Do you think it's a tragedy that Mike has to deal with OCD for his entire life? Or do you think it helps him greatly in his talents? I think it indeed helps him in his music. It must be strange to have OCD you think? I couldn't possibly imagine myself with a disease like that.

I wasn't aware that he was suffering from it... though I may have heard it somewhere. I was aware, of course, of his struggle with alcohol.
I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with something like that. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to run in my family. It's good that he has a wife and kids to support him through it all.

I have a slight case of that... All I can say about it is that I've come to notice that it affects mostly artists (in my surroundings, anyway), and that it gets REAL tiring after a while. x_x
My current obsession right now is The Joys... A band from London, Ontario. Their music really got to me and I'm searching about every newspaper thing and pictures of them (especially the drummer of course), and blah blah... It's really fun, but it gets you so excited and pumped to research and listen and enjoy that it drains you in the very end... Or that's my version, really. I wish I could talk to MP about all that. :3

It's kind of funny to see non OCDers talk about it. He's not 'suffering through' it. It's not a hardship or anything. In a very general discreption it just probably makes him more of a perfectionist.

From other cases that I've known from a few friends, some of them consider OCD as a chronic problem that they cannot seem to lose. It's sad at times. I've seen it go so far as to cause anxiety. It seemed pretty scary. But no doubt Mike would benefit from it, which is already evident in his musicianship.

I have OCD... It's not as bad as some people make it out to be. Although anxiety attacks = 3
OCD is not when you have obsessions with things (such as movies, bands, etc.). An OCD obsession is a worry- something you don't want.

How severe are Mike's symptoms? I've never heard that he had OCD. . .
