Koorie lay on a rock in the middle of a meadow. The sun was bright out and it warmed her fur. She felt slightly nervous, thinking back to the evening of the Valentine's party. She remembered what had taken place with Ignaas and herself afterwards; her guilt had gotten the best of her in the end and she'd agreed to meet with him on a 'date' of some sorts. Now she lay on a flat rock on the middle of grass and flowers in the afternoon, waiting to see if she was going to be stood up, or if Ignaas would truly remember and show up. Part of her hoped she wouldn't regret the choice she'd made.

What a wild ride life had been for Ignaas as of late.
The cheerful burning prince was on his way to what one could call a 'blind date'. During his rather... Embarrassing.. And completely agonizing event the other day, he had revealed his true and pure feelings to the ice princess. She, being as stubborn as she had always been and was, had tried to dismiss his words and ignore him. However, he had gotten through to her, and now they were meeting up for a date, or at least a small get together.
While this was all very exciting for the prince, he was also very nervous, his flaming legs quivering with each and every step he took. To be quite honest and rather bleak, he had NEVER been this all worked up over a female before. So, he had no clue what to do, nor how to go about things. Naturally, things were bound to go wrong, in some way or another.
That's what tended to happen when ice and fire mixed and mingled.

On overwhelming need to clean suddenly came over Koorie and she began to clean her fur coat. Despite the warmth of being in the sun, she was still quite cool and her wings made of ice still had yet to melt.
Part of her wondered if maybe she was ready, if she had yet to move on from Toshi. Ignaas probably would never know of her past love, but Toshi was the reason she was so cold. She was the typical case of having been loved then left, but she'd suffered from betrayal as well, and refused to let anyone else in.
Laying down on the rock, her tail curled around her to twitch; it was time for her to at least make an attempt to move on...

Now, one thing Ignaas knew how to due, regardless of whether he was nervous or not, was be a gentleman. He had been after females for quite some time now, and while it had never gotten old and he had always loved every single second of it, he knew just what made females melt and want to snuggle up into his burning fur. Of course, the female he was after this time was the opposite... But that made no difference to Ignaas.
Smiling, the joyful prince bounded over to a small thicket of rose bushes, this being his personal stash for such special occasions. It was filled of all the colors of the rainbow, there being a rose for each. Taking this situation into very careful consideration, Ignaas finally decided on rose to his beloved. Picking it carefully, he did a complete 180 and bounded to where he was destined to meet the cold brat, his flaming wings flapping on either side of him.

Lifting her head, she caught the sparkle of something golden in the corner of her eyes and turned her head to look off to her left side. She could see through the few trees that Ignaas was making his way towards her.
Unfortunately for her, instead of the nervousness and uneasiness inside of her subsiding like she'd hoped, she suddenly felt it double. Why was she getting like this?! Mentally she slapped herself, trying to get her emotions and thoughts in check. She gave Ignaas a calm smile as he approached her, not really sure what to do on this 'date'.

Ignaas, being the gentleman that he kept playing over and over in his head, smiled and bowed, keeping the rose in his mouth, also trying to look a bit more suave. "Good day, Koorie. How are you doing?" He made sure to smile and keep at least a decent posture. The rose he had picked shined a gorgeous red, it matching the color of Koorie's eyes, standing out just slightly against Ignaas' orange coat.
He slowly worked his way on over to her, placing one paw in front of the other, making himself strut and show his stuff off. His flaming wings gently flapped a bit behind him and his tail rose off the ground just high enough to where it didn't drag. He had to look good, for he was impressing one of the most bitchy females he had ever met... And damn was she one of the most gorgeous too.

The female swallowed her nervousness down as he got closer, and Koorie couldn't help but smirk a little at the complete cockiness that Ignaas stepped with. She could tell that he was nervous though, it was in his eyes, and it helped to ease her a bit; she wasn't the only one who was scared about this.
She got up and stretched as he came within a few yards of her and used her paw to flick a loose strand of hair from her face. "Ignaas..." She spoke softly, doing her best to keep the ice from her voice. "You look well."

Koorie's suspicions were right on the nose. The flaming prince was indeed extremely nervous. He felt as if he had not butterflies in his stomach... But more of caterpillars. He felt queasy, uneasy, and afraid. At the same time though, he was excited to the very brim of his crown. Sure, he had been excited about many females in his past. However, Koorie was different. There was just something about her.. Something that... That made Ignaas feel like this was right.
Watching the lovely, ice blue princess get up and stretch made Ignaas want to strut and show off even more. He watched her as she moved a strand of her hair away from her face, looking as lovely as ever. "As do you, Koorie." He stopped a short distance from her, offering her the space he was almost used to her yelling at him about. He set the rose down and pushed it forward with his paw, offering it to her. "For you... Koorie."
He just loved to speak her name.

