Hello everyone.
I've been reading through the forums today and a lot of it hurts me deeply. I'm a pretty new Christian, but when people reject and insult Jesus Christ when He has done so much for them. I just don't know what to say. In one thread today, they were saying to respect Satan! I was blown away.. and yet not even a year ago, that was me. eek
Maybe it's just me being a goof ball, but are any of you moved like this with these threads that so blatantly insult the God who gave them life? Insulting Jesus Christ who gave His own blood so that they could be saved? I don't understand. A year ago, I was the one who was saying that the Bible was written by 'men' so it couldn't be true... it had to have lies in it.. but in reality, I was scared. I was scared that I wouldn't be enough, or I would have to give up to much.. or that I would be rejected.
I wish that there was something I could say to convince them, to help them see the light. It hurts me deeply when I can't find the right thing to say. And so, I pray about it.
Do any of you have suggestions? Perhaps a better way to witness to these people who don't care to see the light...

crying Omgsh I kno! It makes me sad that these people are so lost and blinded by their own sins. I flinch inwardly everytime God or Jesus or christianity itself is bashed. I also do that when someone cusses or uses Gods name in vain. Its just a little jerk in my heart for that person. xp I try my best to present the best argument. I am logical to the logical, and passionate to the passionate. I give scriptures to back up my every word, and I research thoroughly before posting. I only post where I think my words will be heard or where I am comfortable with the topic. I never post without knowledge about the subject. Mebbe sometimes I am to logical, but that's what i'm best at. xp If prayer is your gift, I say go for it. Mine is debate, or the message of knowledge. I'm working and praying hard for the wisdom one. xd lol
1 Cor 12:7-11 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Yeah.. patience is not my strong point. I'm starting to be able to take things a little bit better. Plus I just had an excellent time in church today and that rocked. I only wish that more people were open to the light that Jesus is offering. Just keep trying though, every day share Him with at least one other person. And maybe eventually someone will become interested...

AND it's got the whole chapter listed so you can see the context. It's: www.blueletterbible.org And this website is run by a very successful pastor, Chuck Missler. He's got this weekly update that has like 10 things listed that happened this week that have Biblical relevance. If anyone is interested, the site is: www.khouse.org If you can't find anything, I may not always be on Gaia, but if you're adventurous, pm me. But if you can't get ahold of me, my email is sugarbunnybabe06@yahoo.com. You can scream at me and say, "You stupid girl! I've PMed you and you never got back to me." (not really, whee )

It hurts me too when people talk disrespectfully about God and Jesus. I love Jesus soooo much that sometimes it makes me cry when people say things like that. I have to remind myself that they are only saying those things because they haven't found Jesus yet and don't have His peace within them. I continiously pray that the lost will find Jesus and see His wonderful love for them. It's really hard to witness on gaia because so many people here are against Christians because they have been hurt by them before and because they know we are onto something, but don't want to admit it. I just keep praying for them. That's almost all I can do without getting torn apart by them.

Yeah... I can't stand it when people say bad things about God... or say (very untrue) good things about Satan. It's not just a problem I have here on Gaia, either... I have to deal with it at school a lot... One day I heard some girls talking, and one of them was saying something about having to be at church the night before and how stupid all the people who went up and decided they "needed Jesus." She was laughing about Christian faith! crying I was sooo mad! If I had fur, it would have been bristling! Grr... I wouldn't hurt a fly, though (literally sweatdrop ), so I left her alone... That was back when I was pretty shy about my religion... I found a cool way of trying to wittness to people who are really into dark vampire and demon stuff and such... see, a good friend of mine is really into vampires and such, and she never seems to tired of talking about vampires and all the other dark stuff she reads and writes about... Well, after a while of listening to nonstop vampire stuff from her, I started to get ideas. See, I like some vampire stories and such (not really into hardcore horror stuff... xp but some of the more low intensity vampire stories are pretty cool...), so, since I like to write stories, I decided to write a story about (dun dun dun) a Christian Vampire! biggrin I actually just finished the story not too long ago. It's my odd little attempt at wittnessing in my own, unique way. 3nodding I mean, what other nutcase would think to write a Christian story about vampires? ^_^

I dislike it when people wear Christianity as a fad. They think that being a Christian is a popular thing to do- like buying a new pair of shoes or a Gucci bag! Way back when i was in middle school, the "popular kids" decided to go to youth group meeting. but when they got there they would all talk in the back of the room not listening to the message- like it was another hang out spot. i was happy when one of the youth pastors finally called them out saying that this was a place of worship, and basically if they want a place to hang out to go else where. 3nodding
But it all makes me mad- i worry especially since in schools kids are getting worse and worse. And more of them dislike God. I worry about my younger siblings and what they will have to deal with when they go to middle school and high school. Im in college now so i don't see it as much but when i visit my old high school..it makes me kind of sad that the world is going down the drain. But i guess its a sign of the times.

Sister I feel your pain. It seems that as the end draws near people grow more and more scared they try to use bold words and lies to hide their fear but all they do is help to bring thos efears to pass. Pray my sister for them. They are blind. But remmember this dear sister, that God made the blind see, the defe hear and the lame walk trust in Him for He has a plan for every one from the smallest child to the old who have witnest the ongoing war for the souls of men. I shall place them in my prayers and I shall pray for you, that your heart shall not be troubled. heart

Perhaps, just as the roman soldier who crucified Christ, they will fill compassionate and broken. Then, perhaps, they will kneel at the cross with the rest of us.
