You should note that PWI is a kayfabe magazine. Therefore, the PWI Top 500 ((or in this case 50)) isn't decided on how talented a wrestler is, but is decided on win/loss records - big names that they have beaten - championship reigns - recognition and much more.
Batista is at number one because he beat Triple H a consecutive four times, and is the current World Heavyweight Champion. We all knw Batista isn't the greatest worker, but in kayfabe terms, he is quite possibly the wrestler with the most amount of steam this side of Samoa Joe.

I'll help out with it, if you wanna do that. Heck, I can even make a "current top wrestlers" sticky for the guild if you all want to keep an up-to-date ranking system of 'em.