The fact that Ignaas had stoped with such a gap between them surprised Korie to no end; she'd been expecting and bracing herself for some sort of embrace by him, or some sort of flirtatious touching. The fact that he was thinking so much about her and giving her the respect of this distance made her smile a little, and the rose was certainly an added touch.
She was peculiar, she hated flowers, especially receiving them, because they always whithered and died, but for some strange reason, she couldn't bring herself to feel that way about the single rose that'd been pushed toward her. Perhaps it wasn't the flowers she'd hated, but rather the intentions the givers had always had. Carefully, she picked the rose up with her tail and tucked it in between her crown and ears. "Thank you.... It's beautiful."

Ignaas smiled and nodded. "A beautiful rose for a beautiful minya. Of course." He couldn't help but to chuckle some, as that line was so cheesy and used all the time. He had even used it a time or two before, but only this one had true feelings set behind it. Still, he hoped that she didn't think less of him for it.
"Umm.. Would you like to maybe take a walk or something? Talk a bit? Maybe grab some fruit along the way?" There was no real time for small talk, so he just blurted it all out in a few sentences. He wanted to get going, and spend as much time with the ice brat as he could, before the sun went down and she would force him away.

Koorie raised an eyebrow at the cheesey line, having mixed feelings about it; she'd heard that same line so many times from other males, but for some reason it just sounded different coming from Ignaas.
"I think a walk would be nice...." She watched him with those red eyes of hers, her ice wings glittering in the sunlight as she closed the gap between them to walk beside him.

He could tell that Koorie seemed to have some rather mixed feelings about the way he had spoken to her. After all, a cheesy line such as that one didn't really deserve much respect. Still though, he had to pull this off. This was his ONE chance to impress Koorie, and he had to make sure he did it right.
Noticing the gap that he had left open for her suddenly closed now, he smiled, his icy eyes looking into her fiery ones. They were so beautiful... And the sun shining right through her icicle wings only made them glow even more vividly. As the two of them walked, he tried to think of something to say, but his mind kept coming up blank. He wasn't really sure where they were even going! He had to keep his cool though. He had to remain... Suave.

Koorie waited a while for him to speak, walking smoothly next to the male. She could feel the heat against her, and while it felt nice, she'd had never said that out loud. After a few more moments of silence, she took it into her own initiative to come up with something to ask him.
"So why is it that, after everything I've done to you, you still insist on chasing after me...?" They had come a long way from when they'd first met. Oh what fond memories those were, when she bit and scratched at him and hated him with every fiber of her being. Now, somehow, the word 'hate' seemed far too strong for how she felt about him.

Pricking his ears in her general direction, all Ignaas could really do in response to her question... Was shrug. He didn't know what to say, how to say it, or when to say it. It obviously needed to be said though.. What ever.. It was.
"To be honest.. I don't know. I mean.." He stopped for a second, sidestepping in front of Koorie, to where his eyes met up with hers as he looked down upon her. "Koorie... I don't know how else to put this.. I really, really don't. So, don't bite me or slap me for it, alright?" He took a deep breath, closing his eyes. He counted quietly in his head, and then opened them. "You are the most beautiful and intriguing creature I have ever laid my eyes upon. Yes... You have pushed me away.. You have kicked, bit, slapped, stabbed, and many other things that I can't remember right now to me. You know what though... Regardless of how you may feel for me, my feelings for you will not change." He took another deep breath, smiled gently, and leaned a little close in to her face, keeping his icy eyes locked onto her fiery ones. "I love you, Koorie..... And that is a feeling a simply cannot hide."
He knew he was risking himself right now. He knew that there was every chance in the world that Koorie would just sock it to him straight up. He didn't care though. It would all be worth it in the end... He hoped.

Koorie stopped in her tracks when Ignaas had stepped in front of her, locking her eyes with his. She listened carefully to his words and read his eyes and body language as he poured his heart out to her, looking for any reason to not believe this male's heartfelt reasoning. As he continued with his explaination, her heart began to beat faster and her breath caught in her throat. As his face came closer to hers, she couldn't move even if she had wanted to, and as those final words came out, she gave a soft sigh and looked away.
"Ignaas.... that's all very flattering, but I... don't know if there are words I'm supposed to say after something like that for you to understand what is going through my mind....." Closing her eyes, she leaned forward and closed the gap between them, giving his cheek a very gentle nuzzle with her forehead. She wanted to let him in, wanted to open up, but she was scared of him turning to be another Toshi. "I don't understand why or how you've become 'in love' with me... but... I would like to give you a chance...." She wasn't going to tell him how hard it would be for him to change her mind, and it probably wasn't going to happen very quickly, but she wanted to see why she couldn't say no to this male when she'd had no problems countless times before.
