My newest song, Rocking and Raving, has caught the eye of an Australian dance teacher in Australia. She is wanting to use that song, and maybe another, for an upcomming dance competition.
This is really exciting considering nobody has bought any of my music yet.
She was asking about my prices and I came up with 95 cents since I personally hate paying too much just for a song.
She said although they are extremely cheap, there's going to be sponsors there who would also probally be wanting to pay me and asked me again about my prices.
I told her as much as I would love to take advantage over the sponsors, I wouldn't charge no more than $5.
Apparently, there's going to be some major sponsors there. Im really excited. Im getting some recognition in the most unexpected place. EDIT: Mdawlin - Thanks! I owe you if this works out.

Lol. I should try that. Ok i checked out some copyright stuff. CDs should really come with a license agreement or something because it's confusing as all hell. And it differs heaps between countries, so i mostly found stuff for Australian copyright, which i guess may still be relevant since you're selling your music to an Australian. http://www.copyright.org.au/information/specialinterest/music.htmThe US equivalent would probably be http://www.copyright.gov/title17/Further more, you should probably read up about Garage bands license agreement. I was wondering myself whether you could make commercial music with GarageBand, and i guess you can. I did a quick scan and found this. The GarageBand software license agreement says: "GarageBand Software. You may use the Apple and third party audio loop content (Audio Content), contained in or otherwise included with the Apple Software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original music compositions or audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own music compositions or audio projects that were created using the Audio Content, however, individual audio loops may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound effects or music beds." Hmmm. As far as cheap copyright goes, i don't think there is such a thing. Someone please prove me wrong. That's probably all i can get without hours of research. Hope it helps.

well i like to mess with people and make them think i'm a chick on the internet, mainly because one day i will be a woman, on the net i can let that side unravel, i could do crossdressing but its not what i'm into, i could act gay but its not how i am either, so to help vent out the feminine side of things i go on the internet, and i love to be a b***h to people acting like pricks. I find it funny when people get confused about my gender.
