Should I try and check anything out and "do something"?

Yes, you should. Scare the librarian while you're at it.

Scratillion2 Yes, you should. Scare the librarian while you're at it. We have several librarians. Should I choose one? Oh, and anyone who would like to submit ideas as to what I could do, that would be mighty appreciated.

Don't be picky. Share the love. The more you can scare shitless the better. Give them something to talk to their psychologists about.

How big is this occult section, and what sort of books does it have? >.o As for scarring people, I'd probably find a creepy book to check out, Sex Magick or something, and then I'd find the perfect "normal" book that multiplies the creepy factor, like...I dunno, "Getting To Know Your Librarian". Made it up, but you get the idea.

We have two sections that could be classified as "occult". There's one on magic on the third floor and parapsychology section on the eighth floor. I've explored both of them. I'm sure my record of books I've checked out looks very strange. I've walked up to the checkout counter 3 times now with an armful of books on occult subjects.

Made it up, but you get the idea. It's a collection of about..... one to two hundred books, ranging from such things as parapsychology to spellcasting. So, I think this will be pretty useful. If anyone wants a particular piece of knowledge (regarding witchcraft, sigils, whatever) then post it in here and I'll see if I can dig it up in the library. Otherwise, I want something to do. I've been fairly unadventurous in occult things. I'd like that to change a little. An interesting subject and task would get my gears turning.

Trying that out might present something verifiable, at least to your own senses. That would build confidence and from that confidence you could move on to success in less verifiable things.

Hmm...I wonder what that means...

But thanks, Blind, for your ever-ready knowledge of *****. It doesn't make me question why you're on an anime discussion site geared towards adolescents at all.

I should try and find mine sometime...not that I seem to have the time to do anything at all. I was stupid this quarter and signed up for three rather reading-intensive classes, my lab hours as a class, and a gym class. Needless to say, I'm quite swamped. crying
I wonder if my nerd school even HAS an occult section...

Makes me wonder if some of the more prestigious schools have something of the sort. They have no lack of secret societies and the like.
