ok I have heard absolutly nothing about a 3rd movie but I made this thread to ask you guys what would you expect from another movie?
me, all I would want in another movie would be more batou shooting action and tachikomas...

I've discussed this subject with someone that I cannot remember. There is absolutely no point of making a new movie. Why? After Innocence the story was over and it'll ruined a great genre if they make and try to do something of the left over parts of the movies.

I have heard rumors about a 3rd GITS movie...but that's all I take it for. I mean, what's the point? I think that two movies is enough.

After Innocence the story was over and it'll ruined a great genre if they make and try to do something of the left over parts of the movies. That was me. I agree that a third movie is pointless after the resolution of Innocence, but I do believe its possible for Mamoru Oshii to surprise me.

If that happens, it will be again like Stand Alone Complex another 'what-if' Unless they take some cool story from the second manga

well to be quiet honest... I'd rather have him make a movie of some of his other works like intron depot...

i also agree that a 3rd movie would be over kill and it would ruin a classic.
i was opposing the second movie, but at least they didn't stray off the first movie much.

A third movie would kill it. Nothing more about it.
But something just crossed my mind. What if they made a movie that was like a 1 1/2 that told about Motoko's journey after the 1st movie? I would go for something like that, definatly.

I would go for something like that, definatly. yeah, i was against the whole 3rd movie thing, but one in between the first and second is definitely a good theory. I'd watch that for sure.

though the second manga is different story from the first so they might take some ideas like have those Pasadion(sp) Industries and whatnot

Nah, I think it was good for just 2 movies..I thought they really didn't need teh second one. They would be over doing it with a 3rd movie..kinda like the series >.> <.<...
