Until now.

Origin: Malik Ishtar grew up deep beneath the golden sands of Egypt. Living with his father, older brother (Not related by blood) and sister. His mother had died in childbirth, and so left his father to fall into a deep and long-lasting depression. It seemed that his father blamed Malik for his mother's death, and was rather cruel to him as a child. At the age of ten, Malik went through a ritual passed along the Ishtar family bloodline called "The initiation of the Tomb Keepers" and with this ritual had the secrets of long lost Egypt and the pharaohs carved into his back. When he received the tomb keeper's initiation and was tattooed, Malik created a second personality to deal with the pain and agony of the ritual. This second personality having an obsession with pain: he was a vent through which Malik's pain was shunted and is a textbook example of sadistic personality disorder. Overall, Malik is most likely suffering a form dissociative identity disorder, more commonly known as suffering from multiple personalities. However, this second personality doesn't seem to surface much anymore..

After living most of his life underground in Egypt protecting age-old secrets of the pharaohs, the man named Malik Ishtar was finally able to surface and become a part of the bustling and somewhat dark world that lived above him. He had never imagined this place to be even darker than the place he'd lived before this, and sometimes he greatly wished to return to that place he'd lived before with his small family. At first, the world scared him. It was rather frightening moving to a crowded, noisy, and deteriorating city full of strangers that all stared at him as if he were unnatural. His clothes weren't fashionable, and his hair was messy and unkempt, the color of the very sands of Egypt themselves.
Although to some he was an exotic beauty, with bronzed skin and unnaturally colored lavender eyes he had attracted much attention, male and female alike. It was his sister, who had been allowed to wander the city above and learn of modern and foreign things, that taught Malik all he needed to know about the small world. Simple things like what was "in" or "popular." However, such trivial things didn't really matter to him at all. He'd eventually blend in to these crowded streets as if he'd always existed there amongst them, a quiet stranger.

Personality: Normally relaxed and calm, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I love talking to new people, and I'm naturally flirtatious. So, sorry if you feel like I'm coming onto you, I'm just really friendly. <3 But what's mine is mine. D<

Age/birthday: 18/December 23

Naming: The name "Malik" means "king" which is fitting, seeing as he has a slight god complex.

"Ishtar" is taken from the Mesopotamian deity Ishtar, the goddess of fertility, love, and war. Ishtar was above all associated with sexuality: her cult involved sacred prostitution; her holy city Erech was called the "town of the sacred courtesans"; and she herself was the "courtesan of the gods" and had many lovers. -Cited from Wikipedia.
