Jazz walked briskly as he was headed up the river to meet with his mate and son. His other son, Israfel, followed behind him, trying to keep up. His mother had insisted he take his son to visit his mother, even though he had been doing so already, but there was no argueing with her, so he promised he would take him today. "Come Israfel, try and keep up." he said, looking back over his shoulder at his son. Israfel tried to pick up the pace, but his legs were just too short to try and keep up with his father without having to run. "I'm trying but your walking too fast! I'm only little ya know!" he called back in frustration. Today his father and him were going to visit his mother and brother, like they had a few days ago and a few days before that. He knew he had a big family from the stories his grandmother told him and he knew that they were all very close, hence why him and his father visited his mother and brother so much. But he had yet to meet his grandfather, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Glow relaxed beside the river, sighing softly. True, she had never liked the face that her and Jazz lived apart. However now that they had a family, two little sons of their own, she hated it more then ever. Of course they had been visiting. Still, everytime they left she felt like she was missing somthing...and it hurt to think she was not seeing everything, being there for everything. She didn't want to be left out or for either of their sons to favor one or the other simply because they felt the other wasn't their for them enough. She huffed and shook her head. Silly fears. She stretched. "Antirr, don't go to far!" she called, watching their red and purple son heading towards the trees. She shook her head and smiled lightly.Antirr stopped and looked back. He sighed. Yeah yeah. How was he expected to make any friends if he stayed around home all the time? Then again he didn't want to play around with a bunch of cry babies. He shruged. "Alright Mama!" he called back. He turned and headed back to the river side. Might as well stick around. He'd try and get friends at some point, he figured. He wondered if his brother would show up today with their dad. He had never asked, simply because he didn't want to upset his mother, but he was curious why they lived apart. Why not move out of the humans places all together and live in the forest or mountains? He just didn't understand.

Jazz continued on his way to the river where he knew he would find his mate. It was her favorite spot to be and his as well and he hoped it would become the same for his sons. "We are almost there now, Israfel. Just through those trees and under brush..." but he didn't get to finish as his son went running past him into the brush. Shaking his head Jazz chuckled to himself and picked up his pace.
That was all Israfel needed to know before he darted off past his father and into the under brush to see his mother. You could say he was a bit of a mama's boy. "Mama! Antirr!" he called out as he burst out of the under brush and was at the river bank.

Anitrr's ears perked up and he slowly looked over from where the shout came from. He spotted his brother running out of the brush. He shook his head and rolled his eyes a bit before trotting the rest of the way to is mother's side. "Israfel is here, Papa is too i bet." He said.
Glow smiled, looking as the younger of the two sons darted out, running towards them. "Yes" She smiled softly and got up. "Israfel, now where did you leave your father, hmm?" She asked. "Really now, your going to make him feel old if you keep leaving him in the dust" she teased lightly, trusting that Jazz was close enough, tho hidden behind the trees, and would be able to hear her.

Israfel spotted his mother as soon as he came through the brush and turned right in her direction, picking up his speed. "He's right behind..." Unfortunately, being not too coordinated to run and speak at the same time, he ended up tripping on a tree limb and tumbling the rest of the way to his mother and brother, stopping right before them in a tangled heap.
Jazz shook his as his son when rushing into the under brush and picked up his speed. He came through it, just in time to see his son, Israfel, tumble head over hooves. This did not suprise him on bit. The young colt was always falling over himself even while walking.

"Israfel!" Glow moved to her sons side, lightly nuzzling him. "Sweetheart are you ok?" She asked, giving him a once over to make sure he didn't hit a rock or somthing and cut himself. "You need to be more carful." she said softly.
Antirr shook his head as his brother fell. "Figures." He said. He did not rush over to make sure he was alright. He looked alive from this distance so he figured he was fine.

Israfel, completely embarrassed, jumped up at his mothers light nuzzling. His cheeks were red as he blushed for is obvious clumsiness. "I'm fine..." he muttered and looked down at the ground. He really wished his brain and his legs would cooperate alot better.
Jazz chuckled at his sons blushing and reveled in how much he acted like his mother. He then went over to his mates side to nuzzle her cheek affectionately. "He's fine. He does it all the time around the teepee. Childhood clumsiness." he said reassuringly so she wouldn't worry too much over it.

