Sorry for the crappy title. I can change it later. ;;>> This thread starts with four, who will probably break off into two groups (and who knows how many characters we'll end up with). Because of this, it seemed easier to just start a new thread, instead of using the same opening in multiple threads. Boys played by Mel: ChanceKasparBoys played by Fishy: AnatuDanteAnd maybe some others later? Please do not enter into the RP without permission. :3

Chance had been spending quite a bit more time at home lately. He had been helping the boys with their homework when they needed it - not everyone can say a parent is good with math - and just changing "me" time into "we" time. Corny perhaps, but everyone seemed to be more contented with life in general for it. Even Emory had felt the effects; on several occasions Morcanth had come looking for the unicorn only to find him out back with the squirrel doing odd outdoor chores. Both were smiling. Another time, Canth had found him in Bri's room. The stereo was blaring and both were dancing. Chance offered his hand to the tabby and twenty minutes later Canth was having such a wonderful time that he could not remember what he had come to ask him.
Apparently, there was no ulterior motive. Despite having only recently returned home brimming with ideas for his latest scheme (this time located in Florida somewhere), in the end it seemed not to matter one way or another to Chance whether Morcanth liked the idea. Little did Morcanth know that it was actually a good idea and not some random work of whimsy, but that is another story. Chance wanted to be there with everyone, and if this new idea would get in the way of that, he decided simply to discard it.
This means, of course, that Chance has been determined to become closer to everyone. Perhaps he felt needy or lonely, or simply came to realize that he has been gone a lot, and has lost touch with current standings. As a result of his presence however, he has come to see a little tension between the brothers Agios and Kaspar, possibly stemming from a difference in the latter's attitude lately.
Tonight, Chance decided it would be a good idea to drag Kaspar out of the house and away from his books (not knowing before hand that he had visited Anatu's shop once or twice to study), and see if he could figure out why two teens that usually got a long so well had been butting heads.
"He comes in whenever he feels like it, without knocking, and pesters me. It's a little difficult to concentrate is all." Kaspar was blushing a little as he continued, "So I found this place that's nice and quiet. It's that one you'd mentioned a while back."
Chance tapped his lip with a finger in thought while Kaspar went back to a plate of spaghetti that he had been working on, twirling the noodles around his fork. "Ah, you mean that coffee shop? Run by... what's his name... he was rather nice..."
"Anatu. His name is Anatu."
Chance looked up at the angel and smirked. "Ah, that was it."
Kaspar made no further comment, the color of his face only just visibly darkening.
"Well... I suppose that's fine. Just don't run up a huge bill, keep your grades up (as if that's a problem), and let us know where you are regardless of if you've taken the car. Yes, you're sharing it, but it's more than that."
"Of course."
"And um... make sure Agios knows you don't hate him. If it bothers you so much just tell him. It'll probably hurt his feelings regardless," Chance could not help but roll his eyes a little at the boy's emotional fragility, "but he needs to know, right? Communication is important if you want to stay close."
Kaspar nodded. He knew all of this already and Chance knew he knew it; it was just as Chance had known it but took his trips anyway, only just recently acknowledging the fact that his absence had left rifts with everybody. But it was just so difficult to deal with sometimes! Sometimes... he just wanted to be alone. Perhaps that was how Chance felt sometimes, that he needed to be alone too? Obviously, Agios did not always understand that. "Thanks..."
"Great," the unicorn grinned, taking a bite out of his burger.
It was vegetarian; Kaspar could not understand how anyone could eat that kind of thing, but well, he was happy enough to eat meat. Chance usually called them "sandwiches," anyway, so it made things easier to comprehend; sandwiches do not always have to have meat in them. "Er, how'd it turn out...?"
"It's a little rubbery," Chance replied after a moment, twisting his lip into a grin to which the angel chuckled. "But it's not bad," he added with a shrug. "The chips are excellent though. You're welcome to one if you like."
Chance's fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. How did they get them so perfect? Kaspar grinned broadly and snagged a handful, barely making a dent in the pile. "I love these..."

