
Now everything would be different, but for the better, though in all due honesty, who would dare attack an assassin, a killer innocent, a murder, and a killer? Really....really.
