This is somewhat like a poetry contest, only it has to be a limerick.
What exactly is a limerick?
A limerick is a five-line poem with a strict meter. The rhyme scheme is usually "A-A-B-B-A".
Example
And let me the canakin clink, clink;
And let me the canakin clink
A soldier's a man;
A life's but a span;
Why, then, let a soldier drink.
And let me the canakin clink
A soldier's a man;
A life's but a span;
Why, then, let a soldier drink.
If you're still not sure, take a squiz at what my good friend Wikipedia says about it.
The Rules:
» There are some really young people in this guild, so please keep it PG-13. If you're not sure if the content of your limerick is PG-13 or under, then please contact one of the crew members.
» You can enter as many times as you want!
» Be nice to your fellow contestants. Unless they ask for honest criticism, don't give any at all.
At the end of the party, we will set up a voting system for you all to vote on your favorite. Whoever gets the most votes will win the contest along with a special prize.
Go for it! Let loose!
