Background/Story So you know what's happening
"In Norse mythology the valkyries, which comes from the Old Norse word 'Valkyrja', literally, "Choosers of the Slain", are minor female deities, who served Odin. The valkyries' purpose was to choose the most heroic of those who had died and to carry them off to Valhalla. This was necessary because Odin needed warriors to fight at his side at the preordained battle at the end of the world, Ragnarök." Peter said, answering his teacher's question. It was certainly better than Dusty's answer of "Those chicks who rode horses on the battle field, and killed people." Especially since the book had specifically said that Valkyries rode wolves and not horses.
"That's right, Peter. I'm glad to see somebody did the assigned reading." Ms. Garcia said. She was the best English teacher Peter ever had. It was his senior year of highschool, and he was on his way to being valedictorian, and if Dusty and his dumb friends shoved him around every now and again, bruises healed, and he'd be rid of them in a few months. So, really, he was enjoying himself, more than he ever had before.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and in walked the most beautiful girl Peter had ever seen. She was tall, blonde and cute. "This is Ms. Garcia's Class?" She asked. Ms. Garcia nodded, and a look of relief swept over the girl's face. "My name is Valerie Monson. My parents just moved here last week."
"Take a seat at any open desk, Valerie," Said Ms. Garcia, and in that instant Peter knew what would happen. She'd take the seat beside Dusty in the back row, and he'd never get near her. However, to his surprise, she took the seat directly behind his.
Okay, so the Story is like this, Valerie and her four sisters: Helena, Meredith, Penelope, and Seraphina, are all Valkyries. Their parents, Oscar and Faith, are really Odin and Freyja. Each of the Valkyrie sisters has to search out a brave soul, and take it back to Odin. But, What happens when Valerie falls in love with Peter, the guy she's supposed to kill?

Rules So you know what to do
1. [Be Kind.] No trolling, flaming, or godmodding. 2. [Be Creative.] No Mary-Sues or Marty-Stus. Posts should contain something to work with. I don't care if it's long, it just has to add to the RP. 3. [Be Smart.] Follow the ToS. 4. [Be Clean.] PG13, kiddies. Romance and light swearing is fine (romance is encouraged), but cybering and cussing like a sailor is not. 5. [Be Aware.] I am the GM. When you send your profile, put a pirate centered at the bottom, so I know you read the rules. This means I can add and alter rules as needed. Also, be aware that if you don't post for a week, I will PM you. If you don't respond within five days, I will take your character away. (Of course, if you tell me you're going to be away, we can work something out. This only applies to people who vanish without a trace.)

