*continued from the thread* one over three He laughed at Sasha's description of doctors, "I am young for a doctor. I spent a lot of time in hospitals when I was a child. One of the reason being that my father was a doctor. I asked a lot of questions, got a lot of answers. I actually ended up taking correspondence courses and spending a lot of time learning... err, first hand with my father." His fidgeting satisfied he pulled the right hand glove back on. "It wasn't a conventional education by any means but it's more then enough. We opened the clinic just a few months ago. So I haven't been working there very long either."
((And I'm not really sure what else to type right now. ;D I'll wait for Kait to get back.)) Sasha looked impressed. Smoothing the fur on her tail, she smiled up at him. "Maybe I should switch to your clinic then!" Laughing she shook her head. "Congrats, though. You worked hard, and you deserve it." She was kind of a loafer, herself. She was well taken care of, she didn't have to work. Sometimes she wished she did though. Then things wouldn't always be so boring.

"Thank you," Chane's gaze slipped past Sasha and for a moment he seemed to be looking at nothing. But then he shook his head and his eyes flicked back to her. "Sorry, did you say what you do for a living? I must have missed it."

She tilted her head at him, but didn't say anything about his vacant look. "Hm? Me?" Whoo, that was the question of the hour apparently. Sighing, she looked up at the young doctor and couldn't help but feel like she'd wasted most of her life. "I don't have an occupation, really." Resting her chain in her hand, she blinked a moment before continuing. "I'm well taken care of, working isn't necessary. But I do help out and help tutor the kids in my family," she added in a hurry so he didn't think she was totally lazy or something.

"I envy you. I'd go insane if I didn't have something to keep myself busy with," nothing in his tone indicated that he might be mocking her. "I honestly didn't have all that much choice in my profession. Is there anything you're interested in going into eventually? It must be a bit overwhelming, having so many paths open in front of you."

"Well.." She hadn't really thought about that. It'd always been the way things were right now, she helped teach the brats and spent the rest of her time doing nothing really. She did like teaching them though. Maybe she could do that... "I'm not sure." Sighing softly, a hand went to her tag again, fiddling with it. "I like teaching the kids."

He nodded, "That's a good place to start. Children are important..." He fell silent, a half smile on his lips.

She nodded, dropping her hand into her lap again. As he fell silent, she tilted her head at him. "Do you like children, Chane?"

"Yeah, I guess so. I mean, I don't not like them," he shrugged, moving away from the wall as he did so. "You know what's funny? I don't think anyone's asked me that before."

That made her laugh. Grinning up at him, she stood up herself, shortening the hight distance between them by a little. He still was much taller than her, but meh. "I guess most people don't ask unless they want you to have children, or to pawn theirs off on you."

Her eyes widened and she laughed as well. "Well, seeing as I don't have any kids of my own... It can't be that. And I think it may be a little too early to be asking you if you'd like to have kids."

"Well that's good. I'm afraid I don't know all that much about baby sitting," He fidgeted with the strap of his side bag. "Um, this is really out of nowhere, but this jacket is getting pretty warm. I'm going to go back to my room and change it. I'll catch you later, alright?"

"Oh. Sure." She gave him a small smile and nodded. "I'm sure I can find a brat or two to bug. Put on my angry face and make sure they're doing their homework."

"Thanks," Chane said, appreciating that she wasn't insisting that he simply remove the jacket. "And make sure they eat their vegetables! See ya' later!" He chuckled to himself as he walked out of the room.

She gave him a small smile, watching him leave. What the hell was she going to do now... Musing, she noticed something fall out of his pocket. After a moment, she realized he probably needed it and scurried after him, scooping it up. Oh hell. It was keys. Yeah, they were probably really important.
