The pink and gold rays of dawns light was in the process of peaking slowly over the blue horizon. Adaya lay idly in the soft spring grass, munching softly on a few tender sprigs as she watched in awe. A light breeze ruffled her pail braids, but Adaya sat still as if in a trance by the sight.

He had been up since dark, standing alone and staring at the moon. His favorite part was slowly staring to come to life, his breath came out in soft white swirls. The stallion was caught up in this miracle of life, his brown eyes followed a flock of small birds across the sun's path. Oh, how he craved to be with them. To fly, touch the sky with wide open wings. But sadly, he was grounded with painted wings and forced to watch the sunrise from Earth's surface. Zamir sighed softly, and thought to himself " I suppose it's not so bad. Atleast I can see the sunrise, I can watch the birds fly. God forbid if I ever loose my sight..."

The sound of a sigh let Adaya know she was not alone. She shook her head, the enchanting moment now gone forever. With a slight grumble she got to her hooves and swallowed the grass in her mouth. She gazed around, skipping over the birdlike stallion not too far away who was also watching the sunrise at first. It wasn't until her second scan of her surroundings that Adaya focused on the male. With a short grumble Adaya glared at the male, a sour look on her face.

Short hairs rose on the back of his neck, and he shook himself as a chill ran down his spine. Zamir had an eerie feeling of someone watching him, ears now alert and swiveling around for sound. None came, so Zamir reluctantly tore his eyes away from the sky and turned to survery the lands instead. It took only seconds and he was greeted with the sour look of a mare, causing him to take a step back slightly. " Er...Good Morning, Ma'am!" Zamir called out to her, while taking a few cautious steps forward. Maybe she had a basket or young one around? He knew better then to tango with mothers. As he watched the purple dappled female, a thought floated across his mind. ' She's would be as pretty as the sunset...if she didn't have that look on her face.'

"Hmph..." Adaya snorted as the male called out his greeting. "Well... It was a good morning." Adaya called coldly before turning away from the male. She trudged slowly, making her way towards a stream. Maybe a nice cool drink was what she needed to clear her head. She flicked her tail out of frustration. "A waste of a perfectly good sunrise. "Great..."

Zamir raised a brow at the mare's greeting but shrugged it off. It was early morning, after all, and every soquili sometimes woke up on the wrong side of the grass. He followed her over to the river, though keeping abit of distance, and dipped his muzzle into the cool waters. Taking long gulps, the male looked up and licked the water droplets off his nose. He looked at the mare, he had a hunch from her posture that this mare -always- woke up on the wrong side. " I like them, too..." He said quietly, turning his head back to the sky, then to her again. " My name's Zamir."

Adaya finished her drink and turned to glare once more at the male. Why on hearth would he have followed her. She didn't give any sign that she was the least bit interested in talking to him, yet here he was attempting to engage her in conversation. "Hmph... Odd name..." She muttered as she flicked her tail irritably. "And it would help if you said what it was that you liked. For all I know you could be talking about the pebbles in the stream." She was being rude, she knew it, but it wasn't every day that a complete stranger came up to her and began talking to her.

Zamir showed nothing toward her rudeness, he was determined to be friendly, but he was smart enough to keep his distance. " My apologies, ma'am...I meant I like the sunrise, and sunsets. I noticed you watching it this morning. I enjoy them too." He was persistant in trying to communicate with her, he bent his head and took another drink before continuing. " I haven't met many others here, I'm a bit new." The stallion smiled a gentleman's smile at her, charming like, before continuing. " I was just trying to make...your aquantince" The way this mare acted, he was wiser then to say 'friends'.

Adaya was a bit taken aback by his comment. It wasn't often, in fact this was the first time, that a guy she happened across while she was watching the sun rise actually realized she was watching it and not daydreaming. Adaya's glare softened up into little more than a stare. "Acquaintance made. My name is Adaya." She looked him over for a moment. He wasn't as bad as she had originally determined. "Where are you from originally?"

The stallion smiled softly, and bowed his head to her. `It is very nice to make your aquantice, Adaya.` He could sense her calming down slightly now, though knew better then let his guard down. This mare wasn`t going to stop being mean just because he said he liked sunsets.
Zamir turned slightly and pointed, with a gentle toss of his head, toward the river. I come from a close by river. The view isn't that great for sunsets, so sometime I come out here to catch it. I truly wish I could see it up close, from the air. But...Im stuck on the ground He turned a head in the direction of his back, pointing out the painted on wings. They weren't real and sometimes he cursed for it.
