We just found out today that my mother has a massive cyst at the base of her brain. The doctors had thought she had had a stroke, but through the tests they discovered it was a cyst. She has had mood and personality changes, can not write anymore, and is very unsteady on her feet, which is why they thought it was a stroke.
Can I please get you guys to pray (to whom ever you pray to) for my mom and/or keep her and my family in your thoughts.

My mother is having brain surgery on the 9th of May to put a shunt in.
I'm going to go on a whinnying fit now.
This is all so unfair. My parents can not come to my college graduation now (its the 10th). My mother will, if everything goes perfectly, be in a wheel chair and not well during my wedding. It angers me. These are suppose to be wonderful and exciting times, instead I'm going to spend all of graduation worrying about my mother... I know life isn't fair, everything happens for a reason, all that s**t. It doesn't make you feel better though, it makes me bitter.

Mom is still the hospital. Today marks her 25th day I think. The expected her to be in for only 4 days. Tomorrow they are going to "play" with the shunt in her head, they don't really know what this will do though. It could make her recovery take a better turn, or a worse one. We are all scared and worried. Things have not been going how the doctors planned or wanted. We'll see what happens tomorrow...

They decided today that they are going to reopen mom up and move the valve on her shunt from the base of her head to her shoulder. So, more surgery and more time in the hospital. Please keep her, my family, and the doctor in your thoughts/prayers.

Mom has been doing well, everything hasn't healed up like the docs wanted but what surgery ever goes perfect?
She has another surgery on Dec 23, this time on her eyes. It is a minor out patient surgery, but hopefully it will correct her vision. After the brain surgery her eyes stopped working together. So now she has double vision and has to wear and eye patch. (We took some fun pirate photos at my wedding!)
If all goes well her eyes should start working together again.

Sweetie, I will pray for your family, you, and your mother.
If you need to talk, please feel free to PM me.
My mother went through lots of surgery last Christmas too. It's not fun.
