I think a main problem that we can fix, is the barrier that is between the sexuals and asexuals. It is the understanding of each other, which can sometimes be muddled... This can create hostility, of which some members have experienced and I must admit myself at times. We can't see sexuals as indifferent to us because our sexuality is different - for that is only one detail in life. In the end, we must live with them. Our lives are concentrated with their presence, and their views. It would be better if we tried to not only get them to understand us, but we should be trying to understand them. I suppose this thread, can be for the portion of the guild which is sexual, gay, bi, or straight, to answer the questions that asexuals have.

One thing I notice is if you say you are asexual people think your gay--or at least in my experience. Which is totally not the case. Just because I would rather not participate in sex doesn't mean that I dont' want companionship. I guess I would be called a heterosexual-asexual. In a sence this totally is the opposite, but if you look at it this way, if I see someone walking down the street and he is good looking I'm going to want to be with him in some way other than in a sexual sence. It's all a matter of persepective I guess.

I think that's heteromantic(or hetereoromantic? o.0) according to the sticky in the guild. But I could be off.

Well, I'm bi, and after being in this guild for a while and reading all your information on stuff, I don't think I'm asexual. Or maybe I'm just denying it in attempts to fit in?

I'm bi and I get horny so quick it sometimes hurts. I love relationships but sex is something I don't want to have. Sometimes penises and vaginas scare me, but I'm not sure if I'm just abstinate of asexual.

I've gotten no actual pleasure from anything physical though, so I considered myself to be asexual(I figured horny was hormones >_>).

Then I talked to some other friends of mine and they suggested that, maybe I'm not asexual, maybe I actually do have a problem. And I've been pondering seeing a genocologist(sp.?) since then.
(Yeah, I'm a girl. Screw it.)

Well it could be that you might have a "disorder" mind you I wouldn't say a serious one....not life threatening anyway. Its really what you want to do if you want sex super...if you don't super... I think it's natural to feel sexual, it just depends on if you want to act on it. Chicks get really horney just before they mentstrate...fertility and all.
