Lucrezia had never seen so much water. She stared out at the ocean before her, infinite and blue and flat, an expressionless liquid plane, and wondered how they had arrived at this destination. Had they travelled through time? Or space? Or perhaps both?
The platform she was standing on bobbed slightly. Someone somewhere else on it was moving around. A sneaking, sly part of her suspected they were still on earth, for some of the things she had seen here were vaguely reminiscent of other versions of the planet she had witnessed in her travels, familiar objects out of context and therefore utterly alien.
But, if this was earth, how did a world like this come to be?
"What is this place?" she asked the dry air, not sure if anyone could hear her or not. It could pass as a rhetorical question, so she wasn't worried about an answer. But that didn't mean one wouldn't be welcome.

Yes, in all actuality, Aiden was a lazy bum. Correction: Aiden was an incredibly lazy bum. One would think that after bossing around every living thing in a five-mile radius, that perhaps the man would have something better to do than sleep all day. Of course, the last few days, this was not the case. If one was to ask him just where he'd been, or just what he'd be doing, he'd respond with something nonchalant such as, "Oh, behind the scenes work, dear," or possibly even, "Don't you have work to do?"
However, at this very moment, Aiden stepped out of his trailer, eager to stretch his legs after the world-hop. It was a long-lasting tradition that he felt as though he had to uphold. A nap, a stretch, and a walk around the new camp ground usually did the trick, unless something more interesting should occur.
As he begin to take in the watery world around him, he spotted a young girl that he had not spoken to in a great deal of time. A smile now forming on his face, Aiden decided that he might as well say hello to the girl. No harm in that, right?
"This place," he began as he suddenly appeared behind her, "Would be Waterworld. Though, I'm sure that's no shock what with the... water everywhere."
A brief pause later, and he raised his eyebrows to the girl. "Hello, Lucrezia. Long time no see. How've you been?"

Waterworld? Well, that made sense in a sort of self-evident way. Lucrezia let it go and turned to face Aiden. She didn't think she had seen him in several months outside of shows and would have asked where he'd been hiding himself, but she figured she probably didn't want to know.
"Bonjour!" she said happily, cracking a smile. Her revulsion at the purple stuff on his face long forgotten (she could now say she had seen far weirder), it now occurred to her that she had really missed their talks.
"I'm good," she said. "I loved Paris."
A moist breeze off the ocean kicked up. It wasn't entirely unpleasant. She decided maybe this world wasn't quite as bad as she had anticipated.
