being a flute i have to use notation alot and I HATE IT
evil its so time consuming, makes the peice look sloppy and the programs to do it take too long.I need some feedback on what you think
Do other people really need to see it?

Transcription and transposition is i big part of jazz. If your doing it freehand or by computer. It may be tedious but it helps you understand the music itself. There's no easy way to do it in my eyes, but the more you do it the better and faster you get.
Lol, some people can write stuff down SUPER fast. You can't really understand it afterwards, but thats not really what matters.
Half the pieces I have written down involve a few chords, a few notes, and the words 'diddle' and 'hold'.
Other times they might include some rhythms that I KNOW I must follow.
I learnt this technique at school in the Jazz Band. So chances are, you should be ok with a few scribble on paper (lots of arrows)
