We are strong, We are warriors Our claws and blades will not waver Our Lives are to serve our Protected We will not allow their bloodshed Shall a threat rise we shall strike until it falls We are Guardians. Sweat. Sweat and Dragons. That was the first thing he noticed. This was their way the Protected chose them as Guardians. In a way they chose who they would protect as well, though most Dragons failed to notice. It was in his blood to do this. The call of the Maltese. He stood with the other male tigers, all White or Maltese. They were bare from the waist up for the Dragons sight. The Dragons came up to them and made them prove themselves in some form. Yet none had come up to him. This confused his pack-mates, for he was the leader of them, an Alpha of sorts. He was the most powerful and not just in strength alone. He was revered and respected. Unlike a few others who would gladly go back home to their mates if not chosen he would feel a loss. He knew that there was one out there he was to be Guardian for...but he had not yet met them.

Moko giggled holding her Guardian's hand. "so So.. will I see a real tiger Darius?!" she asked, happily.
Darius chuckled low. Yes.. you'll get to see a real tigers Princess Moko." he purred.
She squealed. "I can't wait Darius!!!" she stated, skipping around.
Darius shook his head. He held her hand as they walked to the entrance and got in.

The dragons in another room were in the meantime were discussing. "What of the Maltese closer to the right end? He would be a fine Guardian." "The large one?! No! Out of the question I will not let it rumored I cannot defend myself." One of the other dragons snickered. "He is rather...well defined isn't he?" "Such qualities would do well in a different environment, surely. But I doubt the Tiger would approve such...persuasions. He seems quite the dominate type." "What of you Tristan? You're still in need of one." "Not that one!! I will not have my mate tempted to stray!" For one reason or another the Dragons didn't want the Maltese, none realizing another was listening to the groups conversation.

Darius tilted his head as he held the tired Moko. The dragon's talk got him thinking. This.. tiger.. this...Maltese sounded interesting for soo many dragons to turn him down. What could make Dragons worry about one simply little tiger? Now.. he was curious. Maybe.... He turned and walked into the Main Event room and found a seat in the crowd, watching the proceedings. He kept his eyes peeled for the tiger the dragon's spoke of. He wanted to see for himself. The Royal family had asked him to take Moko along to represent them and keep an eye on her. Not only that.. but to find the Prince a Guardian. He wore a smirk at the last thought. He let his gaze roam the lined up tigers, his eye catching one on the end. He blinked his indigo eyes as he saw the tiger that the dragon's spoke of. "Wow..." he breathed out. Now.. he wanted to know.. WAS THOSE DRAGONS CRAZY?!!!!! That tiger would make anyone a suitable Guardian and yet.. they passed him right up. He felt sorry for the guy.... it wold be sad for such a beautiful tiger to go home without a Protected. He turned and noticed a youngling in the mix. He frowned. Surely..... he wasn't..... The youngling had to be joking to be here. He was too young from he could tell. He hoped that one went home.
Moko muttered softly and blinked open her eyes and looked up at Darius. "Darius..?" she whispered sleepily.
The dragon smiled softly. "Hello beautiful.. sleep well?" he purred.
Moko giggled. "Darius...I'm awake!" she exclaimed happily. "I'm not a pretty lady!" she huffed.
Darius chuckled low. "Alright.. but you're my little lady." he teased.
Moko squealed and hugged him tightly. Then she turned and squealed louder. "TIGERS!!" She crawled off Darius' lap and bolted down to the railing that held the crowd from the showing.
Darius followed after her and stood behind her his hand resting protectively on her shoulder.
"Wow.. they so pretty Darius!" she squealed.
Darius chuckled. "That they are.. now be good and you might get to see one shift." he purred.
Moko gasped and turned, eyes big. She wanted to see a tiger.

Arykos sighed silently. Two hours and none seemed to notice him. He turned as a movement caught his eye. He blinked seeing the young tiger. Surely a white...but Arykos saw traces of Maltese to him. 'What are you doing here young one?' He thought to the boy
Kristos head snapped up before he realized who had spoken to him. He looked away from the Maltese respectively. 'I am here in place of my father.' he returned.