"Well i am glad your alright." She smiled lightly. "But next time, be careful." she smiled and shook her head lightly. She smiled at Jazz. "I figured." she nuzzled him back softly. "But that doesn 't mean he shouldn't be careful." she smiled. "Antirr come over here." she called to their other son.
Antirr rolled his eyes when his mother looked away and trotted over. "Hello Israfel, hello Papa." he said. "Triping over your own feet still?" the question posed at his brother. He trotted in a circle, showing his own dextarity. "Still havn't gottan your barings?" he grined.

Jazz nuzzled his mate again. "yes, I agree, he should be more careful. Anyway, how has your day been?" he asked her happy to hear how things were going with her and Antirr, even though he had not been away from them for all that long as it was only a few days ago since he last seen them. Then he turned to his red son and smiled. "Hello, Antirr. I hope you have been good for you mother today."
Israfel glared at his brother for his comment. He had not caught him rolling his eyes but he knew he had done it and he wasn't too impressed with his brother's showing off. "I've got my barings just fine enough, thank you very much. I see that your still showing off." he replied right back.

"Much better now that your here." She smiled. She smiled as their red and purple son joined them. "He's been a wonderful boy, havn't you Antirr?" she smiled. "Israfel, have you been good for your father?" she asked. She watched their sons with a smile. They both were amazing, perfected and wonderful. Both seemed like the perfect boys. Even their teaseing of each other did not seem as bad to the mare as it could be. She pictured the two of them growing up vary close.
Antirr smiled up at their father. "Yes Papa, i've been good." He winked at his brother. "Only cause i can." he grinned. "I'm just that good." He laughed a bit as he listened to his mother. "I bet he wasn't." he put in his two sense. "I'm the better behaved anyway." Ok, so that was a lie more then likely, but he had to keep up his little act.

Israfel stuck his tongue out at his brother. "I have so been good! Better than you! I am with grandma all day and she makes sure I am good." he said defensively, partially lieing as well. There had been a few times he had snuck away and run into his grandpa.
Jazz chuckled at the boys bickering. "Now now, you both are very good boys equally. No one is better than the other." he said ending the fight before it got too far. It made him remember how him and his siblings were when they were younger, especially him and his sister. Turning to his mate he smiled. "Well, I am glad that I can brighten your day by just being here."

"Why would you be with grandma? What, did papa just abandon you and go running off? or does he just not like you?" Antirr asked. He was always with his mom. Always. Well, once in a while he went out for a bit but he was never gone long and even then if he came back he hung around his mom. He couldn't imagine why his brother wasn't around their dad...
Glow smiled. "Definatly much brighter." She looked to their sons. She blinked as she caught Antirr's words. "Antirr!" she scolded. "Do i need to punish you? You do not say such a thing about your father, do you understand?" she said. Antirr never spoke like that, it confused her and upset her. There would be no unrest in her family if she had anything to say about it.

Jazz was a bit hurt by his son's words but brushed it off and smiled at him. "Now do you think I would go running off and abandon you all, Antirr? I know that I am not around all the time but that doesn't mean that I go running off or that I have abandoned anyone. Your brother just enjoys spending time with your grandmother and she enjoys spending time with him since she doesn't get much company anymore and your brother Rhapsody isn't around much either." he tried to explain and went over to nuzzle Antirr.
Israfel felt like crying at his brothers words, which he knew were untrue. Thier father was always around and he just choose to stay by thier grandma because she enjoyed his company and he loved to hear stories about when thier father was a foal and when thier half-brother Rhapsody was a foal. "What papa says is right! Your just lieing, Antirr. Papa is always there too! Grandma tells me stories and I like to hear them, thats why I stick with her most of the time!" he said defensively trying not to let the tears come.

"Well you don't live around here. And you leave Mom alone when you run off back to the other place. So really you do kinda run off and abandon us somtimes." He said.
Glow moved and lightly nuzzled Israfel, noticing how upset he was. She lightly nudged him, guiding him away. "Come with me for a little bit, sweetheart." She said lightly. "Antirr, you stay here." she said as she saw their red son try to follow. "You need to speak with your father." she was rather upset at Antirr's words. She looked up Jazz with a bit of worry before she lead Israfel back towards her teepee home.

Israfel looked back at his father as he followed his mother. He knew that thier father would never abandon them. Grandma had told him about his half-brother's mother and knew how much it had hurt his father. He then looked up at his mother and nuzzled her back.
Jazz watched as his mate and other son walked away and then turned back to his eldest son. "Come here and lay by the river with me." he said heading towards the river bank. The river had always been his favorite place to be and his mother had always brought him to the river when he was younger. "Antirr, do you not like me as your father?" he asked trying to get into his son's mind and to see where he was coming from.
