Dear Journal,
Today Gramma and Grampa gave me my trainer kit for my going away party. This included you in it, so I decided I should write in you, because this basically means this is my first day getting on my way in the world. I can't wait to find out what pokemon I'm getting...Maybe I might get a Chimchar... My cousin got one, and he's a little sweety heart hmm...maybe Gramma and Grampa might let me take one of the pokemon from home as my partner. That'd be awesome! Because they already know me and they all know my voice...hmm....
Well anyway, earlier today I was in the barn cleaning out the stalls when I heard a Fearow screech. I hate that sound... But I had to know what was going on so I ran outside and saw a Fearow chasing after a poor Machop! The poor thing was trying to run as fast as he can trying to get away from that aweful bird! Smart little guy... Flying always beats fighting types... Thank goodness Gramma saw the Fearow too and got Rika her Raichu after it. By that time I was already at the Machop who was laying near the entrance of the barn. At first it wanted to fight me, but it was so weak it just passed out in my arms. Gramma told me to take it in the barn and take care of it with the potions from the cupboard next to the shovels and feed. Of course I did that, after I laid it in the spare stall at the far corner of the barn. That's where we kept all the fresh hay. It looked so helpless...especially for a strong looking pokemon...
Anyway it's getting late and I have chores to do tomorrow before I ask Gramma and Grampa about the pokemon. And I'm also going out later tonight to check on that Machop... Well goodnight.

Dear Journal,
It's raining outside the tent right now and it's almost midnight. I know I should be in bed... But I can't sleep. So much has happened today, and I'm afraid that if I fall asleep... I might wake up tomorrow and it all be a dream.
Okay, remember the Machop I told you I was going to check on earlier? Well I went to check on it and found that it was missing! I looked all over the ranch for it, but it seemed to have vanish completely... To be honest, I was disappointed, I mean, I wanted it as a partner, because it would have been my own, because I was taking care of it... silly right? Earlier today while I was walking down the dirt road into town, I saw something wonderful in the sky... Pink and Blue streaks of light in the sky. They were dancing around each other in beautiful formations. And I knew then the rumor was true.... There WAS two Mews in the area! Though they were too far up to see them, only their lights, I took seeing them as a good omen for my journey. Well... even though you know the road like the back of you hand, you still have to watch it, because there are alot of wild pokemon around. I made that mistake when I stepped on the tail of an Ekans that was sleeping on the side of the road. The jolt woke it up and it lunged at me, but missed me, thankfully, and I ran like hell to get away. But I also forgot that Ekans were fast than humans, even when they have a reason to use their speed. I knew I had no chance against it. Especially when it knocked me down with it's Tail Whip. It then began to wrap around me with its...well Wrap.
That's when something else wonderful happened. It happened so fast I wasn't sure if I was being attacked or the Ekans. It was only afterwards when the Machop, that I helped earlier, pulled me to my feet, that's when I knew he (I found out what gender) saved me. And it took me a moment when I realized that he wanted to come with me. A friendship sparks! ^.^
I named him Malakite, and tell you now, he snores. Which is nice, because I'm not alone anymore.

Dear Journal,
I haven't been able to write in you for a few days, and I greatly apologize. I've been really busy lately with my three new pokemon, Lucky, Bleam, and Jasper. Bleam is my Vaporeon that I caught just a few days ago, and I got Jasper, my Glacieon the same day, only he was abandoned by this one guy I saw. He was riding one of those hover scooters and he was trying to force the poor thing to fight a Nidoking, even while Jasper was so sick. Well when Jasper failed to defeat the Nidoking, the guy just left him there. It made me so mad! But because of what that guy did, poor Jasper is having a tough time trusting me. I'm glad I had Bleam though, she convinced him to come along with me. Malakite isn't happy though, because he's not the only male anymore. I explained to all three of them that we're a family now, so I don't need any squabbling amongst ourselves. That was just today, Nurse Joy said it was a good thing I had a big caring heart. She then asked me if I could take care of an Absol who was found by another trainer after being washed up on the river bank. I told her yes, and that's how I got Lucky. Name suits him don't it? Well anyway, I'm having all four being checked up right now which gave me some time to write in you. I hope that guy comes in here... I'll never forget his face... I can picture my fist in it. So cruel, so arragant...It makes me want to spit acid and bust the table I'm writing on.

Location: A strange cabin in the woods
Dear Journal,
It has been quite a while since I've written in you, for one reason, you were soaked...the other was because I was bonding with my pokemon. I've been in this cabin for a while now, and we're all getting along just fine. Jasper's even warming up to me. ^.^ Anyway, you were soaked because I fell into the lake which is not far from here because of that same guy who abandoned poor Jasper. It seems he was chasing after a strangely colored Feraligator, (which I thought was a female lol) who lived in the lake. But the Feraligator was no match for the guy's pokemon! It was awesome to witness the guy's defeat. Then when he went away I yelled at him that it surved him right. Carma gets you right in the tailbone. I then went to see the Feraligator, give it some of my treats for doing a great job. But I noticed it (he) was acting strangely. Then I realized, he was a rather seasoned (trying not to say old) Feraligator, because of all the scars that covered his purple hide. It was then I realized that last battle took it out of him so I offered to give him some help till he got better. At first he didn't, but I guess he understood that I only wanted to help him, not catch him. So for a good two days I applied potions to him, fed him, and tried to cover him up, but my sleeping bag isn't really that...big lol. My other pokemon helped out as well, Malakite chopped fallen braches into wood, Bleam got some fish and water cress and grass from the lake to help feed the Feraligator's rather huge appetite, Lucky and Jasper gathered berries, and Mystic (I don't know how I got her...she just came) helped keep the fire going. Before I knew it, the Feraligator was in almost perfect health, and I guess he must have thought of a plan or something, because, he took one of my Pokeballs and got inside it!!! Once it was finished catching him I took him out and asked him what he was thinking! And then he pointed to the pokeball then at himself. I guess he was saying, he was better off being with a trainer he knew could take care of him and wanted to protect him than be with a trainer who wanted him for power and strength. I then asked him if he was sure, and he nodded. So that's basically what happened.
