Irelia sat on her bicycle outside of the Antique shop, waiting for Antony. After last weekend, Irelia was loathe to get Antony angry again, and she arrived actually early for their meeting.
Chewing on a stick of gum, Irelia sighed. It probably wasn't the best idea being pretty much alone with the older boy in the woods, not when she didn't know how far she could push him before he snapped. But it was too late to go back on her request now.

Antony stopped running as he caught sight of her, tugging on the collar of his t-shirt even though he wasn't sweating yet. He was in good shape, even for a teenager, although his father teased him about being so skinny. "Alright," he said as he walked over. "Where is this forest?"

"Its by the park, not very far in to it. I dunno, the flowers are all white, and not like the others in the rest of the park. It gives me the willies."
Irelia sat on her bike, and started to pedal. Antony had long legs, he could keep up.
"Follow me,"

He nodded, following her at an easy pace. Mentally he damned his father for training him as he had. He could have ridden a bike! He just hadn't even thought of it. Running on the weekend was so ingrained in his body that he forgot he was doing it.
It was hardly princely, he thought with a hint of self disgust. But oh well. It was too late now anyway. "What do you think it is, then?" he asked her.

Irelia watched at Antony kept easy pace with her bicycling. She had short legs, and a tendency to walk quite slow, so she was happy to be on her bike and not being dragged behind the long-legged Antony.
"I don't know, it could really be anything. But I dunno, I don't have any abilities that are going to help out there, and you might? Or you might just laugh at me when you see nothing, and think I dragged you out here to be alone with you. Which is not what I am saying."
Irelia wanted to bury her head in the sand. She always said the worst, and most uncomfortable things when Antony was around. Her bike jumped over the cement curb that separated the park from the city, and she turned left, towards the small grove of trees that really wasn't a forest.
"Its in here," Irelia called.

He paused, noting the place for a moment and wondering if he had ever been here. No, he thought as he started forward again, he hadn't. He would have remembered the strange feel of the place.
"Well, this is interesting," Thanatos said from behind him. "But isn't she a bit young for that sort of thing?"
"What sort of thing? Sensing spirits?" Antony asked quietly.
"Oh, is that what they call it nowadays?"

Irelia started for the clearing, breathing in the scent of the flowering plants all around her. She didn't even notice Antony's pause, happy to be on one of her adventure's again. Finding the clearing easily, Irelia dropped her bike on the ground, and waited for Antony to join her.
Even though the forest seemed small from the outside, inside it almost appeared to be dusk, long shadows stretching across the forest floor. There was practically no sound, save for Irelia's breathing.
It was like the forest was waiting for something.

He stepped into the shadows, looking around curiously for a long moment. "I don't see anything yet," he admitted. "But there is a feel to this place."
"And lots of soft moss on the ground to--"
"Why don't we go in further?" Antony asked, completely ignoring Thanatos. Seriously, the shinigami needed to get a girlfriend and stop butting in on his life.
"Oh, good idea! Then no one will find out you're a ***** blinked, wondering, briefly, what a ***** was. He would look it up when he got home, he decided.

Irelia turned to look at Antony.
"Yeah, it gets a little weirder further in. Maybe you should go ahead," Irelia said, lingering by her bike. She was weirded out by this patch of trees, but couldn't DO anything about it.
A well sat in the middle of the clearing in front of them, surrounded by lillies. Irelia whimpered a little.
"That... wasn't there before."

"Huh," Antony said, and Thanatos repeated it, not that Irelia heard it. "Interesting..." He jerked as he found his hand in his pocket, reaching for a coin. "It's a wishing well, I think."
What else could he say?

Irelia ran over to Antony and grabbed his hand.
"Don't do that! What if that creepy girl from the Ring is in there?"
Irelia gulped. Why, oh why, did she have to bring that movie up now?

"Very interesting," Antony said. "Hello!" he called, dragging Irelia closer to the well. "Is there someone living--oh, sorry, that was crass of me, staying here?" he asked, looking down the well curiously.

Irelia struggled to get away from Antony, but he seemed to think getting nearer the well was the way to go. At least being close to Antony was safer than being far away. Hopefully whatever it was would go for Antony over Irelia, as he looked like a tastier treat.

Lily opened her eyes, peering up the well to the night sky above. Was someone... calling to her? Smiling despite herself, Lily floated to the surface, knowing that children were above her. Not her children, no, those children had been homed with two nice young men and the other, after a sullen fiasco, had found a place with a large green... man, these were like her children.
Sitting on the edge of the well, she smiled at the three of them.
"Hullo. Who are you?"

"Good day to you, ma'am," Antony said with a slight bow. "My name is Antony, and this is Irelia. We're from the Cabbage Patch." He looked at her for a moment, noting that she was quite beautiful in a shifting sort of way. It seemed as if her eyes changed with every blink. "And this," he added, glancing over his shoulder at the shinigami, "is Thanatos."
He wondered if Irelia would think he was tricking her again. The thought honestly amused him and he half hoped she would.
"Yo," Thanatos said, lifting one jeweled hand and waving it, his other hand holding onto his scythe. Today he was looking exceptionally punkish in a scull and crossbones tanktop, tattered black jeans, and a long leather trenchcoat. But at least his scull wasn't showing through his face yet, Antony thought dryly.

Lily clapped merrily, looking for all the world like a child herself.
"Oh goody, I love the Patch Children. So full of possibilities and joy."
She stood up and walked over to Antony, peering at him.
"So, Boy of Blue, do you have a wish for me? Something, or someone, called me here. Was it you? Or maybe her, though she can't see me."
Lily motioned to Irelia who was staring at Antony with an eyebrow cocked. There was no way Antony could try and tell her he didn't see ghosts NOW.
"Antony, Antony, is it scary?" Irelia asked, quite fearful.
