It had been a while since he had met another, which wasn't really surprising at all. Reikon Taberu had been a loner since young (With the slight exception of a playmate) but then again, it was his preference to stay away from crowds and chatty horses. He wasn't exactly good at making small talk with others, and those who seemed to go on in an endless ramble annoyed him.
The stallion was out again, pawing at the grass with a silver hoof rather absent-mindedly. Why had that white Soquili named Oathkeeper seemed so familiar, when they had both confirmed they had no recollections of having met before? It had been puzzling him for many days, and he stood there, eyes closed as he contemplated.

Nostrils flared as the mare kept a jogging pace, the distance having been long enough to expand her lungs at such a low speed. The step was just light enough to catch a breeze through her hair, keeping her tail safe from her stomping back hooves. A whistling seemed to be heard as the air curved and passed her feathered back, the feathers along her ears tickling every now and then. But it was taken without notice, the femme focused on her daily excercise. Teal eyes strayed to the side for some passing moments, taking in the area around her. Nothing but trees, a nice and calm wooded area. Perfect for some time to think or otherwise enjoy one's space.

The stallion himself liked the forest as well, and usually stayed in there for a few days to think, even though he didn't camouflage well against the dark barks of the trees. His eyes snapped open as his ears pricked up, picking up the sounds of hooves approaching. The first thing that came to mind was to step into the shadows like he usually did, however he was too lost in his thoughts that it was already too late.
He only realized it when she was right behind him, and inclined his head to the side briefly as a greeting.

Hm? Setsumi's eyes strayed forward and more away from the ground to catch sight of another horse in her path. Just shows how much she pays attention, as he was now only a neck's stretch ahead of her. The femme altered her pace into a slow cant. Would this other be territorial? Or would he be chatty?
The soquili found herself hesitant on how to react next. The majority of stallions were known to be aggressive, simply because....well, it was a guy thing. Curving to the side, she decided to continue her morning jogging. As soon as she'd get around the other in a polite distance. Ears perked as the male looked over, and Setsumi was quick to deliver a formal nod of return greeting. Then she picked up her hooves to attempt darting passed.

Aggressive. If Setsumi had voiced her thoughts, Reikon would have raised an eyebrow and snorted. It was ridiculous; he never resorted to violence, unless someone was really in trouble. He didn't meet much stallions, but Oathkeeper seemed to be a pretty amiable one to him.
Or perhaps it was because he had not met those aggressive ones yet.
"Is everything alright?" He murmured quietly, shutting his eyelids again. He wasn't exactly concerned, but he could practically hear her fear in the quickening hoof beats.

"Hmm?" The mare skid on the grass as the other finally opened his lips, her teal eyes turning to him mutely. Everything alright? Setsumi near fidgeted on her tense legs, them urging her to continue while manners urged her to be polite. "N..no. Why?" She was just wary if she was treading on his territory, or now even on the territory of maybe a herd.
"I apologize..." She must be annoying the stranger with her pausings. And here he looked ready to fall asleep.

His chest heaved as he took in a breath, inhaling the air, his eyes still closed. Reikon preferred to think with his eyes closed, in case of something that might catch his eye and distract him. It was true he was not easily distracted, yet he did it often, to ignore others he had no intention of meeting.
"You seemed rather tense." He replied, opening his eyes slowly, a slight hint of curiosity in his blue eyes.

"Well, I'd be lying if I disagreed." She was tense, she always was in front of strangers...especially if it was a crowd. Her hooves backtread on pure instinct, aiming so she was facing him side on. "But...you seem tired. Are you alright?" Had she interrupted a nap?

He nodded, turning to look at her properly. Feathers...that was pretty interesting. "Tired?" He echoed, giving a low chuckle. "No. I was just mulling over some..." Reikon tilted his head slightly to think as he paused. What was that word again? Problem wasn't exactly what he would use to describe it. "Issues."

Setsumi nodded faintly to his repetition. Tired, sleepy, was he either of those? Ears twitched back and forth to an unexpected chuckle, head tilting curiously. "Oh?" Issues? The mare peeked around their area, as if the landscape would hint to what the 'troubles' were. But there were no clues. Teal eyes turned back to the flame-haired stallion. "May I ask what stuns you so, then? Or you'd rather not dip into that topic?"

He fell silent for a while. Of course, he had seen this coming. He himself would have asked others if someone said they had a problem, but wouldn't probe into it if they didn't want to. He didn't answer her question. Instead...
"Have you ever met someone that is so strangely familiar, yet you have no recollection of ever meeting him?"

Well, that was unexpected. Small ears twisted back and forward. "I...can't say I have. I hardly know any other soquili to be honest.." Even without recollection, she wouldn't mind meeting another that had a vague familiarity for her to sense. Eyes blinked as she leaned forward somewhat. "So? Was it a good vibe though? I think that would matter firstly.."

It was, certainly an abrupt question, but quite direct as well. He found it pointless to beat about the bush before coming right to the main point of the topic.
Reikon, on the other hand, found this familiarity somewhat disturbing. There were times when he had wondered if he would meet others that would probe that strange feeling with in him. "I guess...it is, somewhat. It feels like we have crossed paths before. Yet, we both remember we have not."
