Subliminal Zutara FTW!

This is all kinds of awesome! 8D Not only does the DVD cover look awesome, it has Aang in the Avatar State, which, if it's not being misleading, means Aang has let go of earthly attatchments. =D Hopefully.
Spoiler! What's all this about 'Pheonix Lord'? O.o I could kinda see the 'Azula'becoming-Fire-Lord' thing happening, but I'm not sure what this new title is. Theories?
*continues spazzing*

Theories?Spoilers I think the Pheonix Lord title implies that Ozai is now a universal Fire Lord. There are the Fire Nation colonies and Omashu along with Ba sing se, so obviously they're now under rule with lower ranking Fire Navy Generals,Liuetenants,Captians etc. So it's like Ozai can command the world with but a flick of his hand. Especially with Azula as the Nation's second Fire Lord just below the big dragon.

It seems so strange that Aang is in the Avatar state, because at the begining of The Invasion, Aang says... "when Azula shot me with lightning, my seventh chakra was locked, cutting off my connection to all the cosmic energy." Now don't get me wrong, I want Aang to go into the avatar state but what I want to know is how.

Fire Lord Craig It seems so strange that Aang is in the Avatar state, because at the beginning of The Invasion, Aang says... "When Azula shot me with lightning, my seventh chakra was locked, cutting off my connection to all the cosmic energy." Now don't get me wrong, I want Aang to go into the avatar state but what I want to know is how. Spoilers to Fire Lord CraigWell, in order to open the Chakra, he'd have to give up Katara permanently. The Kataangers seem to think he can just let her go for a few minutes and take her back. If he does this, then it was pointless to do so in the first place since he went in a full circle, pretty much.
Then there is the thing they, [the Kataangers], say: "Well Avatar Roku lead a life as an Avatar and then got to lead a normal life with a wife and family." Yeah, look what order that is in! Roku mastered each and every one of the bending forms and each lesson that came with them! So he is well behaved and knows where his duty is, after mastering each form he got to be with his wife. But the story didn't end happily as we witnessed.
Aang is friends with other teenagers who are Bending Masters either near his age [Toph] or older [Zuko and Katara], but they aren't full adults and they pretty much taught themselves, so the strict discipline isn't there, you see? Well this isn't entirely true for Zuko as he did have Uncle Iroh, but even then when Zuko told him "You WILL teach me the advanced set." Iroh agreed.

I mean, think about it. Phoenixes are symbolic of Fire, rebirth and immortality. And while I highly doubt that he's discovered the key to immortality, he is putting himself pretty up there in terms of ruling status. He's thinking that he is going to win the war, that the world will be his. So, of course, he needs a spiffy new name, since "Fire Lord" just isn't large enough for the master of all four nations. It's kind of what ancient civilizations did with their leaders, compared them to gods, and depicted them as untouchable beings, deitys themselves. They blended human attributes with Animalistic ones, like Bulls, jaguars, lions, just to give them a bit of punctuation to their measure of power. Phoenix Lord would associtate him with all those powerful attributes of the Phoenix, and make his new name one to be feared.
So, basically, Ozai's ego is inflating. Massively. xd
Mike and Bryan have indeed done their Art History homework. 3nodding whee