Darius smiled as the dragons worked their way through.. though sadly The one on the end wasn't getting picked. If he didn't by the time this ended he could ask.
Moko watched bright eyed for one to shift. She soo wanted to see a tiger.

Arykos heard the twinge of sadness in the boys answer. This one had lost his father...'What is your name, Youngling?' he asked.
Before the boy could answer a voice was heard. "Well well this one strikes me more as a page than a Guardian...but perhapses there s some use for him."
Arykos' eyes narrowed at the words and looked to see one of the Dragons approaching the boy.
Kristos looked toward the one approaching before looking down.
"Oh and a shy one at that..." the Dragon stated a sickening purr to his words.

Darius narrowed his eyes at the dragon. He couldn't... he wouldn't...... Darius bit back a growl.
Moko blinked. She turned to look at the dragon. "you okay Darius?" she asked.
"I'm fine princess... don't worry." he replied.

"Well come on, Little Tiger...I want a private session of your...abilities." the dragon said grabbing the Younglings wrist.
Arykos growled and moved quickly. He knew exactly what the man wanted. His golden eyes bore into the mans. "You will not take this boy." He stated.
"What was that?" the draon asked with a growl.
Kristos flinched slightly at the harshness in the Dragons voice.
Arykos did not even blink. "You will not take him." He repeated as he stood, blocking the boy from the Dragon.
A few of the tigers saw the action and watched, several from Arykos' pack.

Darius blinked at the tigers reaction to the dragon. He smirked lightly. This just got interesting....
Moko frowned. "Darius.... what's going on with the pretty tigers?" she asked softly.
The dragon smiled down at her. "Their just teaching a big meanie a lesson." he replied.

"I will do whatever the Hells I please, Tiger. Now move." The dragon said.
Arykos did not buge.
"Stand aside!" the dragon demanded again.
"I will not allow the youngling to be subjegated to the likes of you." Arykos said simply.
Kristos blinked and looked at the Maltese in respect.
"I am a Dragon of the Highest Order, how dare you speak to me like that!" the man was outraged.
Arykos didn't acknowledge the man this time. 'Your name, Youngling.' he requested.
'Kristos...' The young one replied.
'Turn your back to this man, Kristos, This Dragon does not deserve you as a Guardian' Arykos said before doing said action himself.
Kristos nodded and did the same.
The tigers around Arykos of his tribe did the same, others following suit. They rejected the dragon as a potential Protected.

"It looks at though you really don't have a reason to be here anymore Dres." one of the other Dragons said. The one glared at the tigers, his face flushed in embarasment before he stormed out of the room.
"Thank you..." Kristos started to say.
"My name is Arykos, young one."
The boys eyes widened at the name and he bowed slightly. His father had talked greatly of this Maltese
Arykos smiled. "Lets try to find you a worthy Protector." He said turning both of them back to face the dragons.

Darius smiled. He liked that tiger. He had guts and grace. He was perfect. "Moko I think we found what we are looking for." he purred low.
Moko looked up at him, eyes wide. "You find tiger you like?" she asked.
"Yes.. now lets go get him before someone else does." he replied.
Moko squealed in delight. "can you carry me?" she asked.
"Sure." he replied. He picked her up and walked down the railing, coming to the guard. "Allow us to pass. We are here to find a tiger for the Dragon Royal Family per my orders." he stated to man. The dragon blinked then looked at Moko. He gasped and bowed. "Princess.... please come this way. Hopefully you don't mind a little wait." he stated. Darius smirked. Not at all.." he replied.

Ki watched as one of the other dragons was dismissed from the room and she couldn't help but snicker as he left pouting. With a smile now on her face she continued to walk the room. She knew no one here but that was hardly surprising seeing as she had only even gotten to this town in the past eight hours. She walked slowly through the room, her skirts swishing with each step. She really wasn't looking for a guardian but if she found one, and they agreed on terms, she wouldn't mind having some company.
