Tell me something before you die, how do I really look? Do you like my pale skin, my empty eye....my bloody socket? Of course you do, I taste it in your blood. Your sweet delicious blood that forces my body to crave you, oh wait....damn you're limp now, death has finally crossed you, fine I'll give up on your erection.
Die you worthless piece of.....

Her eyes shoot open, sweat beading on the top of her forehead; beading and collecting until the point it slowly crawls down her face, collecting finally at her chin and dripping off to the cold ground before disappearing in the dirt. The dirt drinking up at her sweat as if it hadn't drank in life times, a sight that made her crave water.

Now, she never actually 'saw' the earth drink the water, but she felt it and heard it scream in agony as water touched its flesh for the first time in decades.
She lay there, spread out and topless in the tiny shade of the only living plant, a dead looking old tree, begging for life, rain, anything.
The solid ground was heaven, and the rainless nights were even better....but only till now, when her water sack had ran out and her button up white shirt had become too hot, forcing her to hang it up on the dead tree along with her empty, limp water skin.
She slowly pushed herself to sit, her eye patch burning against her flesh, and her chest wrap finally becoming too much for her to bare.
"I'm going to die out here....half naked, and hot....great!"

The wooden cart rattled a bit as it trudged across the parched earth, pulled by the rotting carcass of a large animal that had once been living, driven by it's master's will alone. It was almost impossible to tell what animal it had once been due to the lack of effort put into raising it. On the back of the cart, amongst the rolled bundles of clothes or the carefully wrapped supplies of food and water, lay a dark clad figure completely enveloped in the black, life sustaining robes that kept his pale skin safe from the sun.
It seemed so long ago that he abandoned his family, friends, and others in pursuit of a better life. Of course now his mind filled with shadows of past memories and burdens and thoughts. All of which twisted and contorted in his mind aggressively, forcing him out of his sleep...
With a grunt, he rolled out of his sleep and sat up, rubbing his eyes and taking a drink from a flask. In the distance, under an almost dead tree, he saw an attractive, half naked woman which was a bit out of place here. He urged the animal over to her and gripped a knife underneath his robes. He was a bit cautious but only to the extent of common sense.

She could feel the object off in the distance, but pushed it off as nothing more than her mind playing tricks on her once again....up until the point it was close enough to her where she could hear the beastly creature fight off the spirits of the dead.
She pushed herself up, once again having collapsed to the dry, lifeless hell below her. Her empty eye scanned the horizon, her mind mentally punishing herself once again for even trying. All she saw was black, DUH.
She sighed, her mind unable to focus from the lack of water, the heat, and the shitty condition her body was in.
She knew something, and two things, living and breathing, were there.
"Who the hell is out there!?"
She screamed louder than she meant to, and blushed to herself in anger, if nothing else that would blow her cover.

He smirked to himself and ordered the animal to a stop and as soon as its cloven hooves came to a complete and utter stop, he calmly took a flask of water and silently vaulted over the edge of the cart. The dust merely parted as his feet hit the ground soundlessly. She looked intresting enough and he couldnt just let he die out here. Or at least thats what he told himself anyways. Either way, the company would be nice.
"I'm here", he replied simply, waiting on her response, immediately trying to determine what kind of person she was.
While he waited, he took one of her hands and placed the flask in it, kneeling to be on level with her. If she was dying, well he might as well make her last hours comfortable and if not, then he might as well help her out. It would be a terrible waste to let her die like that...

His voice rang through her body like a shot of pure alcohol, burning and screaming through every inch of her veins like the very hot lava it was.
It burned and attacked her brain, forcing her heart to pump faster, her mind screaming at her to attack, kill, run, something!
She sat there.
She never moved, never blinked, but turned her head towards him and locked her hand around the water. With a single upward thrust she drank large gulps of it, then moved from her mouth to the top of her head, spilling the rest across her body with complete ignorance to her sight.
Her vision slowly blurred as she sat there, the ground around her screaming lavishly as it drank happily.
She sat there the flask empty at her side, now dropped uselessly to the ground. Her entire body was soaked, dripping with a mixture of sweat and water, and her entire mind was clocked by the cold liquid, numbing her senses to the point the entire landscape was nothing but a clog of sounds.
"Thank you, now I'm blind."
Her words were cold, empty, and would have been harsh if not for the fact she was unbelievably near-death out here.

