Sorry I agree with Queen here. You don't value what you don't have to put effort into.
A free education doesn't mean it's less of an education. If college was free, everyone would have the same opportunity to learn and better themselves... but it doesn't mean everyone would get a Ph.D. They still have to
pass their classes.
Many people don't have the opportunity to go to a university because they are financially incapable. Yes, there are scholarships, grants, and financial aid, but with budget cuts and cuts in public education, financial aid won't be able to cover half of a student's finances. And loans? You'll be over 50k dollars in debt... at least.
Everyone should have the opportunity to reach an achieved status through education, instead of struggling in an ascribed one due to lack of money.
