Higurashi no naku koro ni is the best anime I have watched in a long time! It is in my top three spot!

^_^ Yes, it is a good series. Unfortunately, all of season one is essentially the (necessary) prelude to season two (where there's some sort of recognizable plot). Season one is considerably more violent, while season two starts explaining stuff. =w= All in all a fantastic series, it certainly stands out from the crowd.
...and I saw a clip of the dub version on YouTube. gonk It was baaad. Though that was to be expected.

Oh I loved this series! It was so addictive to watch, probably got square eyes as I watched the series within 2 days but hey it was worth it XDD
Sadly I didn't think Higurashi Kai was as good =[. It wasn't as gripping as the first season and so I stopped after a few episodes of Kai ^_^; Does Higurashi no naku kori ni Kai get any better after the first few episodes? =/ Cause I thought the first few episodes were... well boring xD; Nothing like the sudden gorey moments that got be hooked in the first season ^^;

Ah, I absolutely love this series! I'm so glad Funi is picking it up; the Geneon dub was atrocious. I never finished Kai though; once the Miyo arch started I lost interest. I'll probably skip it and go straight to the next.

It is a pretty intense series. I was impressed that they were really able to pull the storyline together the way they did. Especially in the second season. I enjoy it.
