... It's been a while. Where should we begin? Spending time with Tikva had been nice; a reminder in itself of all the things he had come to miss about time spent in her sister's company. There had been conversation, laughter and smiles... But something about it wasn't quite the same. No, in a way, it was almost like having a talk with his own sister.
When they parted ways he'd taken to the sky again, wings carrying his body through the air on a warm updraft. Spring was finally coming in from the sea, bringing its warmth inland, making the air a bit more comfortable to travel through. Spring... Had it really been that long since winter?
He kept his eyes on the ground beneath him as he flew across the plains. He wasn't sure if he would see her there, but there was always a chance and he wouldn't miss that chance. If he didn't find her there he would wander into the forest... They said they'd meet again...

She'd wandered back away from her family out to the edges of the forest. Things had been so droll lately and she'd though getting away might make things better. That maybe if she got away she'd run into Acheron again ... he'd said he'd see her again.
Shaking her head slightly she stopped by a patch of raspberries to nibble on the tart fruits. They almost reminded her of the stallion. They were sweet and perfect, but a bit tart at just the right time, and they always brought a smile to her face.

Having seen nothing on the plains he circled the edge of the forest to bring himself lower for a landing. His hooves caught the ground, gallop slowing as he pulled his wings in before rearing to a halt. Crazy, it seemed, how landing could sometimes be just as much of a rush as taking off...

She heard something land rather loudly near where she'd decided to take a break. Turning her head she peered though the few bits of trees that were between her and whatever had made that sound.
Seeing a familiar pair of wings her eyes lit up. "Acheron!"

He had just folded his wings back down against his body when he heard a voice calling his name, much like a soft song. A smile brightened the often shadowed features of his face as he turned his head, dark eyes warming. "Such a warm sight for sore eyes... Hello, my friend."

She trotted over to him and nudged his nose with hers. "Did you get lost where ever you decided to wander off too?" she didn't want to admit it out loud but she'd missed her friend horribly. She loved her family and her sisters but there was something better about spending time with Acheron.

"No, I didn't get lost." He chuckled, brushing his muzzle gently against hers before stepping back so that he could actually see her. "The transition from winter to spring was rough on the weather by the sea... You told me not to strain my wings flying through a storm." He smirked teasingly. "Besides... If I hadn't been home I never would have met your sister."

"You met one of my sisters?" her eyes widened slightly. "Tikva i'd think? I haven't seen her in a while ..." It had been odd when her sibling had up and vanished for a bit.

He nodded slowly. "It's surprising that I hadn't met her sooner, truth be told. She'd said that she spends a good bit of time down by the sea..." He took a step closer to his friend, tilting his head so that he could see her better. "... She made me think of you. The two of you are a good bit alike... And yet so different at the same time."

"well she is my sister." She laughed softly as she thought about Tikva. They did look a lot a like, though she didn't know if they still acted the same. That would depend on how her sister got once she got away from the family.

"Yes, but I don't look all that much like my sisters or brothers... And I don't act like them either." He chuckled softly as he leaned closer once more, touching his nose lightly to her neck.
"I... Missed you." There. He'd said it. Oddly, it didn't seem as hard to say as he would have thought it.

She turned her head so she could rest it against his neck. "I missed you too." She smiled softly as she closed her eyes. It was nice having him around again. She hadn't exactaly been lonely but things just seemed nicer when she knew where he was.

He leaned there comfortably for a moment before he straightened out, pulling back to look at her once more. "... I've told you what's kept me away... What kept you busy?" His brow lofted, eyes light once more.

"Nothing much." She smiled. "I wandered about the forest, spent time with my family .... thought about you." She looked down to the grass, embarased that she'd actually said that.

He leaned down to touch his nose to hers, hoping to bring her gaze back up as he tilted his head. "Is it really that bad? I mean... To think of me, that is? I... Would hope not, really, seeing as though I spent time thinking of you." He paused, lifting his head up with eyes closed."It's like... A light shining into the darkness; thoughts of you in my silent contemplations."