He smiled slightly at her, paying almost no attention to her perfect form which beamed even as she died in the heat. Though there was something else there, he felt. Something about this person that made him take pity on her.
He shook his head a bit to tear his mind away from the thoughts. She was dying and he helped her, nothing else. Right?
He turned his attention back to the prone figure on the searing earth. He stood up a bit and offered his hand to her.
"Lets get you out of here", he said softly, with a weak smile
The sun beat down overhead and a few buzzards circled here and there in the distance but he was oblivious to them

She grinned at his voice, it was soft and kind...like his, and it made her wince slightly. She sighed, she had no idea where his hand was and really didn't feel like making an idiot of herself by swinging her arm around till she found some part of him to grab onto; so she did the next best thing and held out her own left hand, a good foot or so away from the hand he held out for her.
Once again she spoke matter-of-factually and rather harshly, but not mean.
"I'm blind."
She wiggled her fingers slightly to make a point, a way of saying 'I have no idea where you are anymore smart a**!'

He laughed a bit at her but took her hand none the less, pulling her to her feet without giving her the chance to stand up herself.
"your so helpless", he said jokingly
He wrapped his arm her shoulder to guide her back to the cart. As far as he saw, she wasn't in much condition to find her own way over to the cart anyways, as funny as it seemed.
He started to walk back with her and out of curiosity wanted to ask where she was headed and what she was doing out here but he held it in.

She blushed some at his grip, it was warm and strong and oddly inviting; yet at the same time it made her burn with rage and memories. She didn't fight it, knowing without his help she would be helpless, wandering, and still blind and lost.
She forced herself away from him, not at the edge of the thing he had ridden here in....she ran her fingers across the edge, pulling back at tiny splinters as they tore through her soft flesh.
"Back on the dead tree....my shirt, can you retrieve it for me?"
Her voice was soft, dry, and at the same time confused....she couldn't figure out how to get in the stupid thing.

Her voice was soft, he liked it, yet harsh at the same time which he also loved. His mind was torn between emotions and thoughts and questions that burned in his brain and caused him to trp up for a moment.
"Alright, but first lets get you into the wagon so you don't kill yourself trying while my back is turned"
He placed a hand on her lower back and nudged her towards the cart before turning back to get the shirt.
He tossed the shirt into the cart and stopped behind her.
"So what's your name?"

She blushed slightly to herself at his firm touch, pushing her and helping her into the cart, where she finally sat relaxed. She lay her head back slightly, just enough to feel comfortable, and didn't bother turning her head towards his voice, too late to fool him into believing she wasn't blind now.
She listened to his question, his voice still haunting her as it rang off notes that once rang only from his throat....
"I'm Cheyko...."
She had given up trying to sound harsh, and staying awake, and she silently gripped her hot, dry, white button up shirt against her chest and lap in her arms before letting herself sleep....her mind drifting silently between the lines of dreaming and full consciousness before she finally entered the world of perfection.

Cheyko, she said in that perfect, angelic voice of hers taht echoed throughout his mind. He watched her fall asleep and smiled a bit when she finally did. She was beautiful....
Urg! What was happening to him? how was she doing this? Well at least this might give him something to figure out now....
He urged the beast forwards and checked his bearings with a map. He glanced back to her and lay across her legs, the rest of the space in the cart being occupied with small boxes and bundles of cloth. He figured he would wake up near the edge of the city..

It was silent, a soft pressure in her lap and against her legs, a pressure that was oddly welcomed even in the deadly heat.
It was silent until a loud thumb pushed through her brain, an odd sound that was followed by the soft screaming of a spirit leaving a body.
She sighed, pushing her almost fully recovered self up in the cart, ignoring the man sleeping against her legs.
She heard running water and people and knew instantly that they had actually made it to a town....they had, the animal hadn't been so lucky.
She sighed, and moved herself gently, careful not to wake him as she moved him off her legs, and positioned herself over him, not touching his body, but extremely close to his face....and she waited.

Shadowy forms danced in his mind, taunting him, screaming at him to kill himself, forcing him out of his sleep..... Of course he'd always had these dreams ever since he left his home but he'd learned to ignore them since, waking up without a word of complaint
He woke up to Cheyko's face, peering down at him which was by all means, a welcome sight and in the split second he had to think, he thought about kissing her but wisely thought against it...
"Hello there", he said with the ghost of a smile playing against his lips, his senses becoming fully aware of the fact that they were near a town

She grinned, her empty left eye staring down at him in an oddly dead-corpse kind of way, her right eye socket still happily hid behind the black patch.
She felt his heart race, but couldn't tell what expression he held on his face, even though his voice was oddly chirpy, making her ill.
She pushed herself away from him, and pointed with her right hand directly to the dead beast.
"He woke me up, dying..."
Her voice was empty, this time fully; her strength having returned to her.