Accepted Profiles So you know who's who Valkyries:TeHsChNoZbErRy Wanna See My Picture?: My Nametag Says: Valerie I'm This Many: 17 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: girl. My Psychatrist Says: I'm Silent Bob! I won't talk to anyone. I'm a nice girl, I don't like to make people worry. If not making them worry means opening my yap, they'll just have to worry. I don't like being a Valkjyrja, because it means I have to interact... kill... but if someone makes me mad I won't hold back on beating them up. But now I'm sort of undergoing a personality change, I'm trying to be more talkative, and I'm doing well. I said two sentences to the teacher! Two! That doesn't seem like much to you, but its a lot to me. My Story Goes Like This: I've always sat in the corner, reading a book. For a long time I was teased for that, until I got fed up and beat up the main taunter. The teacher talked to my parents about that, but they just chuckled and smiled. I got good grades a lot, if anything they were perfect! I didn't really get close to anyone, because I knew I'd probably have to kill one of them. But the past few years have been easier, I've been more talkative and quicker in getting souls. On the Other Side of the Screen: TeHsChNoZbErRy - symphonic disaster - Wanna See My Picture?: My Nametag Says: Helena I'm This Many: 16 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: female My Psychatrist Says: Confident and occasionally a bit of a smart a**. She has an artistic side that she rarely reveals and keeps a notebook with doodles along with her at all times. My Story Goes Like This: Elementary school was easy as she was basically one of those popular girls that everyone in some shape or form envied. She drifted away from that in junior high when she noticed the 'attitudes' that floated around the school. Despite the fact she is a Valkyrja she has a pretty modernistic view on society but when she started highschool and came to this area she found that cruelty can be a dangerous thing and her duty was a bit harder than she realized. On the Other Side of the Screen: - symphonic disaster - Smorgasmorgan Wanna See My Picture?: My Nametag Says: Seraphina I'm This Many: 13 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: Girl My Psychatrist Says: Friendly and quiet, but confident. She also uses her looks to get what she wants. My Story Goes Like This: She's the youngest Valkyrja, but is already getting quite good at brining souls to her 'father'. She's always been good at getting what she wants, and has, in fact, become used to getting her way. She is something of a 'Daddy's Girl', well, as much of one as a supernatural being can be. On the Other Side of the Screen:Smorgasmorgan Humans:smorgasmorgan Wanna See My Picture?: My Nametag Says: Peter Rollinson I'm This Many: 17 and a half So, If you can't tell, I'm a: guy My Psychatrist Says: Quiet, reserved and smart, but he's devoted to his family, and, as cheesy as it sounds, He's a sucker for old-fashioned chivalry. My Story Goes Like This: He had a pretty normal childhood, however, when he got into high school, he was more bookish than others, and that led to some mild teasing. The worst is Dusty, who used to be his best friend in elementary school. He's pretty bad at talking to people he doesn't know, but for some reason, he feels a strange pull toward Valerie. On the Other Side of the Screen: Smorgasmorgan numbah23 Wanna See My Picture?: I imagine he's more bulky in the arms, though. My Nametag Says: Dusty I'm This Many: 18 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: Guy My Psychatrist Says: I own a tough exterior, and I can wear it pretty well. I'd rather make fun of the class nerd and any other loser I see fit for "bullying". She also says that I'm actually a good kid deep down....Deep, deep down. My Story Goes Like This: I used to be friends with Peter; yeah, so what? He turned into a library going bookworm, and that just wasn't happening for me. I tried out for the good sports, ya know, football, basketball, and even baseball. Did very poorly in every single one of them. So I made a high school career of being the tough guy, not taking any crap from anyone. I made some new friends, and we're a constant reminder to Peter how much fun he's missed out on. On the Other Side of the Screen: Numbah23 numbah23 Wanna See My Picture?: Sarah Deane ((I had to make it a link since it's a little too big.)) My Nametag Says: Sarah Deane I'm This Many: 18 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: Girl My Psychatrist Says: Like I need a psychiatrist, but what she would say is I'm a very down to earth type of person. Nothing is more important to me than graduating. I can come up with a witty remark...after the confrontation. I feel I'm pretty outgoing, until I'm in the presence of Peter, and suddenly I can't do anything. My Story Goes Like This: I've been going to private school since I was five, but because of my desire to be with other, more characteristic people, I required my parents to transfer me to a public school. At first I was very shy, but when I met Peter, I didn't feel so closed up anymore. Well, now there's a rumor saying a new girl has caught his fancy. Well, not so much a rumor as it is an accusation by me. How dare he! How dare she for coming in and taking what should be mine! On the Other Side of the Screen: Numbah23 Reaper DS Wanna See My Picture?: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11110246@N02/1045968423/ My Nametag Says: Cal Blake I'm This Many: 17 So, If you can't tell, I'm a: Guy My Psychatrist Says: Cal is a nice guy but more reserved if he does not know you. To his friends he is the cocky headstrong type of person. He really hates bullys and people that enjoy picking on or hurting other people. My Story Goes Like This: Cal grew up out in the country with his family of seven. He was the youngest of the group just like his dad who also was a seventh son of seven. When Cal turned 17 he got the chance to come live with his eldest brother and attend school in that city. Cal toke up the opportunity and is now going to school for the first time, he is smarter then most from his home schooling but you would never guess that. Right now he is just trying to meet people he has learned that he's quite diffrent from most city people but who cares. On the Other Side of the Screen: Reaper Ds

Peter woke up, and for once, he didn't feel reluctant to get out of bed. He rushed to the shower, and afterwards actually took time deciding what to wear, instead of throwing on whatever his hand landed on first. It was Wednesday, and the sun was shining (Okay, so it was stormy), the birds were singing (actually, they weren't because of the aforementioned storm.), and everything was wonderful (Okay, so it only sucked a little less than normal).
However, Peter's mood was elivated despite of the unpleasant conditions. He had school today. That meant that he'd go to English class. And when he did She would be there. Valerie. Even thinking her name was enough to make him braindead for a while. So, his pop-tarts got a little scorched. No matter. Before he knew it, he was in his car driving to pick up Sarah.
His younger sister, Emma, sat in the back seat. As a fifteen year old sophomore, she was glad she had an older brother so she didn't have to take the bus. Getting to Sarah's house five minutes early, Peter got out of the car, umbrella held high, and walked over to and knocked upon Sarah's door.

BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP! Valerie rolled over, staring at the foreign object. "Hnth?" She sat up, her comforter draping over her head. She wore cute blue silk pajamas with little clouds over them. She picked up the alarm clock, trying to find the button. After switching the button, she looked at the time. If she ever met the person who invented alarm clocks, she was going to push him down a set of stairs. A set of stairs with spikes... and Barry Maniloe music blaring from all the speakers. Whoever he was. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, going through her morning routine. All the movements she made were silent, which seemed to make the things around her blare with noise. She ran a brush through her long blonde hair, then looked in the mirror. Should she leave it down? Put it up? She took a hair band out and pulled her hair into a ponytail. She looked in the mirror and swished her head from side to side. This was good. She gently combed her fingers through her bangs, fluffing them up and laying them down alternatively until she was satisfied. She went back to her room. She quickly changed out of her pajamas and into a cute outfit. A blood red knee length skirt with a ribbon tied around the waist. She put a little white shirt over it, then looked in the mirror. She slipped some sandals on and grabbed her backpack. She stopped in front of the vanity again. She picked up some pink lipgloss, smoothing it over her lips. She looked at her outfit again... No pockets... That sucked. She sighed, but walked out of the house. She didn't like going with her sisters, she preferred enjoying the peaceful morning... punctuated by car beeps. She glared at the culprit, who sped on by, grinning at her.

