A gust of wind coming from nowhere in particular blew into Vieno, causing her mane to fly in every which direction. The ribbon in her hair flew along with her mane and she quickly lowered her neck, trying to stop the wind from making a mess of her. Quietly side stepping to behind a tree the mare giggled, at this rate the weather was going to blow her away. Not that this optimistic mare really cared, she just figured being blown away to a far away land wasn't her plan for today. What was her plan for the day, had she woken up knowing she was supposed to do something? Perhaps not but the wind wasn't welcomed either way.
The wind had died down slightly so the mare crept out from behind her tree and looked up to the sky. Bright, beautiful and blue, the spring always seemed to be filled with the most beautiful of colors. She smiled and looked off to her side, noticing some new flowers sprouting ready to soon bloom. The grass was a dirty yellowish brown, not bright green like the summer for it had just been relieved of the snow. Of course, the bright, fresh, green, grass tasted better than the dull brown stuff but all good things had to start someplace.
Birds chirped off someplace in the distance, and Vieno's ears pricked as she listened to the other animals around here. The still silence of winter was certainly no more and the mare was more than ready to enjoy the spring time.
Another gust of wind pulled Vieno out of her daze and she sighed, shaking her head slowly. "Warning me not to let myself wander off?" she asked nobody in particular. Still shaking her head, the mare wandered off to the edge of the clearing, pulling up some of the longer grass to munch on. If the wind was going to play games with her, she could at least eat her breakfast. Then, maybe by the time she was done it'd be finished being gusty outside.
