I've finally finished saving up enough money for my DW book fund. About 160-140 USD in total, and I've found a wonderful Used and Out of Print bookseller online.

So I was wondering what were some of the best Old/Classic Who books that are still around?

Any help would be appreciated!

Prime Time by Mike Tucker is a good one. It's Seventh Doctor and Ace.

Also it's worth trying to find Target books. They are novelisations of stories that were broadcast. I've got three so far.

I've got three Target books, myself.
I've got The Five Doctors by Terrance Dicks, if I'm not mistaken.. and The Time Meddler, and Doctor Who and the Doomsday Weapon.

I'll confess to only having read the first one so far, but it's awesome.

Oh yeah, and I got them at this old/rare bookstore called The Book Rack .. I found out that they are like a little chain of stores, so you might actually know of one.

I haven't got any of those! I've got Death to the Daleks, Kinda and Warriors of the Deep.

As, if I'm honest, I like many of the books more than most of the TV show I could recomend stuff here until the cows come home. To put a limit on things though, I'll just suggest five of the best from the four main ranges of original novels...

Five great NAs...
Sky Pirates!
The Also People
The Dying Days
Lungbarrow
Love and War

Five great MAs...

The Plotters
Cold Fusion
Venusian Lullaby
Millennial Rites
The Well-Mannered War

Five great EDAs...

The Scarlet Empress
Unnatural History
The Gallifrey Chronicles
Alien Bodies
The Crooked World

Five great PDAs...
Festival of Death
Eye of Heaven
The Infinity Doctors
Verdigris
The Witch Hunters

Good luck getting hold of "Dying Days" and "Lungbarrow" at anything approaching a reasonable price... Or you could try the Beeb's e-books first, to see if you liked them. That's where I read them.

Kate Orman's books. smile
Paul Cornell can be a good read too, although I mostly prefer his earlier NAs.

Thanks Everyone! =D

I'll post what ones I get later!

No The Book Rack in my area, just Half-Price Books, sadly.
