Have you ever had any injuries caused by your MA training? (I don't mean fights outside the dojo wink ) Anything serious?
I didn't have any (serious) injuries caused my training, but I did have something twice which caused that I couldn't train properly (sprained elbow during an exam, and Pfeiffer beginning this year... Couldn't train for about a month, but then I just had to begin again...)

Ha! It's like a post just for me....Yea, in the old guild I would always talk about my injuries. I'm like the most accident prone person ever.
My injuries right now aren't from training. They're from falling on ice, and a fight I had with some kid. (Joking fight, wasn't a I'm mad and you you're mad at me fight. It was a I'm like 100% positive you could kick my a** in a Judo match fight.)

I havn't gotten any injuries but I have a funny story about an injury. It was the first class at my kung fu club and a lot of the new people to the art like me or people new to martial arts in general were waiting for our instruction. Khai, our teacher, was putting us through conditioning training at the time. He was showing us how to do finger pushups to strengthen our grip and other benifits. However, after 2 finger pushups he had a grunt of pain. So all the new students were scared when he said calmly, "Wow, I think I broke my thumb". This scared almost everyone of us when and made almost all of us afraid to do the finger puchups. He was fine with a sprain and it gives us funny memories for life.

I was doing a flying kick -- cant remeber exactly which one the aim was to hit the person at the other end of the hall who was holding a kick shield, I totally mashed it up and ended up falling..and hitting my head..I got concussion and I damaged my eye---got a cavity of some sort in the jelly of my eye so when I move it I am left with a black dot hovering around in my field of vision-- pain in the a**! concussion seems to be faiding out at last though! and other than that.....yep get lots of bruises from sparring...but hey thast comes with practicing ma's

LELIE The eye thing sounds bad Bahvanta... sad Does it bother you when you fight? Or are you used to it by now? oooo it was bad but I am getting used to it now! Most of the time I don't notice it...just randomly starts moving round in my field of vision every now and then..which makes me feel dizzy and a bit odd..especialy after a nock to the head or something!

Bahvanta Marty Nozz Broken hand, broken rib, bruised kidneys, concussions, closed nerve in my face... Ah, memories. Boy, that was a fun weekend. Kidding. xp jesus christ OUCH! gonk Heh. Do this as long as I have and you get a laundry list of boo-boos. Althouhg Pengy definitely takes the prize. Oh left, add a wrenched knee to the list. The karate demo today was a rough one. Praise the lord and pass the advil. If you want a good list, ask the guys here how many times they've been kicked in the stones. I got it twice today. I swear, if I have kids, they'll be stupid. xp
