Power Ranger was possible my favourite tv programme from when i was younger. I haven't watched it since i was about 8-9, with it not being shown since then and i watched it again for the first time last week. And it just not as cool as i remember it being.

I was in the 3rd or 4th grade when the Power Rangers first came around and I thought it was the greatest thing ever.
It had, in no short:
-Martial Arts -Robots -Robots that combined into bigger robots -Aliens -Ninjas -Guns that shot lasers -Talking swords -Explosions -Sorcery
I haven't seen the original show in some time, but I've watched (with no shame, whatsoever mrgreen ) the occasional episode of some of the newer series. The basic forumla hasn't changed, it seems, which is probably why its still popular after all these years.

I liked the first season, but I think I quit watching it after that because I got a gameboy that I could smuggle into the lady's house who watched me and a bunch of other kids from my school. Video Games vs. TV shows... well for me the choice was obvious. Most of the time it still is. Oh, I love the Dante Vergil in your sig Full English.

I absolutely loved this show when I was a kid! I remember coming home from school and going to my friend's house to watch it. Immediately afterwards we would head outside and sort-of recreate the show ourselves. xd
There was always a fight between my sister and her friend over who got to be the pink ranger. I was always the yellow ranger. heart xd

When I was a kid I loved the original. I watched it again with the Mystic Force (or something like that---flipped the channels and just found myself just watching it); I thought it got better than when I was younger, acting not soo cheeesy; I thought the enemies got better as well...then I watch all other power rangers I didn't like them as much. I love both the pink and yellow ranger

I still remember watching the first espisode when I was in the 4th grade. I'll watch it every once in a while depending on how bored I am. I agree the older showers were better.

I can remember watching the very first power ranger with my son and thinking that it will be a cool show for me and him to watch. We watched it for the first year and then it started getting a little crazy. Since then I have watched it a few more times and I still don't like it as much as the orginial.

I wonder what the cast, other than Amy Jo Johnson's doing now. I think I saw the guy who played as Jason in a tornado movie. I forgot what it's called. Tornado, maybe? 4laugh

Dude! The Ninja Turtles Rule!!! I loved Raphael myself....As for the rest of the crew... I know the green/white/how ever many colors he was ranger, Tommy;Jason David Frank, is actually a professional martial artist and runs his own dojo. If anyone remembers Adam, the second black ranger, it may surprise you all to know he still does quite a bit. He was the voice of Vash the Stampede in Trigun, as well as a character from Bleach, (though I'm not sure which). This is funny...I have no idea if it's true or not, but i heard David Yost (A.K.A Billy, the blue ranger) actually got into a little soft core porn...Again, I can't confirm it, but if so.....WIERD! rofl

I'm with ya on The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Also Scooby Doo (I never really liked Scrappy) and Popeye. Oh and Jem and She-Ra!! I agree that most shows that I watched when I was younger are not as exciting as they used to be sad

I think it was his voice. Wow! you remember Gem?! That's awesome! I only remembered that show when you mentioned it. I used to love it. smile
