Brightshadow was wandering through the woods again, her eyes and ears open for any movement in the brush, and her nose searching for any familiar scent. Unfortunately, today she was finding neither her long lost Silverclan nor anyone else she had met while she was in this strange land. She sighed, knowing that she had been traveling closer to where the other Namrah usually hung out specifically because she had become tired of searching alone and would have liked some company, if only for the day.

Nuo was taking a nap on a large branch in a tree. One of her ears twitched at the footsteps below her. She got to her paws and went to see who or what it was. She was careful to stay hidden among the leaves as peered down below.

She was about to turn in the other direction when the rustle of leaves made her pause. Looking up into the foliage, she tried to see what was moving around, but it was staying cleverly hidden among the leaves. She grinned, eager to put her hunting skills to the test. Quickly she darted up the few low branches and into the tree. Once there, she paused again, trying to listen to determine the location of the other being.

Nuo watched as the namir jumped into the lower branches of her tree. Not wanting to meet with the other, she slowly backed up where the leaves were thicker. There Nuo didn't move, hoping the other would leave.

Brightshadow still hesitated, having lost sight and sound of the being. Sniffing at the branch that had been right above her she said, "Wait, I know this scent! Nuo! Where are you?" She peered around at the foliage, trying to catch a glimpse of the shy Namir. "Are you still hiding from people? It's me, Brish!" she called out.

Nuo almost slipped off the branch in surprise. She was still unsure if she should come out, but Brish already knew she was there. So there wasn't much point in hiding any longer. Slowly she made her way out of the leaves so Brish could see her. "Um, Hello," she greeted.

"Hi! Why were you hiding again?" she asked, "You already know who I am, so you should say hi if you see me." Smiling at the other Namir she added, "We still didn't get to finish introducing you to topics of conversation, you know!"

"... Um ... sorry," Nuo said looking at her feet. She would rather be by herself enjoying the day, then learning about topics of conversation. But what could she do to get out of it. Nuo didn't think there was going to be a way to get Brish from not doing it. She let out a sigh.

Brish frowned at her sigh, "What's wrong with learning how to talk to people? We can talk about anything you want: the weather, the trees, different stalking strategies..." She hadn't really meant to say the last one, but it was what she had been planning to practice later that day.

Nuo watched the tree branch as Brish talk, but when she said stalking it made her look up. "Stalking?" she asked in a quiet voice. She was almost afraid to say something since she just knew that would get Brish talking and not leave her alone.

Brish blinked, "Stalking? As in stalking prey: trying to stay close to the ground, keep your weight on the right parts of your paws for different prey that sense different vibrations in the air and ground..." She paused, looking sideways at Nuo. "But that would only be me talking, what would you like to talk about?" she could tell Nuo didn't really want to talk, but she was determined to get at least one conversation out of her before leaving her to her incredibly large shyness.
