Outside of the very big D-Corp building was a very small little leech boy wrapped in a D-Tech lab coat that he was borrowing from one of the many Techs. They hadn't noticed him swiping it and he would bring it back... eventually. He was sitting off to the side in the shade, head ducked forward and he was seeming to be doing his best not to be noticed by those who were moving in and out of D-Corp. Instead his blue eyes locked on what he was currently doing. He had a large book of blank, rainbow colored paper laid out before him. He was slowly putting his letters on the paper and he had been working very hard on it, making sure all of his letters perfect!
He gave a little smile that showed many pointy teeth as he was able to get through his entire alphabet, both the uppercase and lowercase letters, all without a single mistake. He was most proud of himself for a moment though the joy in his accomplishment was dashed when he lifted his gaze, looking around and found nobody he knew to share it with. Maybe he would show it to one of the D-Techs later? There were a few of them that weren't to bad, talked with him when they weren't busy, and patted him on the head when he did things well.
He closed his book, tucked his pen into his pocket, then rose to his feet to stretch out. The white coat drug in the dirt behind him being many sizes to big, the bottom of it turning a bit brown though he didn't notice. Instead he flapped his arms like a bird, the sleeves that hung way passed his hands making good wings as he forgot his letters for the moment and moved onto a new game. He was a birdy!

Damaris was finally out of classes for the day! She was excited and had some plans to do some painting after school so she wanted to get going. However herding Red out of anyplace he has been sitting or laying in for a while always took time. "Come on Red!" Damaris said impatiently waiting as her lumbering dragon made his way lazily down the hall.
Red thought that she should wait as long as it took, after all it was him she was waiting for.
"Come on Red, I'll give you a snack when we get home!"
Red's interest was peeked at the mention of food so he picked up the pace a little bit.
As Damaris waited for her dragon on the outside she caught a glimpse of something white flapping around in the corner of her eyes, "Hmm?" She turned her head to see the little boy playing around.
Seeing as Red had made her wait, she was entitled to do the same, she headed over to the boy, "Hmm, you're dressed in all white and flapping, are you trying to be a goose, or a swan?" Damaris asked as she aproached him with a smile.

Kliken was making himself dizzy as he ran about in circles, not exactly paying much attention to anything going on around him until he heard a voice very close by. He came to an almost skidding halt, bright blue eyes turning to stare at the girl in wide eyed shock. Was she talking to him? He tilted his head to the side seeming to try to process before he took a step back, hands lifting up so he could hide shyly behind his long sleeves.
"Y-Yes... P-pretending to be a b-bird." He said in a stuttering whisper as he peeked over the white cloth. He wasn't sure what sort of bird he was pretending to be though so he couldn't tell her if he was a swan or a goose.
The little leech stood there, starring at her as his heart started to race in his chest. There was a girl, one who was like him only older and had a dragon and she was talking to him!
He wondered what he should do, he didn't want to scare her off. What did people do when they first met? He thought about what the D-Techs did before he held out a 'wing' for her to shake, "I-I'm... Kliken." He said, introducing himself.

Damaris laughed a little bit and bent down to Kliken's level, "Nice to meet you Kliken, I'm Damaris." She said taking his 'wing' and shaking it with a smile, "And that," She said pointing towards the door with her thumb and looking back for a second, "is Red."
Red saw Damaris off by that boy as he finally came out of the building, he frowned and grunted. This meant that he would have to wait longer for food. Red started to meander over towards the two, taking his sweet time.

Kliken's dark, already red colored skin hid the happy flush that came to his cheeks when the nice girl shook hands with him, "Its... So very nice to meet you." He said, she could never understand how nice it was. He hadn't been brave enough to approach anyone since he came back to D-Corp this last time. Having someone come to him had him so excited his could feel tears building in his eyes.
He quickly scrubbed at his eyes with his sleeves before looking over to the other one that Damaris had introduced to him, "Red...? But... but isn't he blue?" He asked, sounding a bit confused as he watched the dragon that was coming towards him.

"Mhmm, he's a blue dragon. But his name is Red." Damaris said with a bit of a giggle. She knew it was weird and made absolutely no sense, but that's exactly why she named him that.
Red was in distance now to hear the conversation and seemed rather uninterested. Normally he loved it when people talked about him, why wouldn't they want to? However the subject of his awkward name, which he really didn't know why Damaris choose it, ALWAYS came up and he was bored of it by now.
When Red got near the two of them he found a suitable place to sit down and wait for Damaris to quit yammering so that he could go home and eat.

"Ohhhhh, I see." He murmured, eyes going wide as she spoke. She had such a nice voice he thought to himself, nice laugh, nice smile. He found himself listening very intently to each word before he turned his attention over to a blue colored dragon that was named Red.
He waved a sleeve at the dragon, "Hello Red." He greeted him, taking an ever so careful and very slow step forward towards the dragon. While the leech boy wanted to get a closer look at him he noticed at the same time the dragon was quite big, had longs to sharp bits, and a long tail. He didn't want to get to close and chance offending the dragon or get in range of the dangerous bits.
"Never... seen a dragon so close." He whispered to Damaris.