Dante on the other hand had been spending more time out than in the estate. Truthfully he hadnt thought much about Chance since the night they had had dinner, though every now and then it had crossed his mind. Currently he was helping Anatu with groceries to take back home and it wasnt much of a burden, since they had a couple other stops to make too. The wolf was beginning to realize how much less lonely life was if you talked to people (duh) since he and Anatu were sort of on a friendlier basis, though it seemed it was working on more than just the tiger as Karauagh hadnt been such a brat for awhile and was starting to be mildly nicer in his own way... And Dante felt mildly obliged to be so back.
He pushed the cart behind Anatu stopping as the tiger inspected some cheese before taking it from the refrigerated shelf and put it in the semi-full cart. Looking at the list the wolf crossed off the cheese and looked at the next item. "It says... Cereal." They had taken a tallied vote before they left on who would eat what kind and who would want what kind so there were a couple of brands down. Personally, Dante liked Fruit Loops, but no one had to know.
"Thats this way." Leading Anatu purred lightly as they went to the cereal isle. It was nice to have Dante helping with groceries so he didnt have to do it all by himself as he normally did since everyone else was busy... Well, except Andrei. He was always nice to go with since he always had a nice warm air around him.
But it seemed Dante was working on his cooler exterior. Giving a curious glance over his shoulder at the other, the wolf's ears perked questioningly, but Anatu started to speak before a question was formed. "What kinds did we write down? I know... Fruit Loops..." He pulled off a box, "Roo wanted..."
"Lucky Charms and Trix..."
"Lucky Charms and Trix..." The tiger grinned pulling a box of each. It was their monthly grocery shopping time, that's why they were stocking. Of course they went sporadically and randomly, but it was easier to just get the beginnings annually.
Dante named off a couple other cereals and the tiger put them in the basket and then they moved onto the next item on the list, and this continued for another good twenty or so minutes, though there was more conversation than usual between the two hybrids. The wolf had been working on reactions and questions finding it helped keep awkward silence from coming between them. It was amazing what you could learn about one from talking, and it just kept amazing him that it was possible to talk in more than just a couple sentences.
Finally, their list was complete and they had gotten everything they had come for. The two went to the check out stand.
Being bid a goodnight by the cashier Dante took several of the bags, combining a couple that really didn't need to be separated so as to make it less of a hassle to carry.
Anatu gave a small wave and thank you before taking the bags he could carry and catching up to Dante, who was waiting a little ways away. "There, now shopping is done for now." He grinned happily.
"Thank god ~"
The tiger quirked an amused brow, chuckling slightly as they walked through the sliding doors out to the sidewalk. It was a decent walk but it wasnt bad, especially since Dante was carrying the majority of the bags, but Anatu found it easier not to mention it since Dante had picked out the ones he wanted to carry. Purring a bit, they had a slowish pace as they walked. Looking around curiously his ear flicked, "There's quite a few people out tonight..."
Dante glanced around too. "There is..." It was pretty much dinner time for most so it was a little odd, but eh ~ everyone ran on different schedules. Speaking of dinner, "What should we make for dinner tonight?"
"Spaghetti. And... Garlic bread... with salad." Anatu grinned at Dante. He figured the wolf would ask since he hadnt done so yet. "That sound okay?"
"Sounds great." Dante smiled back at the other more than happy with that as the meal.

When they were finished with their meal, Chance paid for their meal and a piece of pie for Kaspar that they had boxed up for a snack later on. The angel lead the way out as the unicorn held the doors for him. He was happy to see Kaspar actually smiling without being prompted somehow.
Kaspar turned back to Chance with a little smirk as they headed off down the the street toward the car. Kaspar was driving tonight to keep in practice, though he knew it felt a little strange to Chance. The sidewalk was busy so he kept losing sight of the other. "Won't Agios be jealous?"
Chance blinked for a moment with a blank expression. He laughed, sliding his hand in a pocket, "Psh, no... I know better than to take you out first. We went out last night while you were studying; you didn't even notice!" He took the box with the slice of pie in it away from Kaspar and tossed him his keys.
Kaspar fumbled with the still-warm keys, blushing faintly. He pressed a button and a car winked it's lights at them with a little chirp. "No, I guess not..."

