Kynan searched his surroundings for a hint of red, white, or yellow. He and Aki had promised to meet up with their parents, along with Liko and Bahi, in the forest clearing. Now that they were grown up, they had begun to spend more time on their own, gradually becoming more independent. But the two still loved their family deeply, and returned often to visit and play with the yearlings, Bahiya and Liko. But, as usual, he was the first one here...By a lot.

"Nany! I missed you!" Bahiya squealed as the young yearling shot across the clearing. The little white and black unisus skidded to a stop, spraying dirt on Kynan's legs as she did. She grinned up at her brother, rubbing her head against his chest but taking great care to keep her newly appeared horn from scratching the stallion.
Behind her, Liko, Via, and Ioni had emerged from the foilage, Via watching her children with pride. "Oh my Kynan, all grown up now?" The cow patterened mare asked as she approached to stand in front of him. She was overjoyed to see her only son again, looking so grown and handsome.

Aki emerged from the trees with a small smile. It still hurt a little to see Kynan, but she was overjoyed to see her family again. "Hello Bahi." She nuzzled her little sister affectionately, tugging gently at the filly's forelock. "Have you been good to Liko?" The little unisus had grown so much... Though her legs were still too long, Bahi seemed to be getting along nicely, already very fast, for sure.

Kynan grinned as a black-and-white streak flew at him. "Great to see you Bahi!" The little filly still seemed more outgoing than her black-and-yellow sister. Giving her a stern look as mud covered his forelegs, he turned to the beautiful young mare entering the clearing. "Aki--" he began. But then he looked back to his mother and father, afraid to say anything to his foster sister.
"Mother, Father!" The young stallion turned and cantered over to the striped pegasus who'd protected him as a foal, nuzzling his unicorn mother with a smile. No reason to worry them...

Bahiya smiled, nodding quickly. "Yep. I'm a nice little sister." She stated, nuzzling her older sister as she returned the tug on the pegasus' forelock. "I missed you." The young unisus added.
Liko smiled at Kynan as he cantered over, peering at him from behind Via. It wasn't that she was afraid of her older siblings, she was just rather shy. After all, they were a lot bigger than her. However, she soon stepped out, nudging Kynan. "Hello, big brother."
Via returned the nuzzle happily, grinning widely. "I wish we could get together everyday. I miss you and Aki so terribly when you're away." The black and white mare admitted as Ioni smiled at his two adopted children.
"How have you two been lately? Enjoying yourselfs now that you're out on your own?" Ioni asked warmly, stepping forward to nuzzle Kynan and then trotting over to do the same for Aki.

Aki nuzzled the black and white filly again, glad to be with her. Nodding, she turned to Ioni. "It's quite nice...I've been off exploring. There's so much to see!" Though she had matured quite a bit, the young mare was still quite a bright, lively young pegasus. She had always hoped one of Via and Ioni's foals would take after her, and she believed Bahiya was doing so. "Bahi, would you like to learn how to braid flowers?" she asked. Smiling, she remembered the time she'd taught Kanoa and Malte. With a slight frown, she wondered where her friends were now...

Via smiled at Aki. "Exploring huh? Well be careful. I had quite a few close calls when I was younger and exploring." She said, moving closer to Aki. "But exploring is exciting, isn't it?"
Ioni frowned lightly, "Yes. Quite a few close calls, hmm Via?" The black and yellow stallion still remembered the nightmares of losing his best friend after each such call. "You know Aki, it'd probably be safer to go exploring with at least one other person instead of just by yourself."

Aki looked up, startled. "Take someone with me?" She really had no idea who she would take adventuring with her...or who would even want to go with her. She had such a tendency to be reckless, daring, and get everyone in trouble. "Um, I think I'll be fine on my own...she said a bit hesitantly. Unless Kynan would like to join...

Kynan gave Aki an odd glance, turning back to Liko and giving her a soft nuzzle. "Hi Liko," he said affectionately. Though Aki loved to play with Bahiya, the young stallion had a soft spot for the quieter twin. "How would you like to go swimming later today?" Though he denied it to himself, he knew he was trying to avoid Aki and his parents.
