Ghaleya slunk around the edges of where she had scented and heard lions living. She was curious about them; not so curious as to approach anyone, but curious nonetheless. Feeling slightly bolder than usual, the grey lioness padded onto what was obviously a path or trail. Not well-worn, but obvious enough to those who knew to look. Tail flicking idly side to side, Ghal hugged the side of the path, keeping a wary eye out. You never knew what could happen...

It had always been a habit of the young Adhi-Raj's, taking long walks around the borders of her pride, ensuring that no rogue had wandered in and gone unnoticed. Although, as she thought about it now, she figured that doing this in such a fragile state was probably unwise. Who would argue with her, though, except perhaps her aunt? A pregnant, moody warrior lioness was not someone that one would want to cross on a good day, and she usually went unrivaled in her decisions even when she didn't have a quick temper and a fiery bite.
As it was, she was taken extra care to be quiet, hide better in the foliage as she slipped along. She was not so foolish to draw attention to herself until she knew whether or not a rogue was dangerous, or had dangerous intentions, and if they just happened to be so then she would simply send for one of the scouts in the area. Knowing the jungle, being born and bred there, gave her an advantage over any rogue that just happened to be passing through. She could slip away before they noticed - she wasn't foolish enough to risk the lives of her unborn cubs.
As it were, she came upon the lioness hesitating outside her lands. Stopping far short of the path, and even farther short of the lioness herself, hidden well inside the foliage of the jungle, she took a few moments to judge her. She didn't seem forward, dangerous, or a threat, and the Adhi-raj felt it would be a safe enough decision to confront her alone. Stepping slowly onto the path, a little farther into the jungle than the lioness was herself, she turned brilliant emerald orbs onto the dark-pelted female that had ventured this far in already.
"Hello there," she said softly, though she stood her ground, quite obviously in the path of the lioness, barring her from going any farther - at least without passing by her first. It was not meant to be an ominous gesture, simply one to give her pause until the queen could determine what her intentions were in the lands.

Ghaleya came to a sudden stop when the other lioness appeared in front of her. "Er, hello," she replied, feeling a little awkward. The other lioness was a striking blue shade, and Ghaleya felt quite plain in comparison. Clearly, this was an important member of the pride, for why else would she be so bright and easily noticed among the jungle's colors? She must have protectors, guards off the path to make sure no harm came to her. The smaller lioness attempted to shrink more into herself and make it as nonthreatening a posture as possible. "I didn't mean to get so close, I'm sorry."

Tejasvi had to admit that she was quite surprised at the other female's reaction. It wasn't often that she came across a simple rogue that back downed so easily, at least not in such a meek manner. Most of them seemed to assume they had done no wrong by trespassing, or that they were equal to her on these lands. She respected the female on some level for her actions, even if it was somewhat hard to think of respecting someone who back down so easily. To earn respect, first one must give it - it was an easy concept.
"Do not apologize," she said with a small shake of her head, tail flickering behind her as she watched the dark fem, "you tread lightly and do not threaten us. As it is, you are truly only on the borders of our lands." If the female had come upon them by accident, all she had to do was comply with their wishes to turn back, no harm no foul. However, there was always the chance the female had come to them with a purpose. "May I ask why you have come into our jungle?" They couldn't turn her away if her heart felt it belonged here, at least not if she agreed to comply to their beliefs - they always believed the pride called souls back to it, souls that had been born in other lands in this time, but had originated in theirs in the past.