((Sorry ~ Using a bit of the alternate so that Dante will know a little about Kaspar before he meets him and what not xD;; ))
Tail swishing a bit he quietly listened as Anatu talked about an angel who had started to come by the bakery recently which he found mildly amusing because the tiger normally would only talk about a customer if they stood out in his mind and from there, he only normally talked about them once maybe twice.
“And he comes because he likes it being quite so he can study. He always has books to read while he’s there. The first time he came he didn’t realize the time --”
“You seem to be quite fond of him…” Smirking lightly, the wolf gave a sideways glance before giving him a small nudge.
Anatu blinked then gave a small blush. “Oh well, um…Hmm… He’s really nice.” That was all he could think of saying now as his ears went back a little with a sheepish smile. He didn’t have much of a defence against the statement nor did he have much of a problem with it.
Glancing at the bags they carried he watched Dante shift them a little before he looked up an around. Ears perking they twitched slightly as he thought... He had~!
Grinning he nudged Dante and pointed as he spotted Kaspar, "That's Kaspar~!"
Dante's ears flicked as he looked where the other was pointing. He looked at the angel before seeing who he as with..."Hey, wait, Anatu--" It was to late as the tiger had waved to the the angel and called for him, hoping to be spotted.

(( It's all good. :3 ))
Chance was setting the boxed food on the floor in front of the passenger seat when Kaspar heard his name. The angel was in front of the driver's side door. At first he thought it must be for someone else (who would call to him?), but he looked around anyway. Strangely enough, he saw a familiar face through the crowd. Blushing faintly he blinked in surprise and glanced back at Chance, who was watching him with a questioning expression. "Er... it's Anatu..."
He glanced back up again through a curtain of hair and waved back at the tiger with a faint smile. Across the car, Chance was closing the door; he had not climbed in but rather leaned against the door with a forearm on roof of the car. Sheepishly, Kaspar followed suit, closing his door and crossing back over to stand on the sidewalk.
Because he had had his head inside the car, Chance had not been listening to the voices outside. But when Kaspar hesitated at his own door, he had known something was up. He saw Anatu and waved his fingers once at the tiger, a little smirk painted across his features. Kaspar could do a lot worse for himself than Anatu; he seemed like a nice kid.
A moment after he had seen Anatu, he caught sight of his companion, the crowd naturally parting as he followed in the tiger's wake. Chance's grin gave way to a nod as the wolf, laden with groceries, approached. "Hello, Dante."
Hearing Chance speak, Kaspar glanced over to the owner of the unfamiliar name. He recognized this guy, faintly...

Anatu grinned and purred happily as he spotted Chance and gave a cheerful wave. He was familiar... Where had it been... Silently he contemplated before giving a mental 'aha!' It had been that night when him and Dante came in.
Dante's tail swished lightly as he didnt know how exactly to greet Chance... To the others nod he gave a smile of sorts. "Hello Chance." He shifted, the bags rustling as he did so before glancing from Chance to Kaspar who had looked at him.
The tiger looked from Kaspar to Dante quizzically before realizing they'd never met, "Oh~! You dont know Dante. This is Dante and Dante this is Kaspar." He grinned as he beamed at the angel, "We had just been talking about you." Oh...wait... would that be awkward for the other? Hmm... His tail flicked lightly, "Ah-- We were just getting groceries." He gave a pleased nod holding up his couple light bags proudly.
Dante gave a small nod, and a little smile, as Kaspar and he were introduced to each other. "It's nice to meet you..." He would have offered a hand as tradition and just plain manners would call for, but.... his hands were a bit full at the moment...

Chance watched Dante struggle a little with the groceries in hand then glanced back at the car, indicating it with a thumb. "Go ahead and set those down if you want." It was his car, he had every right to offer.
Nearby, Kaspar glanced at Chance and nodded to Anatu. "You too. If you'd like to set them on the car for a bit..." He smiled briefly at Dante; he still did not recognize the name except through literature (of course he was familiar with that Dante!), but something about him he could not put his finger on. He likely would not remember the time he and Anatu had briefly seen Dante and Chance walking down the street, as it had been dark at the time.
Less likely still after Anatu's next comment. "You...were..?"
Chance lifted a brow with faint amusement. It was obvious Kaspar could not find a proper response.
Instead of a reply, Kaspar nodded to Dante and cleared his throat. "Nice to meet you, Dante. Would you, um... would you two like a ride back?" He glanced between the two, then back at Chance, who shrugged nonchalantly. "That is, if you're headed home. It must be awkward walking home with all those bags." Whatever it was about grocery bags, probably the various shapes of all the items inside, but regular (or mall) shopping bags were rarely as awkward, even with how large they could be...