Red continued to lay down while he was aproached, he did however c**k his head in response to the attention and lock his gaze on Kliken. He seemed amazed by him, no surprise, in his opinion he was the most amazing dragon to yet be birthed at D-corp.
"Well you can go and touch him if you'd like, he won't hurt you. I can't say he'd do much of anything, he's pretty boring." Damaris said and stuck her tounge out at Red trying to get some reaction from him.
Red only grunted in response. She always did stuff like this, however he knew she really adored him, just as everyone else should. If she didn't she'd have to be insane. And she'd still swoon on him when he decided she deserved to see him do something special.

Kliken's eyes got impossibly wide at what she was saying, looking back and forth between her and the dragon. Touch him? He could really touch the dragon and see what Red felt like? "R-Really? I can? H-He won't mind?" He asked stuttering again as his emotions got the best of him. He gave a bright smile as he walked slowly towards the dragon. When he got within arms reach of him he pulled up one of his sleeves enough to uncover on of his small hands.
He looked back to Damaris as if making sure that she was absolutely certain that it would be alright before reaching out to touch the dragon. A soft laugh came from the boy as he ran his hand back and forth over one smooth scale on the dragon's side, "W-Wow! Your warm." He murmured in delight.
He wasn't sure what he had expected the dragon to feel like, their skin looked like armor so maybe he thought it would be cold like metal? This was a pleasant surprise.

Hmm, the boy seemed to apreciate his magnificence. Perhaps this child wasn't as stupid as many of the others he had met. After debating this a bit he finally decided that he aproved of Kliken enough to allow him to pet his underside.
Red rolled over onto his back and awaited the belly rub much like a pampered dog would.
Damaris laughed a little bit, "I think he want's you to rub his belly Kliken." Damaris said, she knew to Red it wasn't as simple as a belly rub, but she had learned to brush off her dragons little ego trips by now.

Kliken made a happy sound, moving closer to that he could do as the dragon was requesting of him and set to rubbing the dragon's underbelly, "Your a very pretty color of blue." He told Red more then happy to compliment him since he being allowed the honor of being able to touch the dragon.
He looked over to Damaris before he asked, "Miss Damaris... C-Can... can I hug him?" He asked of he older girl, his voice a whisper as he didn't know if asking to hug a dragon would be something that could be considered as an insult the dragon.

Red laid there content and with an air of superiority as he was pet. Yes, he was a very nice shade of blue, the boy had a good head on his shoulders.
Damaris tried to hold back a laugh when Kliken called her 'miss', "Kliken what're you calling me miss for? I'm still a student too." She said still ending up giggling a bit.
"Uhm, I don't see why not." Damaris said her laughing stopping and being replaced by surprise. She didn't know why the boy wanted to hug Red, but she really didn't have any problems with it.
Red was a little more hesitant about the talk of a hug though. True he liked the boy so far, but a hug just seemed more honor than he had earned just yet. He turned his head towards Damaris for a moment eyeing her for protest.
Damaris though anticipated this and glowered at Red, this little boy seemed enthralled in dragons, and he was out here playing by himself. He seemed very timid as well, she wasn't going to let Red upset him.
Red knew that look, if he didn't comply there would be no supper for him. And while he still thought the boy wasn't completely deserving yet, the threat of no food outweighed that. So he sat there and awaited the hug.

Kliken didn't even seem to have noticed that he had called her 'Miss' then again he was used to be around all adults, nobody close to his age, "S-Sorry... just Damaris then." He murmured, finding it odd to call someone by name without an honorific first.
The boy looked at Red with huge eyes then gave a happy sound, "R-Really? I can hug you? Thank you!" He said, as he leaned against the dragon, wrapping his arms around him the best that he could and let his eyes close as he hugged him, "It must... must be so nice to have a dragon friend all your own."
He realized he should back up before he clung to the dragon to long but he couldn't find it in him to release Red from his affections quite yet. It wasn't often he was allowed hugs so he was going to take advantage.

Red sat there and bared it. He knew if he was nice to this boy then that meant food, and he would be sure to remind Damaris of this, hopefully even get some of the good food. The man at the house never seemed to want to give him the good food, which irritated the dragon to no end.
"Looks like you have a new friend Red." Damaris said with a giggle taunting the dragon. She knew that Red thought much to highly of himself to let people go as far as to hug him, so it was good to try and knock him down a notch every once in a while.
Red ignored Damaris and decided to just wait out the remainder of the boy's affection. He definately was a clingy little one.

Kliken opened his eyes, gazing at the dragon's face for a moment before he finally pushed away from him and smiled, "Thank you." He repeated once more to the dragon. It had been so nice to hug someone and find himself allowed to do so, even when the hug had been a little drawn out.
The little leech boy took a couple steps back to give Red his space then turned to Damaris, "Thank you for letting me hug your dragon." He said, smiling and showing pointy teeth.
He let the sleeves of his lab coat fall down passed his hands again once more before lifting them up to hide behind shyly. She had told Red that he was Red's new friend he thought to himself. He felt his heart start to beat a little faster in delight.
He had a friend!
"Are... are you my friend to Damaris?" He asked after a moment, sounding and looking rather hopeful.
