Pretty rad.
They played Headfirst For Halos.
I thought I dreamt it, but I got a video clip of it, so I guess it actually happened.
I loved the b-sides. KAYF and MWHITY were pretty amazing.
I got pictures and a couple videos, but the pictures are way blurry because I kept getting shoved by little children (that wasn't pleasant. I kept swearing at them, not even realizing their parents were right there).
Who went?
And who agrees that it should have been an age-restricted show?
I can't believe how many little kids were there.
I felt tall. And I'm only 5'2".
It was insane. Everyone kept leaving because of the heat. I was laughing so hard because people are weak and lame. : ]
Gerard said at one point, "I need to get my a** some ******** oxygen."
And went off stage for a smoke between songs.
And then he mentioned how he was married here. And he also said they'd been to the Fillmore several times and I was like, uh, you must be mistaken. He kept saying how beautiful the room is. He never shut up about it. It is a pretty gorgeous room, but he said it for the entire hour and a half or so that they played, between songs. "******** beautiful room..."
Haha. Anyway.
It was pretty nice going to see them. It was the fourth time I've seen them. It wasn't nearly as much of a letdown as Projekt Rev was or when they were on tour last spring. I don't know. I liked how there weren't NEARLY as many people there as those shows. I felt more personal.
Oh.
Frank hardly moved.
Mikey's hair is weird and he wore a shirt that said "MIKEY ******** WAY" that I saw another jerk-of-a-boy wearing around the place. No glasses.
Bob's hair is so long that I could hardly tell it was him, except for the fact that he's blond.
Ray looked like a MOP, he had so much hair. And it wasn't even the normal amount of fro he has. It was past his shoulders. It was so long that it was starting to WILT, even. It was weird.
Gerard was his normal self. Swearing left and right. Screaming at us to put our ******** fingers in the air (that's a quote). Waltzing around like he owns Denver. Haha.
And their new keyboardist from Reggie... was pretty amazing. He's great on the keys, I'm inspired.
