Dunia had finally begun to settle herself in the Maziko's lands. It was far from what she was used to, but what else could she do? While she wasn't crippled from her injury, it certainly made it difficult for her to run now. Blasted hyenas sure knew what they were doing, huh? The lioness sighed as she pulled herself up. She was determined to keep at it, though, and go on as many walks as she could. She wasn't going to let herself get flabby from a lack of movement. She was still vain enough to care about her features, even with a giant scar across her left hind leg.
It was destined to be a short walk, though, as she quickly felt too stiff to move anymore. With a growl, she gingerly settled herself down where she was to rest, her blue eyes scanning the horizon that led to the outside world. Where she lived did feel like it's own world in itself, but there was a certain charm to it. And at least the pride members here were kind to her.

So he was around here again. Makani didn't quite know why, he just was. Perhaps an itching feeling to find a hyena to race, iff only ebcause one of th greatthings about being a cheetah was that he could outrun just about anything, so long as it didn't insist on the chase for too long! and hyenas di'n't usually bother for "so long".
However, what he found was not a hyena. Just.. more pleasant. "Dunia! " The cheetah said loudly, perking his ears to the paleish brown form ahead, picking up pace untill he reached her. "Fancy seeing you again, " He smiled; hadn't seen this one since before 'the kids'.
---
Her ear twitched as she heard a familiar voice call her name. She turned her head to notice the lovely cheetah that she had befriended a while ago. She smiled, feeling a little less frusterated and a little more pleased with life. It was funny how easily one thing could make you feel.
"Indeed! I feel like I must say the same for you," she said with a purr. "Though, I will admit that it's a pleasure to see you again." She really did like him. He played his cards so well, it was always something to look forward to; the chance to see him again.
---
"Highly doubt you're happy like I am, I haven't had a good conversation in a while. " No, not at all. Xippi was hyper and Loki was stll a dolt. Freya was still nice and all, but there isn't much to say after you see eachother so often, and you have kids too. It was refreshing to see Dunia because at least he was sure she was jut as good at the game as he was.
"How have you been? No hyena trouble, I hope? " And ironically he'd come to find trouble with hyenas.
---
The lioness laughed at his statement. Oh? She had no idea what he had been up to, but she didn't much care, either. She cared more about what he would do right now than what he had done in the past. She curled her tail around the side of her body as she let herself settle down for a little fun.
"Thank goodness, no. I'm quite frightened of them now, to be honest," she said, a shy look over at the area where they normally resided. "It seems like they are keeping to themselves for the time being."
She shifted her forepaws a bit, wondering just how much she should say about how she had been. "I have been alright. Life has been giving me a smile, and I in turn shall offer a smile to you. It's a great surprise to see you again. May I assume you have recieved the same treatment?"
---
"Aww, don't worry. I've yet to meet many smart hyenas, someone like you can outwit them no problem. " He winked, swishing his tail behind him.
"Oh yes, alls been fine. " He didn't usually tell people about other females, especially not if he knew of any kids. Dunia would be no different, probably. "Came around here to race, found no hyena for the job. Your much more pleasant, though. "
---
So sweet! "Well, you can say that, but most of them have no brains and merely use physical force." Her giant scar was enough proof of that. She wore it, not with pride, but as a survivor from the brutes.
"Well!" she said, feigning a bit of hurt. "I would sure hope that I am better than a hyena!" She pretended to be hurt, but in such a manner that was just a bit over the top, and easy to see that she wasn't meaning it. But really! Maybe he wasn't telling the truth, but she never saw hyenas in a good light. She didn't care about them until the attack, but afterwards she decided that they were hethans. Or, well. Just something that wasn't good.
"I'm sure I could always entertain you in a better manner," she said, her grin soon returning.
---
"Of course you are! " He chuckled, headbutting her shoulder playfully. He'd caught onto the fake hurt, if it HAD been real, he wouldn't have reacted this.. uh. cooly. "Just sometimes when you have light feet, you want to use 'em. I am a bad bad boy, see. " He grinned.
"Oh? And what do you have in mind? " Makani quirked a brow.
---
She purred, catching his head with a nuzzle when he had playfully butted her. "Sounds like you're quite the showoff with your skills, then hm?" She couldn't help but tease him about it, mainly because it was against hyenas! She chuckled to herself as she thought about it. Males were similar, but at least he was thoughtful towards her. That mattered to most.
"You need to ask?" she said with a wink. Really! Maybe she wasn't being upfront enough with what she said, but sometimes teasing was the best part of it all.
---
"When you got it you flaunt it, " He purred. "You should try it sometime, little miss gorgeous. You know, I bet if you didn't live here, you'd have males at your heels, " He grinned.
"Ah, you have a point there. Maybe I'm loopy today. "
---
She picked herself up onto her feet, stretching out her limbs slowly. Felt pretty good, at least her leg didn't hurt as much anymore as it had. She let herself slowly walk around Makani, if only because he had metioned that she was gorgeous. It really pleased her.
"You are far too kind," she said, the words carrying a strong meaning. She believed in that. "But thank you, Makani." She offered a small purr for him, pleased. "And loopy? Never. Perhaps your mind is just full of others things, is it not?"
---
"How can one possibly be too kind? " He teased. "Kindness makes people happy. Now, if I WEREN'T kind, then you should worry! " The cheetah watched her walk around him for a moment.
"Maybe a thing or two. " Two, yes. The exact amount of kids he was in charge of. "So, wanna go for a walk? A change of scenery might be nice. " not to mention, he had been walking around hyena territory to find one to race-- he wasn't interested anymore, but those damn things held vendetta's and probably wouldn't mind tracking him to the lion side of the graves.
---
"I would love that," she said softly. "As long as I can keep up with you, anyway." She couldn't help but giggle at that, since it could be taken in multiple ways. What she really meant was that her leg would force her to be a little bit slow, but she was sure that Makani wouldn't mind.
"If you lead the way, I will follow you," she nodded, waiting for him to take the lead. It would be a pleseant day after all, and Dunia was glad. She needed a good distraction from her thoughts.
