Legislation involving current, artist-friendly copyright laws getting the finger. Basically, it would make it so that anything that isn't expressly registered with a copyrighter would be totally open game to anyone who wants to use it.

Certainly, it's fair that old, unused works have... something happen to them; a dead guy's painting from two hundred years ago that's gathering dust, unknown, in an abandoned building should have something done about it. However, the flip side is that it's so easy to go too far, and make it so that a company's "reasonable search" for the owner is a quick Google search, done with it, put it on a billboard and screw you.
