I say we should avoid. China is a communist government, and not only that but things are so unstable over there. and think about this... would we go to the Olympics in North Korea or Iraq or Hati or Venezuela? I think not

Honestly, as strongly as I feel about the situation in Tibet, I don't think the U.S. should withdraw athletes from the Olympic Games. These athletes have been training for years, and this is supposed to be a time where all the athletes should be able to gather and compete, regardless of the politics.

More like Shelter. b***h. stare Oooo anti-Americanism...how refreshing. Back to the topic. Since China has several billion of our dollars in reserve and can severely damage our economy if they let it all hit the market, we can't take a strong stance on China. Boycott the opening ceremony/nationalist propaganda circle jerk and go to the games.

Ok I am sorry but this one is ludicrous(no offense) but just because their views are different than ours, everyone else is "sucking it up" and going, just because some believe that we are the policemen of the world, we shouldnt say that just because your different were going to be disrespectful, it has serious international implications ( 1980 it was the Soviets i can understand that one) but China cmon!
