New musician that some of you might be interested in!
Her name is Wakeshima Kanon, a cellist and singer under the tutelage of Mana, more or less. He's acting as her producer and composer and so far she's writing her own lyrics. Her debut single comes out soon [or came out recently, I can't find dates on the PVs I've grabbed] and was used as the ending theme for "Vampire Kishi"/"Vampire Knight" the anime.
You can see the PV for her video here: on youtube in which she is dressed in classical lolita [hints at gothic, but a bit more subdued] and a very frilly wedding gown.
The video itself is a bit reminiscent of the stereotypical themes found in Kana and Mana's own videos and photo shoots. The music is definitely something he wrote, but Kanon adds her own touch to things, as well. It doesn't hurt that she actually played the cello part for this song, either.
She isn't the strongest vocalist out there, but this is also only her debut single and there's a lot of room for her to improve with time. She definitely tops Kana's singing, at least.

I still damn you to hell for showing me this song. ;_;
Now I want to get into more darker classical-lolita or just straight up gothic lolita.

My boyfriend still can't decide if he likes the song or not. ^^;
He keeps listening to it, then IMing me or calling me to growl about it. It apparently lacks a hook for him, but appeals to him in terms of the mixing of Baroque and contemporary music stylings.
I'd definitely like to hear more from her, though. She rocks out that cello, man.

Its sorta cute. I kinda hate the ending to Vp knight. I love their uniforms though.

I love this song! I put on my MP3 player as soon as I heard it. I love how it sounds-and looks-haunting, and of course Wakeshima's dresses are lovely.

A double post, sorry!
I was looking at Kanon Wakeshima's myspace and I saw that she has a new song! It's called Kuroi Torikago and I'm in love with it! They also have a music box version of Still Doll!

She's released a couple more singles, now. I really don't care for her latest. It's just ... eh. There's something not quite right about the sound.
