She wasn’t quite sure what to do, this world was a new one to her and she was still getting use to the sand beneath her paws. She hadn’t been caught yet though then again she hadn’t really met many other lions other than Vuvi. She met a slave though and that had torn her heart into two. How could anyone treat another lion as they did their slaves? Oh how she wished to free them but somehow she knew she wouldn’t be able to though it wouldn’t stop her wishing that she could.

Today she had decided it would be worth going for a walk, not too far but far enough that she wouldn’t have any issues doing what she wanted for a while. Sometimes she thought Vuvi could be a harsh teacher though she adored him. He was after all a good friend... maybe more. She would never admit that publically though. Her feelings were her own to deal with when she wished to and not to bother anyone else with.

Saburi stopped suddenly she hadn’t heard anyone coming from behind her and so this was something of a shock. What was going on?

She turned to see the strange female behind her and was suddenly terrified. The female was much larger then she was and was white with red markings. This was far from what she was expecting to see, she had thought maybe it was Vuvi playing a trick on her but clearly not. Oh no...

“Is there something you want?” She tried to hold her voice in a harsh cold like way, trying to keep it like she had heard others speak. Please oh please don’t fail.

Saburi was now feeling a little worried. The female seemed to know almost instantly that she wasn’t true of the pride. Oh no...

“I am Sab...” Okay it seemed that she wasn’t well wanted.

“Excuse me but if you ask a question you should wait for an answer. I am living with a lion by the name of Vuvimoto. I was not born in these lands but my parents were.” Lie number one. “I can’t help it if my parents wished to leave the lands for whatever reason. Am I to be punished for a mistake my parents made?” She spoke quickly, at least she tried to though in a way that had some power to it.

Hopefully it worked.

Saburi stared at the stranger. Oh no.

“My mother’s name is Rahima. Her father was a pure blood firekin and my father, his name I do not know. He died not long after I was born and it pained mother to talk about him.” Lie number 2. “She did tell us that he was a pure firekin as well.” She just had to hope she could lie well. She had never been good at it and so now it would be something of a pain but she had to try.

“So tell me how do I know you aren’t a rogue. What is your name?” Demanding... seemed like a good idea.

Okay so demanding was clearly a bad idea. Saburi hadn't expected the female to snap let alone pounce her. It was all so sudden.

Saburi tried to move but she wasn't quick enough and so the female knocked her over easily. This was the last thing she wanted to happen. Oh no what was she going to do.

She struggled to her feet and moved back a little watching the white lioness. Oh she did not want to fight. Oh where was Vuvi, why did she go so far?

Ny was about to attack again when she heard her name called and stopped.

"Vuvi of all creatures you keep a tainted beast? Tell me she is no more then a slave to you!" Ny was being demanding but then she always had been ever since being a youngster. This was just something though she was demanding to hear that this lioness was a slave.

"Vuvi..." A snarl was evident in her voice again. She wouldn't fight Vuvi but she wanted him to be sure of her feelings.

"Before Finar-si blessed this pride, our ancestors were nothing but another bunch of pitiful rogues. Should she be punished for one old family member's blood, when it's outmatched by so much more Firekin blood? Punished for her grandparents foolishness in leaving this pride and not returning when the plague went?" He argued, trying to reason with her a justify it, barely keeping his own snarl in check. He hated seeing Saburi down like that. It made his heart clench.

"I'm hoping with training she might be acceptable and she's willing to learn to be a proper member of the Blood...though if she doesn't start learning soon she'll be fit for nothing more than a slave." He spat the last sentence at the lioness in question, hoping Saburi'd remember his warnings that he would have to be harsh if she ever got herself into a position such as this.

Saburi was trying to hold it together. She didn't like hearing those words from Vuvi's mouth even if she knew they would probably come. It really hurt and so she had to turn her head away from them both so they couldn't see just how much it hurts.

Then Ny said something that made Saburi's ears p***k up though it was clear she wasn't going to share whatever it was she clearly knew. So she made sure that what she was presentable before turning back to look at Vuvi.
