Kiara contemplated her problem. Well, now what? She had no patience for pups right now, for she was too busy attempting to win her alpha's affection and secure a place for herself at his side. What did she care for the whelp of some unknown female? The only pups that would appeal to her were her own, when she had them. She prayed that those puppies would be of her King's blood, strong and capable.
So the problem of this growly bundle of trouble needed resolving, and quick. She couldn't just get rid of the thing... her lord had given her the task to see that he grew to be a contributing member of the pack. But she was no nursemaid. Which left only one option.
Rising to her paws, she snapped a bark, an order in tone and word, at the pup. "Stay here. I'll be back, and I had best find you where I left you. Here." With a warning glare, she left the den, loping with long strides through the rocky land.
But where to find a she-wolf strong enough to hold up under her lord's rule, but minded for looking after pups? After a pause to consider the lay of the land, she turned her nose towards more open territory and set off at a ground-eating pace. She'd find a suitable nursemaid, and she'd find one fast. Too much was at stake fo rher personally to fail.

Riko had been unable to find something to eat for a few days. She was looking forward to running into something edible, and at this point she would take anything. She was walking along a path sniffing out an old rabbit trail hoping that it would lead her to a newer one...but she had been following it for who knew how long with no new scent...it had probably been eaten by something else already. She walked through a bush and was on the border of the trees opening out to a low clearing. She lifted her head and sniffed for anything edible. With a wind change she smelled another wolf. She smiled. Maybe she could take that wolf down and have herself a meal with that...though what if the pack it belonged to sought revenge? She frowned and looked around for it, hoping it looked like it didn't belong to any pack. She saw a female wolf running through the grass and trees...she looked in a hurry but Riko wanted to take her chances.
She set off quick as her hunger ridden legs could carry her at the she-wolf hoping to catch her in the side and get the advantage on her and take her out quickly. I hope this goes how i want it to...i don't know if i have too much energy to fight back too much.

Out of the corner of her eye, Kiara saw movement. At first she ignored it, for there was always something moving hereabouts. But it was drawing nearer, so she slowed and turned briefly. It was another wolf, very clearly aiming for her. Puzzled and curious, she slowed and stopped, turning to wait for the other to catch up to her. Swiftly Kiara noted the lean appearance and weakness in the other's gait. Could this one be looking for a handout?
It did not do to appear too submissive before such a weakling wolf, though. Kiara's haunches did not touch the ground, and she raised her head and tail, lip curled back faintly from her teeth. She didn't, quite, growl. But she made it obvious who was in charge here. "What are you doing on my lord's lands, stranger?" she challenged.

Riko had gotten close enough to see that the wolf she had planned on attacking was way above her rank, and was stronger and in better shape. She heard the question she asked her and realized that she wasn't going to attack her but maybe she could tell her where she could get food. She stood in front of the other wolf with her feet braced and her head low with her own snarl. She didn't growl at the other one cause she wasn't growling back. "I was off the border over there but i saw you, i didn't know if you were leaving the territory so i thought you could tell me where i can get some food and i'll be off your land." She said keeping her eyes on the other she wolf. If the wolf was part of the pack that lived here then why was she in such a hurry. Riko felt her stomach growl again and she forced herself not to grown in hunger.

Kiara's ears twitched this way and that as she listened to and examined this female. The prospect was qutie tempting. Might as well present the offer, for what had either of them to lose? Well, the purple female might lose her life, if she wasn't careful around her lord, but that was neither here nor there. Only time would tell.
"Our pack could use someone of your... needs," she phrased it delicately. "I currently have a task that I need someone to do, and you seem a likely candidate." She paused to gnaw between her toes in a casual fashion, before turning her cold gaze upon the starving wolf again. "We will accept you in our pack and see that you are fed, in exchange for a single task." She threw a sidelong glance at the leaner wolf. "Does this sound like something you might be interested in? Because if not, I can keep going in search, and leave my alpha to deal with you." A feral flash in her eyes was the only indication she might enjoy that just as much. "So what do you think, stranger?"

Riko looked at the other she wolf and thought about it. Did she want to be part of a pack? Was that really like her? Her stomach growled and she liked being a live so yes, the pack life was good for her right now. She looked at the wolf. "What do i need to do?" she asked her. She didn't really care, when she was fed she was strong and tough and quite able to stand up for her self. She was just hoping she would be able to eat plenty before she needed to do anything...cause she wasn't sure how much longer she could stand doing things with out food. "And will i be fed first?" She asked. "I'll join and do what ever you need me to do as long as i get some food in me, and soon if thats not too much to ask?" If she was going to be a subordinate to this female then she was going to treat her with respect like she needed to as long as she did in return.

Kiara snorted in satisfaction, standing again with head held high, mutely asserting her dominance over this lesser female, though not with aggression. She was a packmate now, and Kiara would see to it that she wasn't neglected... so long as this female obeyed. "Come with me to the den first. Your task will be to look after a pup that has found his way to our packlands." She turned to trot the way she'd come, clearly expecting the other to follow. "We can catch something for the both of you to eat on the way there."
So there, that was settled. Yet another member, though lower rank, for her lord to rule over. Better still, though, a substitute caregiver for the little mutt. Kiara was not the motherly sort at all. She was more concerned with rising in power and keeping that power. She had no time for raising young, not yet anyway. Perhaps the time would ome... much later. For now, their pack needed to grow in numbers of adults, not useless pups. "I am Kiara, and our alpha relies on me heaviest." She sent a warning look back at the thin female, indicating her claim to the top spot. "You may report to me if there is a problem or a need that you cannot handle yourself." With a final snort, she continued to lead the way to the den.

Riko followed her towards the den. She watched the other female and nodded as she spoke. "I understand. I'm not familiar with pups but i'm stern and i like to tell others what to do. And a pup is fresh and open to teaching. If theres anything that the leader wants taught especially then let me know and i'll make sure the pup learns that. My name is Riko and i'm glad to be part of a pack now." she said as they walked. She couldn't wait to catch something soon when they found it.

And i'll put it in a journal when i make one for her but her name is said like Ryko but with an i ^__^))