Tail swishing Dante looked from Chance then to Anatu, quietly curious if the other would do so too. Giving a small shrug he nodded slightly murmuring a thank you to Chance. He had no idea how long they would stand awkwardly as Anatu chattered away. Moving he shifted the bags once again putting them on the car. He let the go a moment so he could move his arms, they tended to get stiff being straught for so long.
Anatu just beamed and purred. As for setting the bags in the car, his tail flicked and he glanced at Kaspar then at Dante who had looked at him, then moved over to do so. "Thank you~"
Dante took the bags from Anatu and set them on the car.
As far as Kaspar's response, there really much of a way to reply really. And at the offer Anatu grinned and purred, tugging Dante's arm alittle, "Oh we would ~ Right Dante?" Beaming up at the wolf, his tail flicked.
The wolf blinked slightly as his arm was suddenly tugged, tipping to the side a little and glanced down at Anatu then back at Chance and Kaspar giving a shrug. "A ride would be nice... We were heading home." He knew Chance knew the way, but he didnt know about Kaspar.

Chance eyed Kaspar with mild slyness. "All right, Anatu you can sit up front and give Kas directions." He glanced back at Dante and smirked.
Kaspar was fairly oblivious to any hidden meaning Chance might have. The angel was blushing faintly but happily at the opportunity to help. "We'll be happy to escort you home. But um, I know the way to Anatu's place..."
The unicorn lifted a brow. "That so?" he muttered, but said nothing else.
"Yeah..." Kaspar looked at Dante. "Do you two live together?"
Chance nudged Kaspar for the keys. "Let's get these bags in the trunk."

Dante's tail swished as he watched the interactions midly amused. How cute ~ Looking to Chance he moved so he could get his arm out of Anatu's grip so as to help with bags. He had no problem with the tiger sitting up front.
Anatu grinned happily as he didnt know whether to help with bags or not...
The ears of the wolf perked as he looked from Anatu to Kaspar at the knowledge that had been shared that Kaspar already knew the way... curious... He smirked lightly as he pulled several of the bags from where the were moving to trunk of the car. "Yeah, we live together." He gav e a small glance at CHance seeing as he didnt say he knew where they lived too... And who else lived with them. (xD)
"Kaspar took me home one night from the bakery ~ It was very kind of him." Giving a nod the tiger continued to smile and purr contently.

While they put the bags in the trunk after Kaspar had given him the keys, Chance was greatly amused. Knowing Kaspar, either it had been very late that night and he was responding to his own sense of chivalry, or Anatu had been laying the charm on thick. It was probably the former, unless the tiger had offered him sweets... it was a wonder Kaspar had not been carried off by some stranger in a van promising candy when he was a kid. Chance smirked at that thought, amused but knowing Kaspar had a little more sense than that. Putting the last bag away, he shut the trunk with a satisfying light slam. "Mind the floor, Anatu. There's a box with pie in it in the front seat."
"Ah, yeah..." Kaspar grinned. "I was full but Chance got me a slice of apple pie anyway..."
Chance shrugged. It was not as if he was being particularly generous - maybe he was, but he knew Kaspar would eat it later tonight anyway. "Shall we go?" He glanced around at everyone, lifting a questioning brow at Dante and his curious look. It was news that he and Anatu lived together, but it was not surprising. Everyone seems to have a lot of roommates these days.
"Probably a good idea." Kaspar looked back to Anatu and took his arm lightly, guiding him to the front passenger's seat and opened the door for him.
Chance grinned and opened the back seat for Dante too, leaning lightly on the door.

