It seems some people would give anything to commission some artists. I've seen some auctions go for millions eek
What's the most you've ever spent/traded for avi art you just couldn't live without?
I've got one artist commissioned right now trading a 1st gen. Biancamella for 2 pieces of CG art. The examples she has posted are gorgeous... really hoping it's worth it ><

I never payed for avi art!! I've only traded sometime for good stuff, sometimes for bad. The most i've been payed is 75k for 5 pictures.

did you see that one gaian in the GCD with the art scam? That was kinda halarious, poor gaian. She paid like 50k for a art that my 2 year old cousin could do.

That sucks, but its' kinda funny XD What did she do, pay for the art in full before it was drawn and hope for the best?
I never confirm trades until I see a preview copy of the art. If it looked nothing like the samples they had posted, I would never approve the trade D:
@Calisto: I lack art skills and a scanner, so I don't think art trade would work for me. I envy those who can though D;

 If L's a genius...If L's a freak...She was in towns and a chick said she was selling avi art. When asked for samples, the chick said that she had done some GCD'ers art. I forget who, but I do remember checking the user after reading the thread and being like "Oh. THAT art eye candy." xD
Anyways, the girl says wow, that's awesome, asks for price.
Chick says 50k, girl sends trade, trade is completed, five days later she's sent a stick figure.
I laughed when I first read it. Not because of the story, but the stick figure was just so horrible xD
Thing is, I can relate to an artist that'd want to complete all trading before giving out the art.
But, to not even see other samples.
Though, the chick probably would've faked those too xP
Anyways (again), I'd do an art trade.
I'd probably draw a full body with background and the like for a
CG head shot or something seeing as mine are usually in black and white xD
Gold wise, depends on the art. There's some art that I'd be willing
to pay 50k or so on, but no more.

I've only ever commissioned people with shops and most of them sent a water-marked copy to me first for approval and then we completed the trade. I can see how artists would be paranoid though.
Depending on the art and if I have the gold/items, I don't really have a set price limit I'm willing to pay. The head-shot in my sig was a 50K bribe and I just love the way it came out ><

BlueAltitude I really want avi art done but i dont know where to go =/ Fair warning: Avi art gets addictive xd Having said that, Calisto's art is really cute ^^ It's a good place to start your collection 3nodding The Mini Shops sub-forum: Requests and Commissions is full of art shops. You have your pick of all different styles of art and price ranges. Unfortunately, many of them are first come, first serve, so you have to subscribe to the topic and wait for spaces to be open...

Tell me what tyoe you want chibi, style chibi, normal. And i'll give you a price. But i'm gonna start giving guild member a 10% discount i think. So a style chibi is normaly 10k for you only 9k.

i ended up bribing the person who did the art in my sig it's actually walpaper size it's my background on my profile . . . ran me 40k or so in items . . . i've got another coming from her for a masterpieces . . . then when i rebuild my gold i'm going to get a couples full body vector plus back ground . . . probly 50k-70k . . . to me it's cheap for the uniqueness and quality . . . i've also got a good one from calisto as well . . . and one from bloody joker that had a much more dark mood to it . . . i'm way to addicted to arts . . . i'm not so worried about gold problems . . . i tend to regain it fairly quick . . . never really know why though . . .
