Well, that was exciting. Though some fights ended early and others did not start at all due to maybe absence of the other fighter, it is good to see that the rest went on quite nicely. However, due to the neither of those fights having a conclusion, it's time for judging. Three judges will give their decision based on a criteria to see which fighter came out on the top. To remind you of what the criteria is: Quote: - How clear did each fighter make their actions? When you read it, were you able to see a picture of what they were doing? If not, did they at least supply some OOC in their post to clarify more in depth what happened? Grammar and spelling has a small part in this, but if the fighter lacked in either, it becomes a major part. - Which fighter seemed to perform the best with their abilities? Sometimes, this means which fighter had the upper advantage using their skills, but also means which fighter was more clever? Going DBZ will explosions here and there are too cliche in this category, unless the other fighter didn't even try to avoid them. Basically, the fighter's tactics are judged. - Which fighter was more entertaining? - Which fighter was more creative? While the second question above is general in the tactics of the fighter, this is more specific, as in, which fighter did things that you never would have suspected them to do? Meaning, using strategies that were clearly unique. - How often did each fighter post? If they gave an excuse for any absences, then it doesn't count against them much, but if they didn't, count it against them majorly. Expect results within 2 to 4 days. The most you should wait is Friday, but we will do our best to give the results in good time. Keep posted, so for now, use this intermission to roleplay and get any injuries your characters have patched up at the Infirmary, or do some sparring/training to keep up your character's shape. Speaking of that, know that any serious injuries that will take more than three days to heal will carry over to the next round. This means that in roleplay time, there is only a three day break.

Round Two has begun! Check the Matchups thread to see the current pair ups, then get to fighting at your respective areas in the GTB II subforum. Also, there's one other thing I wish to make note of: when you go out of bounds, it doesn't mean instant out. It means a ten count starts. If your character doesn't get back into the ring before the ten count's up, your character is then out. Additionally, if one fighter is already outside the ring and another goes out of bounds, the count is reset. If the ten count succeeds with both fighters out of the ring, then it's a double out, and the fight instantly ends. Winner is determined by judging. A person cannot be restrained outside the ring by something controlled by the other opponent, or else the count stops. The fighter must be remaining out of the ring by their own doing, be it too tired to get up or taunting their time away.

There have been some questions about the current arena for this round, so I will go ahead and fix up the misconceptions. The current fighting area is 200 ft in diameter. There was a typo made. The arena is 100 ft in diameter. That means the space from the edge of the floating platform to the wall of the stands is 100 ft, which is filled with water.
There is nothing under the platform supporting it. The stone platform is constructed in such a way that it floats on top of the water, with about two feet of the platform's height submerged, and two feet above water when still.

Wow, what a second round that was! The combatants faced a new challenge of a tilting, swerving platform out in the middle of a large lake of water, fighting against this new element added to the field to continue to prove who is number one. Unfortunately, the time limit has reached its, well limit, and now judging begins! We're going to be completing judging much faster than last round due to the circumstances, so expect results by the end of Monday. If not, then yet again something has happened, but bear with us, as we'll be doing all we can to get the results out to you quick and on time.

The third round has ended, and like every round, judgments must be made to see who advances and who goes home. I promise that this time, results will come swiftly. Three days is my goal, so do not worry about waiting another week. For now, enjoy another intermission. After the results, the Semi Finals for the Main Bracket will begin, so stay tuned. We're that much closer to appointing GTB's first champion.
