{Thank you,} he replies a little sourly. {No, Cart is, as far as I know, not your relative. I'm your grandfather several times removed, and the closest thing you have to a really family. None of the others know of this, Khala. I'd rather you didn't tell them. They might find out in time, but I'd still prefer that you not discuss this with the others.} He paused for a moment, a smile spreading across his worn face. {It did warm my heart when you called me "Grandfather". I'm not exactly your grandfather, but the name is still appropriate.}
