I don't care if you played it in band, jazz band, choir or orchestra.... What's the absolute worst song you've ever had to preform??
Choir:
Right now we have to sing a hairspray medley... It's terrible...
Our last concert had beach boys medley in it... Ick...
Last year we had to sign the choir arrangement for 'Hey Ya'... Not pretty...
Band:
Mallet Maniacs sucked...
And also, we had to watch the seventh grade preform 'Get'cha head in the game' from HSM... That sucked... Bad...

my orchestra songs are usually fine.... BUT chorus is another matter
right now we're singing Embraceable You! and yes, it's worse than the title implies.
Cry me a river, in the mood, kickin' it up a notch, blues in the night.
We also sang the shoop shoop song which was fine.... it was just the choreography that went along with it that was horrendous. Imagine... 70 girls on risers in an auditorium. Every time we had to move to do what she had choreographed the rises squeeked.

Pomp and Circimstance. The drum part consists of: flam, flam, flam flam, flam, flam, flam, flam, flam. I can play it in my sleep. The worst part is we have to play it every year until we are the ones graduating.
ON the other hand, we are playing Blue Shades by Frank Ticheli right now. It's probably my favorite song that we have yet to play.

We also played a High School Musical medley. Eh, it was okay.
Last year, we played Scooby Doo. Stupid dog.

our clarinets were starting to sound like dying geese, euphoniums were like screaming baby elephants.......
mallet section....didn't know half their music....

we had to play ukranian bell carol...
not a bad song until 63 of the 78 measures u play r exactly the same thing...over and over and over again
wasnt fun... xP
another one... spirit of the winds
pretty song to listen to...but not much else
the flutes all died cuz of that song...

What song in band sucked..... "starts to laugh manically and bang head against the wall" IN THE MOOD. That jazzy piece of crap SUCKED!!!!!!!!!

Yeah by Usher. We play it as a stand tune and the tuba/ sousa part is b flat, b flat b flat, b flat, b flat b flat... THE WHOLE TIME. It sucks but the song is ok to listen to. It makes it easy to jam out though! biggrin

Our band show this year is the incredibles and the guard work we have to do is like crazy. by far one of the worst but not as bad as last years show which i wouldn't even know what to call because it always changed names but it was a medley of songs from tribal and latin america.

One year, all of the bands at my school played the music of pirates of the carribean except the symphonic ( i don't know exactly why. Guessing it was because they couldn't play it . . .) But the beginner band killed the music so badly. crying
I guess the worst song we ever played was 867-5309/Jenny. It's not a bad song it's just no one worked on it over the weekend.