Sera opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. Her eyes flickered to the blue LED display of her clock. The alarm would go off in ten minutes. She sat up; she wouldn't give it the chance. Besides, Val was probably already up. She flicked the alarm switch on her clock to read 'off', adn turned on some music. System of a Down was excellent to get ready by. She sang along as she first, made her bed, then got dressed. Let's see, fairly new school, the soul I'm after is a girl called Heather Yeates. She's into the punk scene, Ah, She thought as she chose her wardrobe. By the end of the day, if she hadn't brought Heather back to Odin, She'd have at least become her best friend. And that meant she could reel her in tomorrow.
She pulled up the blue, gray and black plaid mini-skirt, fixing it just so, then on went the Sex Pistols tank top and blue hoodie. Last but not least were the blue, black and white Argyle kneesocks and the black, patent leather, platform mary-janes. Her hair got thrown up in two pigtails, secured by blue ribbons, and she did her makeup in the appropriate fashion. There, she should look irresistable to her soul now. But, still, she added one minor detail, a magnetic nose stud.
Finally ready, she had sometime to think before school. She'd been promoted a year, which meant she was a freshman in highschool, with her fourteenth 'birthday' coming up in April. Seriously, why did she have to pretend to be a kid? And really, did they have to make her the youngest this time? Still, this mortal body was prettier than the last, at least. She particularly liked the red hair. she went to the kitchen and fed her body, without tasting the bagel she ate. She was too distracted to be botherewd with such trivial things like food. She grabbed her backpack, a black messenger bag, and sat, waiting for either one of her sisters or the bus. And there was no way she'd wait outside in the rain.

Helena groaned slightly as the alarm clock began to ring again. She absolutely despised mornings and now she was going to have to deal with another petty soul issue with bringing them to the all mighty and powerful. She finally slid out of bed and slipped into a knee length poofy skirt and fishnets. Her top was the preferable black halter that usually made her look thinner than she actually was.
She slipped into her tights while examining the shoes she had a chance to wear. As she picked over them she decided on a pair of converse shoes, her black ones, to wear with the outfit. When she'd finished this she began styling her hair. Cal Blake... wonder what he's like she thought to herself. She was pretty sure that was the soul she had to take this time.
"Sera," Helena yelled with a slightly annoyed tone. "How exactly do you fix your hair to make it look so perfect. I need help. Do you sleep with your hair brush or something?" She was half-panicked to due her obsession with her hair and her overall appearance that having a bad hair day was a major no-no on her agenda list.
Maybe she'd be lucky this year and not actually get picked on some people. She hated school for the most part because it was a prison in a sense, blocking out all creative outlets for her to provide even more support to her parents.... heh... like she'd do that (but she did.)

Sarah sat on the stool in her kitchen, eating her carefully prepared breakfast when she heard the unexpected knock at her door. Well, the knock was expected, but not for another five minutes. This threw her whole day off now.
Ever since she was six, her day was perfectly scheduled. It wasn't until she turned sixteen that she had perfected her perfect schedule:
Five A.M: Wake up. Five o' five: Take a shower. Five thirty: Get dressed, which usually consists of her old school's uniform. They didn't require it back, and she was so used to it already. Five forty five: Cosmetics and hair care. A simple head band, and very light make-up. Six fifteen: Make sure all homework is done and ready to be turned in. Six thirty: Make sure all things prepared for school are by the door and ready to leave. Six thirty five: Make breakfast and eat. Seven fifteen: Peter arrives and they go to school.
This early arrivement has set her schedule forward five minutes. A desaster. Well, if it were anyone else, she'd probably shove their face on the hot stove.
Standing up, she walked to the front door and answered it. She smiled at the boy standing on the other side of the door, wanting him to know that she isn't mad at him.
"Good morning, Peter," she said. "You're a little early."

Sera heard her sister call her name, and, wiping the crumbs off her face, went to Helena's room. She smiled a sardonic smile that looked out of place on her child-like face. "Seriously Helena, you need your little sister to do your hair for you?" Seraphina teased before scooping up Helena's brush. "Okay, I'm short, so you need to sit down. And, no, I don't sleep with my hairbrush. I just become very good friends with it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peter smiled politely back at Sarah. "Good Morning, and sorry. I know I've upset your schedule. Emma and I are willing to wait for you to finish your breakfast," Peter said. Well, he was willing to wait, and Emma had no choice.
Sarah sighed and moved aside to let him in. "You didn't throw me off too much. It's only five minutes." She smiled and walked back to her spot at the kitchen counter where her breakfast awaited to be eaten and digested. Ah, the sad, short life of food. She sat down, and thanked herself for not missing the stool, or falling over once she sat down. She's gotten better at composing herself in the presence of Peter, and she's still improving.