Anatu's ears perked as he gave a small nod so to show that he had heard what Chance said about the pie. Mind drifting a little he just ponhered the fact that he enjoyed making pies ~ The dough was fun, but quite tempramental... "How kind of him ~" He grinned in Chance's direction.
Dante smirked lightly at Anatu's praise... Buying pie was never quite an imposition, especially at a resturaunt, but he guessed it was the thought that counted?
At the idea of leaving he shrugged. How long could a group of people, awkwardly matched and only speaking at the moment as it seemed because of Anatu having waved and lead the way over, mingle and talk? Not that he minded really... except for the fact it was past dinner time...
"Sounds good to me ~" Anatu grinned and purred as his arm was taken, being led to the front passenger's seat, and he couldnt help but beam as his door was open for him. "Thank you ~" Moving he stepped to the door and got in, taking his seat though careful of the pie at the same time.
The wolf moved the his door where Chance awaiting him. He couldnt help the smirk the played at his lips, "Thank you, Chance." Moving he smoothly got in the car taking his seat, tail flicking lightly to come to a rest across his lap.
((Dante's starting to feel a bit awkward and out of place ~ xD ))

"You're very welcome," Kaspar nodded with a grin. Once Anatu was situated, he closed the door then rounded to the other side. Perhaps the others weren't having as good a time, but this was a bit fun... He realized he did not get out much, or he might have found this terribly mundane and even a little silly.
Oh well.
Chance replied to Anatu's praise with a flash of a grin, though the unicorn had no illusions that the tiger would even notice. His reply to Dante was a bow and a smirk accompanying the inevitable, "You're welcome, Dante," followed by the closing door.
Kaspar made sure everyone was seated comfortably and belted, then with a brief uncertain glance at the pair in the back pulled out into the street.
Chance was sitting, relaxed but distant, as if he were thinking hard on something. Probably if they had not already eaten he would have suggested Kaspar stay. It was obvious to him how attached to Anatu he was. As for Dante... well, who knew about him. Wondering never got him anywhere. Even so, he found himself glancing over at the wolf for a moment before turning his attention on where they were going.
(( good thing he'll soon be alone and eating soon enough, then. xP ))

((It reminds me of playing house ~ 8D
Kaspar and Anatu anyways xD Makes me want to go one of those plastic kitchens o: x3
-had sudden images of Anatu and Kaspar in matching aprons- x_X; x3 ))
Anatu was having a terrific time ~ He wasnt accustomed to being 'doted' on, though opening a door really wasnt all that much, but either way, it gave him a nice warm fuzzy feeling on the inside. Purring he watched Kaspar move around before glancing in the mirror at the two in the back... Ehh ~ They'd be fine.
Dante rolled his eyes, his smirk growing ever so slightly at the bow... Nice ~ Tail flicking, it moved off his lap to the side by the door. He hadnt wanted to get it stuck, that would've hurt. Quietly he leaned against the door ever so slightly as he watched ahead of the car, though Anatu made a better door than a window for sure.
Ear flicking lightly he glanced at Chance a moment... He wasnt sure, as usual, how to react... It seemed Chance had made it pretty final at their last meeting. Hmm... he decided not to dwell on it and looked back out his window...
Tail flicking lightly Anatu looked in the mirror once again and frowned lightly... This just WOULDN'T do... Hmm... Glancing around the tiger tried to think of something. To make them talk or communicate, touching.... Oh goodness! What a great idea! Suddenly he beamed mischievously. (It wasnt often you could see Anatu like this by the way...)
Shifting, he casually and nonchalantly leaned over to rest his cheek to Kaspar's shoulder. (Dont do this on a regular basis, especially with easily fluster angels ~ 8D ) Purring lightly he smiled leaning up a little to whisper, almost inaudibly to the angel.
"I need you to swerve to the right..." It seemed Kaspar scared a bit easily so he didnt want to yell 'CAT' or something and freak him out and then like... crash the car, "The goal is to make Dante topple." Anatu knew a small amount about Chance and he had made the connections that he and Dante had had a couple run ins and 'sleep overs'. "Ill tell you when ~" Grinning he rested his head against the others shoulder a moment before leaning back into his own seat beaming as if nothing had happened.
He knew it would look suspicious but it mattered little. After a moment of silence, Anatu's ears perked as his eyes widened. "CAT!!!" He pointed straight out the window, though totally faking. It was night so no one would notice it wasnt actually there ~
